At 86 and using a cane to help me walk, I don't have the luxury of a first strike and run away. I need my first strike to incapacitate.

Great video, Joe! Having acquired some of these skills over the last few months working in the ACSD system, the application still needs to drilled home for me. Repetition is the mother of skill I always say and as I keep practicing the curriculum and watching the application, all of this becomes more and more natural for me. Thanks again…see you in class.

Joe: Do you have a LE background? Many of your concepts, particularly the verbalization, reminds me of the baton/ PR24 training I had as a cop. Love your stuff.

Thanks for commenting and your kind feedback Tim! Many of our tactical concepts do come from training law enforcement including verbals. Thank you for following and your LE service.

Look at African stick fighting ! They normally go low first as it reduces the opponent’s ability to move around !

I like my cane a lot heavier, as long as I am capable of handling that.

Thank you for commenting Adalbert! Originally, Heavy Canes were the way to train at ACSD and many still prefer it. Today with the innovation of woods and designs, Hybrids etc. Caners have options - Keep Canin', Stay Safe!
