Always love it when someone finds the classics and explores them in their own way. I remember getting Fallout 2 from Electronics Boutique the day it was released WAY BACK. Being the dusty gamer I am, Fallout 1 and 2 solidified my love of dense and deep RPGs. But... There was one before that started me on the path... The Ur-Quan Masters. If you need something that'll take you on a wild ride, that is the game to do it. And it's better than ever to play, since source code was open sourced and assets released creative commons, so the fans have made a modern edition with all the features.
Genuinely loved your review/playthrough of the fallout games. Your style is awesome, and your animation's are cool. Hope you make more on the fallout series or just games in general.
Mariposa was excavated by the Enclave, and the mutants are their workers who transformed because of the FVE in the air, so the Enclave blew the door again and left them imprisoned inside. None of those mutants were part of the Unity, they are second generation mutants.
in hindsight id say he did exceptional. not by the way he played the game, of course not, he is a bloody newbee. but the fact that he didnt spoil himself, didnt look for a convienant build - that is what is to hold in the highest regards in these times. for the car: back in the days you had your car as long as you went for new reno for the first time, because there was a bug ( you couldnt get your stolen car back. i cannot remember why though, i think it had something to do with the workshop not properly loading - but dont nail me on that). ofc once you knew this, you would always park your car in front of new reno until you explored the other areas of town to park the car there. on my first playthrough i assumed it was intended for your car to be stolen and you cant just get it back - the wasteland is a harsh place after all =b ofc this makes no sense, because you could have items in the trunk that are necessary to finish the game ( the tanker f.o.b. for example) and that would somehow have to be prevented by the devs...

For when your save got messed up I found that saving over a save where you are in combat fixes it for me. Also getting to Navarro, either use the car or save scum. If you run into an enclave patrol you can just run away from them. Save every 2 or 3 squares. Also you can sneak past darion in Vault 15 Edit: seems you did save scum, nice.

For me it's the opposite. I have hundreds of hours in Fallout 1 and 2. And more than 600 in New Vegas. But I can't play 3 or 4, I find them so freaking boring.
My game would always crash in klamath where the vertibird crashed, and at entering mariposa. a fix for me was when i put the "violance setting" to None. Maybe that helps.
Shame you missed a companion opportunity in Vault Shitty. (Cassidy, the bartender in the Courtyard bar.). I think you'd love comments he makes throughout the game.
You've reminded me about the mod that let you loot armor from the enemies. I remember getting this one few years after original release. Tried to get one recently and... you can't loot Power Armours, neither Advanced ones - which you could in older version... or was that different mod creator? What a let down... I remember that you could get Adv Power Armor MK2 from the trooper near crashed verbird in Klamath if you passed ridiculous skills requirements.

You can actually walk around camp navarro if you leave marcus and have the armor. With a mutant companion, they will fight you
