This fondant was pre-colored by the manufacturer. We did not add any food coloring to the product. We do carry a Burgundy food color in the Alan Tetreault Select gel color line.

This was Satin Ice Burgundy fondant but you must steam it at the end to get that nice rich color.

Could these be made before hand? A day or two ahead of time?
Technically they could. My concern is that if they dry out even a little, they will crease or break as you try to fit them in on the side of the cake. The fresh fondant ruffles make it much easier to apply them.
Instead of fondant can I use your magic chocolate?
Absolutely! That would be yummy!
The petals are pretty but I am not one to love fondant!!! But never the less to each his own!!
This could be done using Magic Chocolate as well.
