- We’ve been super busy… we stayed home this past weekend, and managed to get ALOT done on the new shop! Vicki and I went to the LIGHT THE NIGHT Car Show & Cruise In, and I let HER drive my Malibu!
Sunday was my 50th birthday, and we spent the day putting Billy’s S-10 back together, and cruising the 55 Chevy.

Mom's there with youns Bill. She never left yalls side. Only now she's able to be next to everyone of you at the same time. Vicki smiling in the Malibu was cool. The ride in the 55 down to the dock was heartwarming. I used to drive up to my dads cemetery but I don't feel him there either. I feel him the most when I drive down to this old barn down the road where we used to house tobacco. Soon as I pull inside it feels like he's rt beside me. Sometimes we just need to feel that. If there’s one thing I’m sure of is this! There is a mother from above whom is very proud of her creation! Her Son! Her Hero! She is always there with you Bill talk to her! Love her! Share with her! She is there! We miss her in form but spirit lives on and she hears and sees everything! Embrace it my friend! She is leaving you signs you just have to open up about them and accept them as those little hints of your mother being there with you through it all! Love you man! Happy birthday my friend!

Re; taking the '55 out for a cruize remembering Mom,, those of we elders who miss Mom & Dad can for certain appreciate what you're going thru. The memories NEVER leave bud,, but dealing with the grief,, it does get easier. The "Light of my Life",, my Grandma once told me as our life goes along there will be thousands of "little movies" created in our minds that mean something to each of us. Those little movies,, we hang onto them and remember the people who were important to us. Play those "little movies" with your Mom in them often,, she's with you forever. 🙂

This October will be 10 years since I lost my mother. It hasn't gotten any easier. This episode really got to me. I'm sorry about your loss of your mom.

I know exactly where you are brother and I wish I could tell you that it gets better but it doesn't. I lost my mom back in 2018 from cancer and COVID complications. I miss her every day. Dang you are crotchety at 50, in your old age Ol' Man (just jokin' with ya Bill, glad you got outta your funk I have not sufferred with since my 30th B.D., but looking back at my life now, that 1st 1 without my Mom, was no fun either, but, they get better with time once on the downhill stroke)....You go Mrs. Vickie, lay the details on us! LMAO. As you get more done on the new building, it will get better as you see things coming together and it all starts to come together under a single roof.
Still a lot of work ahead just to conglomerate everything once it is ready to work out of, hopefully before the first snows arrive. Give that new (soon), concrete plenty of cure time though brother! (If not, then get some plywood sheets laid out over the surface just under the Cars to at least spread out the load, you can still wet the sheets, the water will penetrate through to the concrete). And since you have floor heat you can keep it from freezing and help it cure stronger, but slowly. Not hot, but just not frozen in cold Winter temps.
Enjoy these days, you have a ton going on, almost all of it great stuff brother, if you take the time to just sit back every couple of days, breathe deep, look around, and savor all the good things. The shop, the 2 Nova's, the Falcon, the 2 S-10's, Tommy's S-10, and Square Body, the BU, the 55, the Cobra Kai, trucks, trailers, new shop halfway finished, family health, (we keep hearing first grand child on the way), the Shop truck, and a few other vehicles I missed, farm/grading equipment, and a bunch of great and knowledgeable hard working employees!
Not to mention a great and growing loyal youtube fan base! You are flat living the dream man...and doing it with family (a growing family). Smile and laugh more, grump less, as everyone should be you right now, & the world would be a better place!

My Mom passed April 22' and I know exactly how you feel Bill. My Mom bought land behind me to put her own place behind us. She wasn't able to stay by herself and lived with us. She wanted our son to have it and he put his house on it and just visiting the place I feel closer to her. I know we will see our Moms again but I know how you feel. Billy has turned into quite the fabricator and tuner. The video at Uncle Bob's very funny. My Dad bought my Mom a 66' Biscayne 2dr. hardtop the same color has his impala. Her's did have a 327 automatic transmission with manual brakes and steering. My Dad, myself and my brother hardly ever missed a car show. Dad really enjoyed the antique cars, especially the 20's, thirties and pre-wars. The car shows here in the southeast can't compare to the ones we went to in North East Ohio. The new shop is coming right along. That little blue S-10 is going to be really hard to let go. So very clean and right in your family's wheelhouse. Go fast and be safe. You couldn't have said it any better pops wen you lose someone you love the grief dose come and go unexpectedly its been 5 years since my grandma passed and it still feels like yesterday I was sitting right next to her and still some days it really hits me hard 😢 but happy birthday pops i hope you had a wonderful day and got to spend it with alll your loved ones you know she was there with you and will always be watching over you ❤❤❤
