Carlos Nogales was going along pretty good until he entered the wash cycle inside the barrel. That was an awesome surprise even l was unprepared for just watching it takes place ! Great Cinematography, guys !
perfect audio for a video like this dude! and u got some slightly deeper cuts mixed with all time greats...a shame there's not more like this...most are friggen rap or some sort of house, techno, synth crap
Great video. Great soundtrack. 'Man in the box' no doubt that is exactly what you become after wiping out on a big wave. It's Like being put in a box ( the result of your predicament) and then being thrown into a maelstrom, yet stll spiritual. And being removed from all the wickedness back on land makes it worth the risk to be in another realm.
The first time I saw waves this size in person was at waimea bay. I couldn't even believe it. They haunted my dreams. I can't imagine having a wave that size crash on top of me. I don't know how anybody survives it
KIPP Caddy wasn't at Jaws, since when does Jaws have step offs and frigid water in need of a wetsuit lol. Thinking that shipsterns again lol. Also Haiti has some pumping surf huh? Wtf lol
Lots of labeling mistakes here mate, but I appreciate the awesome footage! B| 2:50 pic is NOT Waimea, it's "shipstern's bluff", perhaps "the right", both in Australia. 3:39 - 4:00 vid is NOT Jaws, that also either "shipstern's", or perhaps "the right". Those two are distinct, but are difficult to tell apart, bc they both have those insane little waves popping-up & breaking inside the big wave. Un-surf-able for mere mortals!
This takes major league courage and fitness. And by the way, Teahupo'o is in Tahiti, French Polynesia not the Caribbean island country of Haiti. Wrong hemisphere.
The bad thing about a wipe - out is you can go through several washing machine cycles all on one breath, prior to ever getting to the rinse cycle, so to speak, before letting you go. . . . . The Bigger....The Badder, Generally and A Crazy Rag Doll in between.
I know they aren't the biggest waves but something about the close outs and wave shape at Puerto Escondido and color of the water there scare the hell out of me
Attempting to and successfully riding these waves...the ballziest things humans do on this planet in my opinion. Ive surfed a lot in my life but never have and never will attempt anything over 10ft (Hawaiian scale)...no way, not fun...survival anything over 20foot faces. How do you survive these wipeouts, I mean...mind boggling.
the first recording- 'Man in a Box' , by Alice in Chains. Much better in studio recording, and there is also a really good live recording other than this one. Alice in Chains....great guitar melody and riffs indeed.
Major respect to these surfers who take on the worst, and are the best at what they do!
Thanks for the text right in the middle of every wipeout
Its amazing how any of them survived
Carlos Nogales was going along pretty good until he entered the wash cycle inside the barrel. That was an awesome surprise even l was unprepared for just watching it takes place ! Great Cinematography, guys !
Surf and Alice in Chains, just amazing!!
I agree...yeah!
I'll stick to Santana and Neill Young.
Astras always the best footage love the music ...cheers ..whats the music at Shipies ..
I HAVE TO give this a 👍for simply the excellent musical choice. AIC🤘🔥🔥🔥
0:54 James Mckean. This is the most evil wave I've ever seen.
IIRC, he almost died. Broke some bones, I think.
Ay my last name is McKean
Usually I (and a whole bunch of others) hate music in surf videos but for this compilation it works...
AIC and surfing just seems like the best combination
Watching a video like this is a reminder of the price to pay for the best rides
perfect audio for a video like this dude! and u got some slightly deeper cuts mixed with all time greats...a shame there's not more like this...most are friggen rap or some sort of house, techno, synth crap
A 10 foot shorebreak felt like the end of the world to me lol. The thought of falling 20 ft and then having a small lake dumped on me is unimaginable.
Awesome compilation, glad they all survived. And thanks for the AIC sound tracks , and for not playing friggin Rap!
Great music for great wipeouts. And my family thought I was crazy for riding a horse!
00:20 My condolences to that Dudes family!
2:30 Matt Becker, that air drop...what an effort. ..just for a second it looked good...dang tho..took it on the chest !
That is just knarly...diggen the live Alice In Chains.
The second clip in the video is crazy!!!
he repeted the same wipeout for shipsturns and jaws
That guy was thrown with such Force that he turned into a Skipping Stone
I never want to experience these wipeouts... amazing I keep watching thinking ouch ouch ouch hold breath....dont die
Great video.
Great soundtrack.

Ever wonder why Nazare is videoed from so far away? Cuz those waves are on an ethereal level.
awesome video!...kick ass soundtrack bud!!!
Thanks!!!
Best music hands down. Thanks 🙏🏼
+Brewbanshee Thansk for your comment!
at 3.58 is Shipsterns not Jaws!!!
Right. Each place has its own shape of very large and powerful waves. I think that you have to be nuts to surf Shipsterns.
@@davidkugel Shipstern looks like suicide. F that
Or the right
Monster WIpeouts!~ Be Safe! Nick
Time to add aerodynamics to these boards to make flying easier.
bro at 1:52 he sliding, DAMn, imagine how fast he was going
The scariest ones are the Teahupoo ones they are ridiculous, the swell is so big and that break is just so thick and heavy it's insane.
The first time I saw waves this size in person was at waimea bay.
I couldn't even believe it. They haunted my dreams. I can't imagine having a wave that size crash on top of me. I don't know how anybody survives it
Good video. Great tunes!

I don't think no human alive could have made that Shipstern Bluff multiple rolls at 1:00.
What a monster of a wave.

+Marcelo Godoy ALICE IN CHAINS, Man in the Box :)
I tried imaging taking one of these wipeouts with minimal surfing experience for a cool million....
Ernie Wantanabe id like to say I’d do it but I’m not sure how I’d react once In the moment. I only have 4 months surfing experience lol
@@Sam-81810 lol
So Kipp Caddy caught the EXACT same wave at Shipsterns AND Jaws at the same time? Huh? :/
YTT Kokonut Gaming pretty confusing aye

Grant Baker' s 40 story freefall drop at Waimea was not a good way to start training for his Pilot's Flying License. @ 2: 55
Ain't nothing in surfing worth
