Even if you are already someone who uses a cane, this video is for you.
Self Defense systems, such as Krav Maga, Aikido, Judo, Jiu Jitsu, Ninjitsu / Ninjutsu, Karate, and more will all, depending on style, have skills to offer, using the cane.
Five Elements Tactical Training focuses on Self Defense, Home Defense; firearms safety, marksmanship, and tactics, emergency and disaster preparedness, survival skills, and the Warrior Mindset... for beginners, intermediate students, and coaches and instructors alike.

Wonderful demonstration! Had thoughts of training last little while. As I age find predators take advantage, time, space, opportunity are stacked in their favor. Mental preparedness with training may give an avenue to escape. I’m in!

Recently had to start using a cane. Never thought about the direction of the handle! I'm an old very stubborn vet and can definitely whoop ass with these simple techniques. You have a new subscriber.

Great advice, Kyoshi. Practical scenario: You're a businessman who carries CCW in his home state but gets assigned to a week of training at your company's Philadelphia office. Your cane goes with you. On the subway, a man assaults an innocent women while the public films it. Your cane stops the assault.
Scenario #2, your company sends you to Paris for meetings. No weapons allowed but you take your cane. When you get off the Paris metro at the St. Denis station, it appears you're in Algeria. A circle of young men approach you and one has a knife. You use these cane self-defense moves and run.

Awesome demonstration! I’m 39 and unfortunately need to walk with one of these due to severe arthritis, I never considered using my stick as a Defense weapon! I will be getting practicing tomorrow morning!

well thought out simple effective techniques. much better than that “grand master” idiot. i started martial arts in 1969 and continued through out the seventies i followed the martial arts scene ever since. i use a cane now with arthritis and a recent knee replacement and came up with many of the same moves as you showed. also retired law enforcement i had many classes with the pr24 and incorporated a few moves from that as you did. what i learned from this video is holding the cane the other way has a lot of advantages. i also never lead with the hook as i believe whoever has the hook has control of the cane which i’m not in a position to give up. if i was younger and more able it might be a different story. i really like your simple and effective techniques much like michael janich’s who i think has the best self defense course out there. thank you!
