Guy who has almost 500 hours on GTFO here. There is so much more to this game, it's story, it's world and the absolute horrors that await you in the games hardest levels. I have roped many of my friends into this game and I am glad that more and more people are making videos on it. It is one of the best coop shooters ever made and I'm glad it's getting the attention it deserves. While I wont agree with everything, this is an excellent video to get people into the game, good job man!

One secret nobody talks about in fo and fo2 is that you can ENTER a hexmap at any point while world traveling by clicking your position, and in fo2, they improved that by making that some places, according with your location in the world map, can have ra dom stuff. And i dont mean random encounters, but rather just random stuff in generic maps. And my favorite is the rock wall map that if you click it, it has a cave entrance, and inside is ALWAYS a cretures nest, from rats, molerats, radscorpions, raiders, to even deathclaws... and i mean nest like, having 12 to 20 creatures, so, yeah, 20 deathclaws to fight, and you can cross the cave and exut on the other site for another random location with some loot, but the main thing is the grinding EXP, specially with the deathclaws, which you can SOLO LEVELING by choosing Jinxed,max your luck, choose medicine and unarmed as skills and just... pass ypur turn each round... you see, every AP point you dont use in fo2, goes to your AC, so if you have 10ap, you get +10AC And jinxed is the jewel of the crown. Just like dnd, in fo1 and fo2 you have an invisible dice that rolls for percentage, and in attack rolls, like if it was a d20, when you roll a nat1 in an attack, you critfail, meaning there are different lists depending of you equiped item (weapons, explosives, melee) and who is near you... but by having Jinxed, instead of just critfailing on nat1, you will crit on all odd numbers when you 'miss' an attack (50% of the times you miss) but, also will do the creatures attacking you... so this combo goes like this: with high luck, max luck hopefully, the game grant you a bettee chance to roll even numbers, also, by passing turn you dont attack, so less possible critfails for you, and increase your AC, meanimg enemies can miss more often, and high luck also mean enemies will roll odd numbers more often, meaning, yes, critfails for them... nlw, desthclaws have unarmed and attack in packs, mesning their critfails are: broke its own arms or legs, hit a nearby ally creature, fall prone and miss turn, hit itself and deal damage,hit itself and lose turn, and my fav, hit itself critically fall prone and lose next turn I have exterminated a lot of deathclaw nest being lv7 all by myself it kinda look like doomguy doing its job in hell. I wast trapped there with 20 desthclaws, they werent trapped there with me and my bad omen chaos, at the end, most of them just start crawling away because have both arms broken, prone and one leg broken, trying to escape a maniac that in battle just stand there and do nothing 😅😂😂😂

I love 'active skills'. Like there is that 5lavers base that has like 12 guys and i was all by myself, but they wont attack you unless you provoque them... so i went inside and the house hast 3 sections: outside, inside, and office, and there is even a backdoor that is kinda locked and only the boss can open. So i activate my sneak and picklocks and LOCKED the doors from inside to outside and once outside, proceeded to fight the guys, but not 12 at the same time, noo, like 2 or 3 per time, i can manage that, then heal, unlock next door, k1ll the guys there, heal, and repeat... they dont have the keys, so they cant open then and the boss wont do it so i can singlehandlely exterminate a full base, and is something you cannot do in 3d fallouts... the locking doors, i mean

I like to think that they made the kids look like that... so that you wouldn't feel so bad about blowing the little pickpockets in half 30 minutes later.

I watched a few players suffer because 1. They didn't realize they can type out with the number pad what quantity of items they're trading. instead of clicking the buttons a bajillion times 2. They didn't realize they can press the number key in the overworld to quickly choose a skill so now all you have to do is click what you're trying to use the skill on 3. They didn't know they can use the mouse scroll button to scroll inventories instead of clicking the arrow buttons On second thought, you don't get really get instructions to be able to do that. I love these old games but they're not very intuitive. The older fans tell them to read the manuals but let's be real, it's completely understandable why most modern gamers would not expect to have to do that

8:41 To be fair to Tod, Fallout 3/4/76 take place on the east coast, far away from the NCR. It would make sense there would be an alternative form of currency, why it MUST be bottle caps, which just so happens to be the currency in the Southern California 100s of years prior to those games, escapes me, but it would make even LESS sense that it would be NCR dabloons or whatever they are called.

I was 10 years old when F2 came out. I bought F2 and half life from a school book fair. They were the first 2 PC games i played that werent hand me down 5.25" floppies from my uncle (hunt for red october, lemmings, earl weaver baseball old heads iykyk. I know modern fallouts arent so odd to see being played today but it makes me so happy to see the old school rpg fallouts get love

One of the best games of all time. BTW there is patch that has been around for decades lol, that allows you to play this without all the weird glitches. A few other things have been optimized also. Never play this without the patch lol, nobody needs to do that anymore.
