Thanks for stopping by, If you have time you can check out my new range of Eggs here www.etsy.com/shop/bensworx
Thanks for showing and telling the different temperature differences.
Not related to this video but i recently bought one of your Dragon eggs and it looks amazing, it’s one of those with a tree in it, i just had a thought that a tiny deer would look amazing in there alongside the tree if it can be done 🤔😁
Anyway i love it and i’m looking for others too, a backscratcher could also be really cool, just an idea 😁
One of your best videos by far!
Yes definitely different color I'd say like a ruby red to make it look like a crystal
Yeah please add the second color to that one it would be sick
While you’re actively avoiding an explosion, i also appreciate that you’re attempting to create an explosion.
Thanks Mate 😊

Lol sounds like gain of function research
Just a suggestion. Maybe use that infrared thermometer to measure the resin temp instead of guessing when its warm enough. You might get more replicable results. 2 degrees might make a big difference
Definitely add different color resin to the voids.
YES
I literally said 'fuck yeah' at my screen. Please do that thing.
wtf is your pfp
Did he do it??
Did this happen?
Literally King Of Random, levels of awesome content.
I’d say either a different color resin or some uv dye in the voids of the last one. Came out pretty cool!
Thanks Matthew
I would suggest a uv dyed resin so it can make the structures pop when u shine a uv light on it and will still look good without the light shining on it.
Yeah definitely perhaps an even darker blue or a blacklight reactive color even.
Awesome 😎👍. I think that you should make the 1st one into a paper weight and the second one like you suggested, in the vacuum in a color that will really pop. I think you should definitely keep dry ice in the shop freezer, cause you never know when it might be a great addition to your birthday parties and decorations. If I could, I would love to make dragon eggs with them. I think that they would be awesome to not only make but own.
Did you do something with second one ?
Suspense is killing me and i cant find that you did anything with it !!! Help pls😂
love that i came here for the title and got like 10x more than what i expected to see, in a good way!!!
Here's to finding out! :D
EDIT: Yes different color in the ant colony would be fantastic!
Agreed!
Seccond thst, lol.
Ooh, Red in Blue!
By all means yes do it!!!
Now I feel fortunate that the supermarkets around here sells dry ice
Dry ice in milk is probably the best visual representation of bubble gut I've ever seen.
It looks so satisfying though idk
I wish it could be hardened as a squishy like that lmao
it really reminded me of when I was a kid and id blow bubbles in milk with a straw
You go man!!!! This is so cool. Whole family loves you.
Thanks Guys 😊
Team different color on the new resin!
This looked amazing man! Between you, Nick Zametti's and Peter Brown's experiments I'm learning a lot in cool ways!
Thanks Mate
I used to love Nick, but lately he’s really...weird and not in a good way, he’s so over animated, it’s not even funny at all now, he was funnier when he was just being his goofy self, his videos are just bi-polar lately eg That awesome Lego river table then marmite in resin??? 🙄🤦🏼♀️
Yes, by all means, put another color in the dry ice one and see what it does. I loved these two ice videos. Loads of fun.
Next week Ben tries to cast Molten Lava in resin!!! Can't wait! ;)
Lol
The mad scientist in me salutes the mad scientist in you!
Thanks Pam😀
Ben..try using Ferrofluid with a magnet to get a spike effect and put that in resin..
Ooo good idea love it
I don’t think it would work cause Ferrofluid is too liquidy i think, so once he adds the resin on it the spikes would go away..
But i’m all for the experiment 😁
@@jonny555ive alright i stand corrected then 😁
Peter Brown.
Peter brown did iron files and strong magnets I’m still curious on ferrofluid
Please do more of the testing of different materials - different colours would be amazing also. This was an epic project.💜
"I think we're hard enough... let's give it a smash..." well if that's not what she said idk what is.
Ha! That's a beautiful and very underrated comment!
Keep in mind he also said he didn't want to get covered in mayo XD
So ocker, yet so good.
What about 5:25 - "I don't wanna be covered in mayo"
15:05
Hi Ben, What happens if you’re stirring the resin really fast when it cures? Do you get the cyclone 🌀 effect?
Can you use one of those electromagnetic stirrer that chemists use? Possibly with iron filings to create a vortex?! That would be cool!
Magnetic stirring doesn't work with such viscous liquids.
I mean that normal magnetic stirrers aren't strong enough.
@@hantrio4327 it’s pretty liquid when the two are mixed together with the wooden stick. I just wanted to know what the effect would be under pressure in the pot
@@hantrio4327 give it a go. It may work?
I know your channel isn't usual about experiments with things not resin related but I love the super cooled gummy experiment amd the random liquid ideas! More videos like this thrown in the mix would be awesome!!
Yes yes dude! A different colour resin in the vacuum chamber thingy. I reckon that would look super awesome!
I’ve been subbed for like 2 days and I’m already obsessed.
Thanks Mate! and welcome to my channel
No disappointments with Ben🙂
It was really cool watching the dry ice in the oil!
Do the vacuum coloring!!
This was awesome, love how thorough you were with your choices!
Thanks Ana😀
Great video! It might not be a feasible idea, but if you put the blank into the pressure pot with the dry ice in it, you will slow the rate at which it turns to gas, which might give you more control and may allow you to actually trap it in resin.
"OK, I think we're hard enough". Lol
"let's get to smashing"
@@jorritwegman9143 I think Ben just wrote the next Viagra advert. 😆
@@jorritwegman9143 "How cool was that? It was definitely worth the wait!"
I LOL'd at that bit, had to scroll down the comments to make sure someone else posted :D
And im the 69th like lol
Ever since I came across the egg shell Resin experiment I've been hooked on your videos. Both interesting and cool all at once
"I don't want to be covered in mayo..." XD
Oh, so many times I have had to say that. . .
Sounds kinky
Big Ed disagrees :)))))
That's what she said. 😃
@@xmas4203 oh my god
Oh WOW, amazing!
Evan and Kettlyn would love to do that!
You are turning more into a content creator every day, this might accually be your best video so far. Also that intro was very cute
Thanks Mate😀
Dry ice in Vegemite! In mayo! LOL! You're a riot Ben!
Fill up the ant nest with a different color. Make the color one that actually glows in blacklight!
Consider letting the epoxy thicken well, shove in the dry ice, and put it in the pressure pot. Mighty be able to slow the offgassing to give the resin more time to set.
"Buying bread from a man in Brussels
He was six foot four and full of muscle
I said, "Do you speak-a my language?"
He just smiled and gave me a Vegemite sandwich"
Another great experiment video , Ben! Loved it! Yes Red resin to fill the voids!!!!
Love it 😂 Thanks Mate
Love the Men At Work reference.
Yep, first time I ever heard of vegemite. But I thought the lyrics were "buying brand from a man named Russel".
Odd American here that genuinely enjoys Vegemite! Thanks for making such a lovely treat, friends (frenemies?) down under!
Just found this channel a few weeks ago and I love these videos so much. Keep it up!
Thankyou! and welcome to my channel
Seriously tho when is the RUclips algorithm gonna blow this channel up to a few million?!?!
Man I was thinking the same thing. DEFINITELY add like a red or vibrant color into the voids, let it dry and make something awesome on the lathe.
As a long-time resin artist, I can say you truly are a Resinologist. Much respect
That intro was pure gold 😂 great vid man
Thanks Mate 👍
Starts video: I foresee something exploding soon...
End of video: huh, that turned out really cool!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I find your videos so relaxing. Much love from England!
Thanks Leanne 😊
Cool video Ben!!
Might I proffer a play on your final idea. Try putting more dry ice than the last attempt and pour the resin over it. Then place that in a pressure pot to set to reduce extraneous bubbles. Once that sets pour an opposing color and place it in a vacuum chamber to such it in as much as possible. Worth a shot!
Definitely cool looking, good idea! Keep up the great work as the goal is for us to continue to inspire others to build something awesome! 👍🏼
This is science of the "fuck around and find out" variety. I like it.
Very cool. And a hearty "yes please" on trying to fill those voids with colored resin!
ETA: I have 3 of the 4 Beatles Hot Wheels (I'm a big fan), so I'm excited to see what you do with the yellow submarine!
I love you
Your ideas never cease to amaze!
Watching that dry ice turn to gas was sublime!
Nice pun
Watching it sublimate was such a gas!
Veggiemite glazed over a chicken & baked YUMMY! Married a Aussie took few tries but the flavor grows on you.
fun fact: dry ice carbonates liquid, so that cola (and all the other liquids) became carbonated, it would've literally been extra fizzy if he drank it
Mmmm carbonated mayo on sandwiches.....
Except the oil, oil dissolves CO2 very cleanly so it won't really bubble at STP.
I'm sitting here saying out loud "yes, yes, yes!" I'd love to see what would happen with coloured resin in it. Very cool experiments.
Thanks Lorna 😊
I honestly forgot what the video was about until he said “and now the moment we've all been waiting for” 10:32
So much fun! 🎊🎊🎊 It's like hanging out in the science lab⚗⚗⚗ with you....but we get to kick back and watch you do the 🧪🧪🧪 work! Hope you have an awesome weekend!🚀🚀🚀
Thanks Amanda😀
Me: "Okay I think we're hard enough, let's give it a smash!"
My girlfriend: "I don't want to be covered in mayo..."
Username checks out
I 100% want to see that second one with another resin, that sounds amazing
Care you going to put the Yellow Submarine on an octopus' garden in the shade?
the white vinegar gave off soooo much more smoke than i anticipated! great experiment!
I wonder if you injected liquid nitrogen into resin like how you did with water
Hi Ben, love your work, and commentary. Just for your information, I purchased all my woodworking machinery from Hare and Forbes. Great company and Alistair was a great rep.
Thanks Mate, yeah he’s a great guy 👍
Yes, Ben, please put it in the vacuum chamber with a different color resin! That would look amazing!
I had an Australian friend come over to America and she gave me some, at first i didnt like it but when you put it on toast it was actually good.
Vegemite is the greatest thing in the history of things. I have to order it online because they don't sell it in America. I tried it for the first time a couple of years ago and now I can't live without it.
Oh my goodness! I am extremely excited for the Yellow Submarine build! I am a huge fan of the Beatles and the movie Yellow Submarine is what made me fall for them. You create such amazing items and I know that this is going to be another beautiful project. 🤩
I'm from America and visited Australia for a college study abroad. one of the weeks I had a host family... the kids made me vegemite toast and I choked every bite of it down with the dad hiding his laugh over it because the kids put on a layer thick like peanut butter and I felt like I was eating salt. the next morning, I was given a much thinner layer on buttered toast and it was much more to my taste lol
the vacuum chamber idea is perfect. id LOVE to see that please
One of your best videos by far!
Thanks Mate😀
this is the part of science i loved in school was messing with random things and seeing the reactions
That is so awesome! A scientific work of art.
Subscribed to see you put these casts in the vacuum!
Thanks Mate
Your videos keep getting recommended to me. I've watched a few and have been very entertained. You have gained a subscriber. Thank you for your content
Thanks Craig, and welcome to my channel 😊
It wouldn't be a weekend without a video from Ben. You're turning into quite the mad scientist!! Fun, informative and like a lot of experiments, done because you can do it. Love this sort of stuff.
Not to worry though, my baggy fleece I wear in the shed when working, not as baggy as it used to be. I think mine shrunk too! 😉
Thanks Mate
Absolutely love the idea of using a different colored resin in the voids!
My bestie is Aussie and she made me try vegemite on toast. To be honest, it wasn't bad. It actually reminded me of something I ate a few times as a kid but no idea what. I'd eat it again.
Turned out super cool! Definitely try to fill the voids in a video!
Actually that void cavity with a blood read would look really awesome.
The vac chamber idea has the potential to be really cool. If it goes to plan, the finished product could be amazing.
I came here for the dry ice, not just the epoxy. And you did not dissapoint 🤘😁
I can't wait to see those voids filled, it should look fantastic!
Definitely fill those cool voids with a different color resin. Really unexpected man. Way cool.
That’s awesome you bought a FF construction bundle! Way to represent @cleetus!
Thanks Damian
So interesting!! It looks like glass crystals in resin, so pretty 😄
Cool ! Nice lab coat!! Looks sharp Dr Professor Ben!
As an American; Vegemite looks like the tar my dad uses to patch roads for the County.
Also blows my mind that Woolsworth is still a thing! My grandma talks about it.
Yes, please try using the pressure pot to try and suck another color of resin into that blank.
I would love to see what the dry ice does in the vacuum chamber and with a different color in the voids. Super fun video! Such cool reactions. 😊👍🏻
Thanks Christina😀
My new favorite channel! I think either a brightly colored resin or UV resin would look cool inside, or even an opaque black or metallic resin might look cool!
Great to watch very satisfying on the milk and resin. Defo put some red resin in would look awesome. Keep up the great work.
I loved all the experiments! Very cool video 😁
I was just thinking as I watched the second pour that it would be cool to go in and add a second color of resin. Definitely do that!
This is the perfect kind of video for yt to recommend me when I got up in the middle of the night to have toast (& I mean that as a compliment!)
Do those different colors!!! That’s such a good idea. You could make a whole dang mess of pieces full of whatever you want! I want to see a cave-system piece if you can swing it… with a lake at the bottom.
Coloured resin poured into the void left by the dry ice would be a challenge but ,I think ,have a cool effect. The milk with dry ice and resin......those bubbles looked uniform in size and over all shape. Colour the milk and make "grapes" or almost a bubble tea type thing. Uh oh the wheels are turning.......this dry ice thing is quite fun!
Crumpets, butter, very thin layer of vegimite... it's pretty good. I ate once a day it for almost a month. It took about 2 weeks to start liking it
Fantastic Ben !!
I was thinking towards the end that it would look good if you could drill a small hole and fill it with coloured liquid. Than you suggested it !! I can't wait.
Great video as usual.
Thanks Dennis, Your wasp piece is in the mail too
After seeing the milk bubble up I was waiting for you to try dropping dry ice into dish or laundry detergent for an insane bubble feast! Great video!
Different colour in the voids! Hell yeah! Make it happen man! 😀
Ben if you try that again, find a little diver figure you can put in the resin and then try to get the dry ice bubbles to trail the figure. That'd make an amazing piece.
I really enjoyed your experiments,, keep them coming.
I like the idea of doing all the colors. I say go for it.
The stuff he said was boring was mind blowing. The Cell like Bubbles in the Milk probably correlates to how the first living cells were started!
