Curly really gets it in the first half with that sweater. And the second half is nerve racking yet hilarious
The Stooges are the best I’ve been watching them since I was old enough to kinda understand words I’m 54 now getting closer to 55. My dad watched them to.
I am 52 years old and my dad got me watching them when I was very young I used to get up 2 hours before school started in the morning just so I could watch them. Even some of the generations now like them my grandkids love them as well. They're simply One of a kind the best comedians that ever lived it's only unfortunate that shemp never got a chance to shine. By the time he got in Columbia was going through budget cuts so they had to use a lot of restock and therefore his shorts are not considered as good although some of them were really really funny. Moe always said despite popular opinion shrimp was the comedian in the family more than curly.
They remind me of my roommates..... Neil...and twos company
"Hey, chucklehead. Did ya get the tools?"
"What tools?"
"The tolls we've been usin' for the last 10 years."
"Oh, those tools."
(Moe to himself, disgustedly)“Yeah, those tools”
Classic line!
It's an all time favorite! Every time I grill hot dogs I say " A hot one!"
That's the classic Larry, cooking sausages instead of heating rivets.:)
I'll never forget the smiles and laughter this episode did when I shared it with my 4th grade class in 1988 i Ohio it was Friday and my class understood the jokes and humor 3 Stooges were comic masters.
Too too funny 😂 they barely hang onto Curley and yet remain safe😂 Stooge physics is amazing 👏
The Masters of Mayhem at their Best. No Comedy Team can touch Them 😜😜😜🤠 PERIOD.
👍❤️🤩👍❤️🤩🤣👍❤️🤩🤣👍❤️🤩🤣💯 0:23
Great!
Yes you are so right! Pure legends! And incredible talent!
You are too easily pleased.
Dream on. Laurel and Hardy were so much better that the Stooges had to copy some of their act.
Thanks ❤love the 3 stooges for over 40 years. Still watch them till this day ❤️especially bedtime 😊
👍👍👍🤣🤣🤣🤣🤩🤩🤩🤩 3:31
@@annamariayannetta242 😊😊
I'm 52 and my dad got me addicted to them and I started waking up about 2 hours before time to go to school just so I could watch the two episodes of the goats. I'm including shemp in that because Moe always said the shemo was the comedian in the family. When he works solo without the rest of the stooges he was one of the highest paid in a Hollywood and he was known as the ugliest man in Hollywood. He really unfortunately did not want to join the stooges but he agreed to fill in until Carly come back unfortunately Carly never came back as he never got well. The last 6 years of his life he was sick having multiple strokes.
Been a lifetime fan and at age of 88, still am. They were never copied or matched. Regards. EDngland, March, 202
The best of all time they will never be touched.
"Well, looks like good solid construction"
(Leans on beam and it falls over)
"Solid construction eh?! Where are those three new men?!"
(Shows beams laid haphazardly).
That was said by Vernon Dent.
I was feeling a little low today!! But alas!!! My STOOGES perked me right up!!! Thanks MOE, LARRY and CURLY!!!!
Was is that a new car? No it's an old sock..**SLAP** stooges killing it
No bad language
No innuendos
Nothing offensive
Now this was comedy at its very best 👌 👍 😍 🥰
Plenty of innuendo and hidden swearing. Amsterdam Rotterdam Givadam, Panther Pilsner Beer, the scene where Curly is popping gum and giving the finger.
You are loved and appreciated by thousands around the world old is solid pure gold cried and cried nearly died of laughter couldn't breathe and stop laughing appreciate a good laugh and the memories you may be gone but not forgotten still going strong keep the laughs coming you knuckleheads love you guys thanks !!! Joe
True comedy at its very best the howards and fine family would be proud and laughing no one close to the 3 stooges your legacy of laughter and slapstick still continues on you may be gone but not forgotten still going strong keep the laughs coming god bless you guys thanks you guys rock way to go couldn't breathe and stop laughing thanks for a good laugh and the memories !!! Joe ❤❤❤😅😅😊😊😊
I just love Moe Larry curly and we cannot forget shemp the real comedian of the family according to Moe. It's not his fault that he came in during budget cuts and had a lot of restock and wasn't really able to shine as he did as a loner. He was a lone actor in Hollywood and a great one at that. These are the goats. They will never be outdone by anyone. I got up 2 hours early every morning as a child just to watch them which would instantly make my day better and that I'm 52 years old.
"Was your mother frightened by something?"
"Yeah, me,"

I don't get the joke!
This episode was rather riveting.
Yes indeed.
It was even mediocre nuk nuk nuk 😅
@@ghostbusterguy20011 *Bonk*
They look like my roommates!!! Jijiji
The sweater scene (4:16) is one of the funniest scenes the Stooges ever did! Especially when Larry breaks up (6:03)! 🤣🤣🤣
“He looks like a v8”
“Have you heard of a v5?”
“What’s that? A new car?”
"No it's an old sock!" *SLAP!*
🤣🤣🤣
Classic
In the scene in which Curly is hit on the head with a rubber hammer when he is stuck in the sweater if you look closely, Larry cracks up and laughs at the last BONK! on Curly's head. When Curly says, "Don't mind ME! DON'T MIND ME!!" He stares up at Moe, which Moe starts to crack up as well, and hides his face from the camera. Then the scene is cut to a close-up.
A sequence with Chuck Hamilton and Lucille Lund as a husband and wife was cut before general release.
Moe: Hey, chucklehead! Did you get the tools?
Larry: What tools?
Moe: The tools we've been using over the last 10 years.
Larry: Oh, those tools! Yeah, I got 'em.
Moe: Yeah, those tools.
6:03 Larry breaks for the rest of that shot, you can even hear the giggling! Lol
Three minutes to get Curly's sweater off. That's funny!
“Why didn’t you tell them you were a groundhog?”
“Listen! You laugh when you say that!”
Moe’s sarcastic laugh gets me every time. 😂😂😂
0:30 My my favorite three soldiers is curly. I love him every time he's on and he makes me laugh so hard I cannot stop laughing watching him❤❤❤❤❤🎉😊
"I lost my buckeroo!" 😂
Moe: gimme a hand
Larry: which one?
Moe: want me to have trouble with you? help me skin him 😂😂😂
I believe that Curly is thee best Comedian that ever lived.. As trio their also thee BEST! I LOVE THEM FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! If you only knew how many days they brightened up for me when I was so depressed....❤❤❤ Don't forget Shemp and Besser...
Bucker up!
One of my favorite stooge shorts from the Curly era, I even like the bit where curly does his hand wave thing when he said he felt like a rivet
V5? Is that new car?
Nah it's an old sock...
*SMACK!*
Old is gold true comedy at its very best the howards and fine family would be proud and laughing no one close to the 3 stooges your legacy of laughter and slapstick still continues on you may be gone but not forgotten still going strong keep the laughs coming appreciate a good laugh and the memories much love and respect and appreciation you knuckleheads keep the laughs couldn't breathe and stop laughing thanks !!!: Joe
10:56 “Hey, fellas! How far is this first step?”
Only 97 stories.
97 stories!?
04:33 Moe: Give me a hand.
Larry: Which one?
Moe: Am I gonna have trouble with you? Help me skin him

At 62 years old, has always been my very best Curly short.....of course all work begins on the 97th floor!!!!
Curley "Comic Genius"🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Three of the funniest...the laughs keep coming
That bee going in and out of Curly's mouth is hilarious.
I wouldn't work that job for $15.00 an hour! I'm a ground hog ❤ You and me Curly!
I think this is one their best episodes.
Lmao one of my favorite episodes
A bucket of grease on the walkway on the 97th floor only on the stooges
I always liked that buzzing sound whenever a flying insect was around...😆
It always sound like a violin.
Jerome probably loved having that dog on set.😊😊
I'm gonna make sure the horn works. 😆
LOL "help me skin him!" -- Moe Howard
I'm thinking up is pretty high! I went to high school high! Nyuk nyuk nyuk nyuk
One of their very best shorts!
The title of this episode reminded me of a scene from one of the Pink Panther movies
“Do you hate him?”
“Yes I hate him alright”
“How much do you hate him?”
“How much? How high is up?!”
15:26-15:34 this scene lives rent free in my mind. I love this scene.
Still hoping to see Microphonies ❤ plus the NIAGRA FALLS one
Their construction was better than anything I could do.
Going Up
Curley: I can't stand heights
Moe: Was your mother frightened by something?
Curley: Yeah, by me!
ILL have to check there cards next time!!!! NYUK! NYUK!!!!
Look at the part of the building they made.. lol
You know they will find a way to screw it up. Some interesting trivia: the aerial shots were taken from the newly completed Empire State building
"Was your mother frightened by something? Yeah, me!!!"😂😁👍
I think he means us curly says I'm sure he does. LMAO.
NEVER put the Stooges in charge of your construction project...that is, unless you're ready for laughs!
One of my favorite episodes 😂
9:20
Moe: "Was your mother frightened by somethin'?!"
Curly: "Yeah, by me."
I love it when Curly aays, Don't mind me. Don't mind me
I recognize the skyline of my hometown anywhere! This was shot in New York City!
15:25 Mr Blake does the dance when a rivet went down his shirt.
Moe: "Hey, what are you eating?"
Curly: "A weenie but it's kinda tough. How's yours?"
Moe: "Mine's alright."
(Moe lifts the bun to show Curly what's he eating and Curly was shocked.)
Moe: "That's a rivet!"
(Moe throws a rivet at Curly.)
Curly: 💥 "OW!!!"
Foreman: Hey it isn’t lunch time! Get back to work!
Yes riviting,3 of the best reviters that ever riveted.
9:35
Curley invents BASE jumping.

I'm surprised to see dramatic actor Bruce Bennett in this. I know this is before he was more famous. He lived to be 100.
As a kid.....I'm 58.....they used to edit out the violence because kids were hitting themselves w hammers. Smart children.

Back when police enforced the law! The Three Stooges would be against defunding the police!❤
Good, solid construction? Poor man almost killed himself leaning on a loose girder.
What Now Little Man
The foreman paid 1 dollar an hour in 1940... that's about $22 in today's money.
Was part of this filmed in New York? The last part of the short, where they land in the car, that looks like an elevated transit track. Like the one in New York. Think they filmed that part in New York?
There were and are elaborate sets for New York streets in several Hollywood studios. So, maybe not.
P.S Were they UNION IRONWORKERS?????
On break
