Dude, your videos are freaking good. You deserve more views
Ayyy thank you so much!!
The lady in the boat was 🔥 hahahha
Loving your 'solo energy'
Thanks :)
Great video.. heading to Hoi An today and watched this while in Hue’ which has been a great surprise and not to be missed.
Oh, Hoi An! Always always love Hoi An.
Another great video Joel! Keep killing the RUclips game.
Ayyy thanks man! 😊🙌🏼
was there the same day! (lantern festival). easily one of my favorite spots in vietnam!
Ahah no way! That’s crazy!
Keep up the great content Bro
Thanks man!
Great video! I'll be in Hoi An in 3 weeks and I was enjoying your video very much! Very informative and good fun👏👏
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it 😊🙌🏼
There's a ton of stuff to do there. You can do a food tour ("Steph and Pete" had a great guide there), cooking lessons, ride around the bikes to see things like how they grow veggies or make straw sleeping mats, lantern making, etc. I saw a family do a tour through Jack Tran Tours that looked like a lot of fun.
Looking forward to see your next video.
Thank you! 🙌🏼
Thanks for an awesome video. I plan to be there next month.
Nice vlog man! Love it
I think you were so brave while talking, riding and recording at the same time in VN.
ahaha thank you! I had mounts attached to my bike and chest so it was easy to record!
Well done man, the editing is amazing
Love your video. FUN FUN FUN
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)
Nice vlog, nice pacing and effin nice music choice for scenes!
Glad you enjoyed it
You should go to Phu Quoc Island bro! Phu Quoc Island is the largest island in Vietnam which is located in the Gulf of Thailand. Phu Quoc Island is quite large and has two distinct seasons including the rainy season and the dry season. Whatever the season, the weather in Phu Quoc is always cool and mild.
Just returned from Phu Quoc and it was definitely not mild. I was sweating my bollox off 😂
Lol, its never cool or mild there, always hot. That said, Phu Quoc is one of favorite places in Vietnam.
Looks fun!
The lady control the “boat” she loves her job and she is good for your video- i like her effort that she put on you making you einjoy
Are you going to Phong Nha to see the caves or do multi-day caving? If you're adventurous, definitely consider doing that. Paradise and Dark Cave can be done if you don't have a lot of time, but you can also do a 1 day or multi-day caving. Also, Ninh Binh is worth a trip as the views from the top of the mountain with the dragon are amazing as well as the boat rides around the area and the bird sanctuary and such. Consider doing a homestay and tour in Ba Be Lake (saw a British couple do it and it looks cool - they said it was the best tour they've ever done).
Unfortunately we didn’t head to Phong nha!
You're cute. Love this video! You're doing awesome, from filming to editing, I can't wait to watch more.
Really enjoyed this vlog. You did a great job showing us the town and that lady on the boat had such great energy 😁
Oh amazing energy. she made the experience incredible!
This video is very funny!
Ahaha I’m glad you enjoyed it! 😊
If i ever make it to Vietnam I definitely have to take one of those boats lmao!!
💛💛💛Vietnam also has many beautiful provinces to visit that you haven't yet experienced. The northernmost, the middle of the country, the southernmost.💛💛💛
I love to watching you video.
Awww thank you so much!! 😊
At 5:56 the lady said "Đi rồi, đi thúng rồi" she means "I'm gonna go, customer is here" :)))
nice video
Great vlog;! Never realized Hoi An has such variety. We? When is the other half returning?
Emilia is back in the Hanoi video!
@@Joelfriendnice to hear you’re going to hanoi, mate
❤❤❤
Hope you will go to Hue city 😍
Thank you!
Which month was it that u filmed this? I love your videos man! Planning my trip to Vietnam soon..
Welcome to the beautiful Vietnam 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😃😃😃😃😃😃🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Do you live in Vietnam now?
Is it too hot now?
@@shahram4553 you are so great when you come to vietnam 🥰🥰🥰, You have experienced many things when you come to Vietnam, right?, I Love you
@@tranphuong7890
Yes, it's true, I experienced many things, but not in Vietnam; Other places, dear friend, I really like to come even in bad weather!
@@shahram4553 I hope you will have a pleasant and comfortable experience, You are so cool😜😜😜😜
Was it nice to have that change of pace traveling solo or did you wish Emilia was there?
It was different and good to do, but at certain points especially the lantern festival I wished Emilia was there so we could experience it together!
so ive been to saigon. if i come back for another 2 weeks. which cities do you recommend? obviously hoian and what else in that short amount of time?
hello! i would like to ask, what would you recommend between having hoi an + da nang VS ha giang loop tour in an itinerary?
Note to self:
Faifo coffee
MOT Hoi an (iced herbal tea)
Where’d you get that hat? Hanoi??
Best pizza ever
Bro, where did you buy the hat, please?
15:02, soooo.. Can i get a free beer?😄
I thought Hoi An was one of the most overrated places in Vietnam. Beautiful on the surface, but overly touristy. I even thought the boats felt a bit tacky. The lanterns on the river felt like people were adding to the pollution of the area, washed up on the shore every morning.
Where did you get your hat bro
It’s quite common in little tourist markets most towns with tourist will most likely sell them!
@Joelfriend Awesome thanks joel arriving Vietnam 🇻🇳 in March 2024 spending 6 months riding around this Amazing & Beautiful Country. Than Cambodia 🇰🇭. Great footage Joel. Really enjoyed this video. 👍What will you do with your suit? Will you send it back home?
Yes I sent it home it costs around £55 about half the cost of the suit, but couldn't fit it in my backpack.
@@Joelfriend That’s great. It looked very good. 👍
You are lovely
Ahah thanjs
Thank you for your time and posting. I'll be there in November 2024. For hopefully three months and if all goes well, I will want to retire there. My income is US$3,500 (social security and VA disability benefits). I love to go to garage sales. :) Great job.
14:26, that's called parasailing .
YESS!! That's it! Thank you!

Fai Fo is actually the former name of Hoi An .
Oh that's cool! Thanks for sharing!
No, Fai Fo is the Latin name of Hoi An in marine trading map. Hoi An is the Sino-Vietnamese name of that port town
@@caovan4912 Fai Fo a Latin name ? Did you learn Latin man ? Fai Fo figured on the ancient map of the kingdom of Dai Viet since the Le dynasty way before the arrival of the Europeans in VN
@@hungcuongnguyen293 Do you know that Hoi An was a famous trade port controlled by the Champa people a very long time before taken by Dai Viet? Even from the time of the Roman Empire. And FaiFo is just a name to write the sound of its name by the Latin character. So does it need meaning in Latin langue? when it's a private name, like many trade ports in Arab, India, Malay ...
@@caovan4912 Hoi An might have another name under the Champa rules , but definitely not Hoi An as you said and everybody is calling it today . When the Chinese merchants came there at the end of the 16th century , they called that port Hoai Pho ( same as they called Bien Hoa Cu Lao Pho ) and later the Portuguese missionaries called it Faifo (using almost the same phonetic) and wrote this name in Latin alphabet to facilitate the reading and writing . So Faifo could be considered as the first official name of this port town recognized and written as such on all ancient European and Dai Viet / Vietnam ( from the Restored Le to the Nguyen dynasty ) maps . This little town is officially named Hoi An only after the independence of VN from France . Do you know why Vinh Bac Bo is internationally known as Gulf of Tonkin instead of Gulf of Vietnam ? Where the name Tonkin came from ? If you don't I will give you the answer on my next reply .
I have qution . 100 miljoners citizens all vietnams youtube vides the streets empety no many pepole. where are they . can someone answer I will be grateful .in thailand the streets full of pepoles 🤔
Ở Việt Nam chỉ đông người vào Ban đêm thôi, Chứ ban ngày người ta đi làm trong xí nghiệp hết rồi
Vietnam doesn't have super - or mega-cities like Bangkok, Manila,...etc. The biggest city is HoChiMinh city with the population in government statistics data around 10 mil.; but the real population including temporary immigrants can reach 12-14 mil. The 2nd big city is HaNoi-the capital with a population of 8-10 mil. DaNang city-the biggest city in the Central region has around 1.2 mil. HoiAn has about 80,000 people. Vietnam's government encouraged even development between regions and cities, not focusing on 1 or 2 main cities. Vietnamese don't like the sun, especially at noon and early afternoon time; that means they prefer to stay in the house that time.
Joel you look older in these latest videos! lol
Nice! I'm growing up 😁
I hope all the best for Vietnam 🇻🇳🇻🇳.
I am so allergic to the red communist flag, man!
