Ugh I had that happen to a project of mine a few months ago. it sucked but, like you, I tried again. We gotta remember to keep that resin warm! 👍🏻

Thanks for showing us your process Ben, your hits and misses. It’s a mark of confidence and maturity. Was is just me or did the shavings from this type of resin seem different, more plasticky? My favorite part is how the purple flower looks like a mini bonsai tree now that it’s green. Great project Ben, just lovely.

Many times I said "I knew it" when I finished, with you on that one Mr Ben 😁 Thanks for sharing that. End result is the prettiest, I like the green and the peaks on the burl look amazing 👍 It was was your crystal clear casting that drew me to your channel, awesome 👍

Brilliant choice on the burl stain, that base was insanely beautiful with both natural and shift in colours.

Wow ben, I do truly love watching your channel, you show us every project is an opportunity to learn, and not just the ones that go awry. It's awesome how you show us the failed projects, what may have caused the problem, and your next attempt. I was kind of bummed when you said the flower had turned green however I absolutely love how it had changed. With a little bit of natural sunlight I love how that second project transformed into something even more beautiful. Thank you Ben and I hope you never stop creating truly magnificent pieces!

Well it’s disappointing that the first one was a bust but at least you can learn from that mistake.
The second one turned out great. I wish the flower would have stayed purple rather then turning green but it’s still lovely.

I personally like that the flowers turned green, it made the colour balance much more gentle than if they had stayed purple, and that works really well with how delicate butterflies are

That was surprising! the wings on the Butterfly became Transparent. Shame about the the first one I think that would have turned out just as good as the second one. Keep up the good work and I will see you in the next video 👍👍

Ever tried using Hairspray to 'preserve' stuff like flowers bugs butterfly? It may help preserving the colors and shapes.

That is a male meadow Argus. Quite common in australia. They're attracted to certain bindweeds. They're ever present all year round in areas like Meadows. Places where there are alot of flowering weeds

What a beautiful work of art. Breathtaking.
You might consider clear coating the parts so they maintain their color.
Any simple quick dry version should work, a few light coats.

Man I tell ya, I haven't seen ANYONE do as nice of a finish as you do. Its immaculate. After seeing the burl I was thinking of maybe doing some wild looking ice capped mountains or like a scenery type. But not with regular colors, like some wild bright colors or something. Or maybe even like a tie-dye with different color broken resin pieces. Idk bud watching you makes my brain come up with all kinds of ideas. Lol
