    I'd like to see some videos that don't require a lathe. I enjoy playing with wood and resin in the shed but as much as I like the pieces you make I can't try to do them myself since I don't have a lathe. Something us poor folk can try to replicate would be great!

      I have used a number of different pseudo lathe, alternative methods for machining, wood, plastic, copper, aluminum, MS, BS, SS. Drill in a Vice, with the Workpiece mounted to a "cheap'o" hole-saw. Same again, but with a long 10mm bolt thru the centre. Bench-press Drill makes a reasonable Vertical Lathe. Belt-sander in a vice, or clamped to a bench, angle grinder, etc. BUT *SAFETY FIRST* !!! These are POWER TOOLS, they CAN Kill you, even Ben's lathe.
      Working with Wood and Resin, all you need is a chisel, rasp and a sanding block, and do it all by hand. The creative mind finds a way. ;)

    • @princessaria
      @princessaria 3 года назад +1

      You can make molds from propylene sheets or silicone. If you don’t have a ton of bulk to shave off and use a shiny mold, you have less work that you need a lathe for and less polishing to do.
