@@gregorysmith2548awww man, I was serious. When I stop for gas and food in lumberton the restaurants I’ve visited has always been good and fresh. I’m thinking because it’s a halfway stop for people traveling from NY to Florida. Lumberton gets a bad rep because because it’s small town and dangerous 😅😅
Would u say this small town is thriving or growing.. getting better? I noticed there’s a lot of inexpensive places to rent and live but wouldn’t want to relocate if it’s not a good place to live.
Letecia Stauch "put Lumberton on the map" only to then make people aware of the horrific crime rate. The National Guard had to provide security in the high schools?
There are no attractions here really, for example, the movies have been worked on for almost a year now after they tore our other down into an empty parking lot for years. We have a roller skate park but kids fight there and too crowded for a whole town to enjoy 1 thing besides a park. Museums and theaters are excellent but I find it difficult to promote that to teens or upcoming generations, We have a lot of crime cause kids have nothing to do out here besides drugs and guns (the number of gunshots I wake to and stop signs I see shot up). Instead of putting money into an entertainment or attraction building, we are now in the construction of AGAIN another gas station a 711, and a car wash. We get a need to make a restaurant every other month or rebrand an old bk building and all we have is food!!! As stated in the video "Those and 100 other restaurants give you all you need" Obese people and the classic American highway exit are slammed with consume consume consume and gas! I stay in the countryside and yes the rivers and nature are beautiful, I advise you to only go enjoy the country and the local food of Lumberton, but it is impossible to afford anything out here, and when you do it is a cheaply made trailer where the rent or light bill changes with no warning anytime. You're better off staying with some family member to live in one of NC's poorest towns. Ask any homeless and they'll talk about how they have no place to sleep cause cops and the community is more up their ass than finding these people who are getting away with a stabbing in the parking lot. But hey!! I might need to run Lumberton's Twitter and get a better insight into why these issues are not solved in years. Downtown has art in several locations, and I enjoy going there but it never has life when I go until there is an event or lunch rush. It's mainly what was shown in the clip, the rest of downtown is some car dealership on every corner. I wish we didn't rely on just grants, could see my hometown grow and bring it alive again as stated. Nice plug at the end, shout out-to happenings on elm was nice but another example of not appealing to younger generations and just food yet again.
Lumberton has not much there. It has a lot to do with crime & flood. I left Lumberton in 2012. I still go to Lumberton my family is still there., even if crime is around . People can't move away like that. It is what it is.😮😊
Wonderful job on these videos, you're helping to put Lumberton on the map!
Thank you 🙌🙌

They seem to be revitalizing but I’d certainly ask the locals!
Most people leave this area
As of 2021 it is the #1most dangerous city in NC
I go Lumberton sometimes. It might be dangerous some. My family is still there. It has bad good & bad times in Lumberton .

Don't. It's inexpensive for a reason. My wife and I made the mistake of moving here in 2022. We just moved.

Sorry nothing there is the best. I left in 1988. It destroyed itself.
