I love the size and the use I get out of it is exactly what it was intended for ruclips.net/user/postUgkxUGaHtKW8MwCql2fPyIm9-ftTqSMzKFFA . I use it mostly for taking notes in school and studying and it for the most part has replaced all my note-taking on actual paper. However, the screen is not as bright as I'd like. The lights in my class are super bright and I have to adjust my angles often just to see what I'm reading/writing on the screen. It could be my eyes, but I think a brighter screen would still help. Also there is no mute switch. This might not be an issue for most people but for me, this being my first ipad and being an iphone user, I'm so used to having it there. Everyone can hear when I'm typing with it in the library (probably just me overthinking) but I'm sure I can adjust that in the settings. Just kinda inconvenient. Other than that, I really enjoy it overall

i'll save save you time and money don't but the new iPad if you really want a cheap iPad get the 2018 model for $249.99 I mean a $80 premium for a slightly larger screen and a dock connector that allows you to purchase a $150 + dollar keyboard is crazy. it is same screen res and ppi same cpu and gpu and same ram so you are paying really for the larger screen because if you are getting a cheap iPad odds are you won't want to spend over $150 more on a keyboard case. So save the $80 bucks or heck use it and save alittle more to get an iPad Air or pro. This is apples marketing at it's finest making people think it is a major upgrade/revision.

I have the Ipad 2018 and it works really good, I recommend everyone buying that in stead of this new one. The only difference on this newer one is that it is a slightly bigger screen. You can buy the 2018 model on amazon for 250$!!!
A suggestion get the 2018 iPad instead of the 2019 for cheaper, The ONLY difference is the screen size 9.7 vs 10.2 and the keyboard connector ONLY. & brand new

I got one of the 128GB 6th gen last month for $299 when Best Buy had them on sale. I figured they were clearing them out to make room for the new ones. Many times you can get a good deal when new ones are coming. My iPad is basically a deck of cards and newspaper

hecc_boii this wouldn’t really be an upgrade for you man, all the internals are the same and the only change is the larger screen which really isn’t drastic I’d suggest you upgrade to the iPad Air 2019

I bought the iPad 7th generation on sale to replace my aging 2012 MacBook pro
Khalin Rao If you haven’t already, you can upgrade your 2012 MacBook with an SSD and more RAM (up to 16 GB) very easily, as well, the battery is easy to replace. You may need a replacement hard drive cable (mine needed replaced). I upgraded all that on my 2012 mbp the past couple years and it runs as well as a newer Mac, very snappy performance. Check OWC Mac Sales website for components.

I owned a 3rd gen ipad so a 7th gen was no sweat. I got a good deal for $265 a 128gb ipad 7th gen. Can't beat it. The guy only used it a couple of hours. Some people get these as gifts so I benefited.

if you don't care about the keyboard, the marginally bigger display, or getting something new straight from apple, i'd say get the 6th gen ipad
same specs on every other front, still supports 3rd party apple digitizer pens like the logitech crayon and adonit note, and it's about $220-$250 depending on where you get it
I am on my 2nd Mini I had the original and now the 5. I take it with me in my bike bag and read at coffee shops. It’s great for that and even at home I watch RUclips on it. I traveled with it and a BT keyboard I can pay bills or do email. If I was going to do a lot of documents or even web based work with an iPad I would get one of the larger ones.

I am tempted to buy the Apple keyboard, but am not sure that even with the new up-coming
IOS13, moving files around will be as easy as my Macbook, even whether it will be possible at all.
I also have an iPad mini4 and an iPad Air 2, both are still in good order.
I bought the 10.5 Pro mainly for the better sound.
I will probably buy a keyboard to try it .
I live in England and with the weaker pound, Apple prices look a bit more expensive, now.

I only live 15 miles from an Apple store, so I could pick one up and try one out,
for a week or so, which would be plenty of time time to decide.
I will do that , as soon as the new IOS is released.
They might have one set up , to try, in the store, but up to 14 days would be the best option.

With the smart connector for a keyboard and the pen, this 2019 10.2 IPad is clearly targeted at the education market and is meant as a Chromebook killer. I was on the verge of buying a Chromebook, but I might wait until the end of September and trade my 128 Gb 2017 iPad for this new 10.2 iPad actually.

I bought iPad 10.2 7th generation nd I'm happy with all functions but the photos are kind of blurry. I'm don't know is because the bigger screen or my IPAD is defective.
I’ll stick to my mini 5 I love the laminated display and the speed of the A12 chip. Plus my mini 5 is super portable which is very important to me.

I think one thing no one is asking about the 10.2 iPad is if it can do animation. Digicel FlipPad seems to work fine on iPhone 5S, so it should be able to run on this iPad.
Greg, do you expect the iPad Pro to be refreshed next month October or next year since it usually has a 1.5 year refresh cycle or will Apple make it an annual refresh now like the iPhone lineup?
All rumors are pointing to it getting a refresh in October. So I’d expect it then.

Was deciding between the iPad 7 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. Went with the Samsung. The iPad has a faster chip and better display, the Samsung like other Android tablets, makes it much easier to transfer media to the device, share stuff via Bluetooth, etc. I just wanted more flexibility. And it's not like the Samsung is a slouch and has a bad screen. In fact the performance is pretty much on the level of most mid-range phones and the screen is pretty good.
