Wow Ken! I just this spring made a fountain much like yours. We have a lot of hummingbirds in our area and with a little research, found they like sprinkling water. I ran into a few of the same challenges you encountered. Mine sits on a porch rail. With the help of our cat and local wildlife, it was easy to knock off. I wound up making a saddle, attached to the planter and the rail. I used the second nozzle you demonstrated, and the little birds LOVE it!
These little DIY solar kits are inexpensive and seem to be pretty resilient to the outdoors.
Another great little project Ken! Thank you!

That's what the Tuesday show is all about Dave. Trying new things and bring things to the show that normally wouldn't be seen on a Friday episode. Thanks for turning in

Excellent, hadn't even thought about a solar powered pump ... very interesting 👍
When I designed my terraced garden, I included a rectangular section with a shallow pool of water at the top of the terraces, this then ran down into a stepped section which ran down to the top of the path and disappeared.
At the bottom of the stepped section I had underground pipes which would take that water and from my garage roof and run it down into a semi-circular pond below, with a pump to then pump water back up to the top again.
I've still to build the pond and extend the pipework into and fit the pump, and also have an overflow pipe running down in the main drain.

Nice fountain! I built a waterfall and river on three sides of my yard one time. They are nice to have but when they get as big as I made that one, they are hard To take care of, and lots of maintenance. But I like them.

Very nice build Kenny, i would love to have a little waterfall like that and just sit outside in the sun when we get any that is, the trouble is that my wife would be running to the toilet every five mins due to that trickling sound 🤣

Nice project, and I noticed your use of the word acrylic vs brand name plexiglas although it tried to creep in a few times

I remember your comment from a project ages ago and I've tried to make a conscious effort ever since to not use the branded name. I still slip up from time to time but old habits die hard. I do pay attention to the comments though and try to improve the show where needed. Thanks for your input to improve the show and for tuning in.
