You can also install this by removing the steering column from the car. The motor stays in the car. 1. Follow steps in video up to 1:41 2. Remove plastic trim from underneath dash and around steering column. 3. Disconnect electrical harness from steering column. 4. Unbolt 2 bolts holding the column to underneath the dash and 3-4 bolts holding it to the firewall. 5. Take steering column out of car. 6. I had to use an impact to remove the nuts from the original rubber bushing at 1:42 You can just follow the video after that. I used blue Loctite on the nuts to secure the new bushing and I would recommend going straight to the aluminum instead of poly.
although id like to replace mine and have the poly bushing, im not going to pull the engine out just to do so like in this video. A video demonstrating how to do so without removing the engine would be pretty useful compared to this.
Whilst we would love to, it would be super tricky to get a camera in there. In saying that, the same rules apply for installation you just need to position your tools more strategically and or get that friend with really small hands as mentioned in the video!
Sorry dude, we are not running any discount codes at this point in time, but we do have combo prices, intro prices, free shipping and merch throughout the website to save you some coin where we can!

Ain't that the truth!
These videos get better everytime, I have the aluminum one of these waiting to be installed! Can you guarantee the 4% more confidence?
Thank you and yes but only if you can whip that $30k Econobox, then we can talk!
"let's head back to the way overpriced car"
OOOOOOKKKKKKKK 😂😂😂
Sweet video, super easy to watch! Keep it up!
Thanks dude!
S13... econobox... never thought I'd hear that!

Totally do-able with most engine set-ups. Done it on an SR and a 1uz s13, easier if you go at it from the bottom obviously
Do it on a car hoist with engine in took 1/2 hour... And ive also done in mums shed with engine in, not fun took nearly 2 hours.
Hi, where can I get this bushing and the plastic and metal sleeves?
Do you need those 2 metal shims for the solid one? I installed mine without them👀
They act as a washer and a failsafe, so I would recommend refitting them!
The bolts on mine were stripping immediately
No homo but i love you Officer Dan!
Thanks bbgurl
What are symptoms of a bad bushing could this cause a death wobble when they’re really bad
It's not a major cause, I'd suggest checking your inner and outer tie rods as well as your lower arm balljoints.
How different is it for s14 ?
Very different, the S14/S15 does not use a steering shaft bushing at all, it is already direct.
How much of a difference is the solid one vs the polyeurathane one?
Solid is preferable, polyurethane acts as an OEM replacement
@@gktech thanks, just ordered the solid one.
I got the solid one and I daily my car so hopefully it ain’t to bad and if it is F it
How was it? Can't make mind up lol
@@KhromeK fine bro it shakes a bit at higher speeds like 85 + but grip the wheel more and it’s fine
@@KhromeK what did you end up choosing?
@@kevboost Poly, definitely a massive improvement over my worn stock ones. Local guy recommended poly too
Does anyone have a discount xode so i can order my items ):

I prefer electric poles instead of walls 😂
