- Hi everyone and welcome to my channel, today I'll share how to make a garden fountain. I continue making a Japanese garden and I've decided to make a bamboo water feature with a hypertufa vessel, it was fun and easy to make, hope you'll like it!
I used similar solar powered pump for making the fountain:
amzn.to/3QuxTr4
It doesn't charge and works only when sun is shining on the battery.
This one has a bigger battery so may be useful if you need to deliver water higher than me: amzn.to/3zICRuw
Here is the vessel you can use for bottom vessel (here they have a set of 2): amzn.to/3OsBT9X
It was a bit hard to find a bamboo pole online, here is the 4-pack of a suitable diameter: amzn.to/3OmqFDD
This is the link to the video where I made hypertufa vessels: • Making hypertufa plant...

Great feature, try to avoid gripping a work piece with one hand and using power tools with the other it’s asking for trouble.
Well stated. 😊
I think a lot of do-it-yourselfers have at it without the benefit of a shop class or safety instruction. "What can go wrong will go wrong"--words to live by! Some others--stop when you're tired. Remove all jewelry. Don't wear loose clothing and tie back hair. My old friend got her hair in the drill and it wasn't pretty!
And you should always grind "downwards" , the disc shall cut itself down, the "back-kick" you got cutting the Rebar where when you did the opposite, pulled the disc upwards to the material.... I have the scars to prove things can go wrong 🤕
Yay! Finally! A woman who uses power tools, makes awesome things, AND- doesnt talk about nothing on and on forever! I love how you explain what youre doing during the project without a bunch of unneccessary blah blah! Makes your videos very pleasant to watch! Thank you!
While I agree with you on seeing a woman use power tools, unfortunately, the way she used them was extremely dangerous.
@@lcsw1377 which tool did you refer to?
Here u are blabbing 😂

I've seen quite a few DIY fountain ideas here on RUclips. Tbh, they're pretty much all ugly or way too expensive and require way too much skill/labor. But this one I like.
It was really nice of him to cut the chicken wire for you. I've dealt with the stuff before, and the tiny pieces of wire can very easily fly up and stick you. I've never worked with it and not gotten cut at least once.
Great job, I would like to recommend that in the future you use eye protection anytime you are using a power saw. Please always remember safety first! Thanks for sharing.
Glad you didn’t have any injuries to your eyes since you weren’t wearing eye protection “all the time”. I’ve had two strikes against me and don’t want strike 3! Thanks for sharing your project with us.
Drilling: Please never hold anything that you are drilling. The drill bit can skip and cut your hand. I had to go to the emergency room this summer and get three stitches in my palm because I did that. I wish I could attach a picture. The hole the drill bit made in my palm looked like spaghetti twirled. I didn’t want to stop to go get something to clamp what I was drilling. I will from now on!
Your projects are amazing, and I love this little fountain. Will probably make one myself after a few other projects are completed.
Best wishes to you and your husband.
Sounds pretty scary.. Hope you're fine!
This is great advice. I had something similar happen and ended up in A&E. That scene in this video made me wince! Otherwise, great video and I can't wait to try something similar.
You are a genius! This is so inspiring. I love how your husband is so supportive of you.
THANK YOU!! That was a fantastic watch and well done you with the power tools 😮 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you! your fountain is lovely. I really enjoyed hearing the Japanese music while your little fountain was working,,,very zen like. Thanks for the inspiration.
Love your work. Thank you and God Bless.
Gary, the unsung hero.
So relaxing and not too hard to manage putting together. Thank you 😊
WONDERFUL JOB IRENE. MY FIRST TIME ON YOUR CHANNEL. I'LL BE BACK
Really nice. I love the sound of moving water. Great work!
I really enjoyed your video! I can’t wait to try it myself! I will also be making japanese lanterns with my own molds and concrete. Much appreciation sister!
Wow! Absolutely beautiful! I love your style of showing how you created this. Your video has such good flow, easy to follow and your project turned out so gorgeous! Well done and thank you! 😊
I am starting to think that one learns more from reading the comments than watching the actual video. I learned a lot from all the viewers. Will defnitely pay more attention to comments on videos
Trimakasih sdh inspirasi buat kami. SALAM by Banyuwangi java Indonesia slalu suport 😊
So beautiful love from India 🎉
Nice job.nJust a pointer for the next time. The first cloth was the one to use. But rather than putting on top of the bucket it should be placed in the hole and brought up the sides and extended over the edges. Then the vessel put into the hole. The extended edges get covered up with rock to disguise. This way the dirt at the sides and surrounding can't enter the bottom vessel. You can also position cobbles around the lower vessel to stabilize it in the hole.
Good job!
Your fountain is fabulous and something that anyone can build themselves. I have one suggestion, which is to create a trap door in your poultry wire by cutting a hole and placing a larger piece of poultry wire on top before you add your cobblestone. That way you can service your pump, clear out any debris or replace the pump if it quits. I do recommend pumps that turn themselves off if the water runs dry. I love your water feature and your great way of showing people how you built it, and the way that you custom cut the bamboo. Nicely done!
Thanks a lot, I think it's a great idea!
Great tips!
Excellent contribution - maintenance is key and any design decisions must include accessibility for maintenance. I was wondering about that as well. I saved your comment along with this video. She absolutely did an amazing job in her presentation and love this!
Wow!!! 😍 Super creative and genius!
Your life and your garden both are beautiful like heaven
I love your fountain, I agree with a lady on here saying you should have made a trap door to service the pump and clear debris, love the location you choose as well. AWESOME job.
Супер super idea!!!
Watching you from the Philippines🇵🇭 your so amazing,. I love the DIY fountain. Keep it up God bless
Your garden is lovely with or without the fountain but the fountain is definitely a wonderful addition.

Oh Irene! Your fountain is truly inspiring.
This is awesome. I am going to make one myself. Thanks for sharing this with us.
It's perfect, and really looks super easy to make. Thank you so much for this diy. ❤️
Your video is perfectly made and explained. Bravo! Exactly what I am looking for. I have already watched it several times. I found a natural stone with a large hole which will serve as my basin. I am in the process of constructing a large japanese garden of about 800m2. I have several smaller ones, for which I can share photos.
More of these videos, please!!!
It's really wonderful 👍😊

Nice. Good job❤❤❤❤❤
Brilliant and very inspiring ,thankyou

It looks beautiful Irene and Gary!
How lovely & serene! And the sound was gentle. Some fountains can be too noisy or too complicated! There's a lot to be said for simplicity! Thank you for sharing!
🙋♀️❤ You are so clever! That fountain would cost a fortune in a garden store!
Awesomeness

Irina you are the most creative woman I ever metí don’t know what part of Russia you live but the vegetation is amazing! Your garden is gorgeous!😍
Thanks a lot!! It's near Moscow)
Amazing tutorial - Thank you! It's exactly what I was looking to do myself, rustic and natural, tucked away, also having to deal with proper sun exposure for the pump's battery pack. Simple and yet very impressive. Thank you and greetings from Southern California! 8/28/2023

Thank you so much Irene! This is what I love to have in my yard!!!!!! You help to inspire to make my dream come true!
That looks wonderful! Great job!😊
Very nicely done! Great design & looks so good in your garden. Tomorrow I will be utilizing your process to make a water feature in one of my gardens. I'm beyond excited! I did notice in your garden the fabulous hostas!!! I collect dwarf & mini hostas ~ I was delighted to see your's. Thank you for the effort you put into this tutorial! Cheers!
Looks really nice, now I want one in my garden also. I like how your previous projects link with this one to show your garden evolving.
Thanks!!
You are very talented and give great instruction. ❤
very beautiful and peaceful to watch.
Amazing. Learned a lot
