I don't think you'd be so impressed if you looked at who she is siding with on the 'opioid epidemic' that is been used as a stigmatizing narrative to discriminate, violate the human rights of and KILL Pain patients across the United States. I really don't know a lot about pageants, but I've spent most of my professional life as a zoo educator, where a bulk of my work was taking a concept and breaking it down to make it simple AND entertaining in a quick dose for an audience who might have absolutely zero pre-existing knowledge of the subject matter. To take that kind of demonstration and apply it to a 90-second presentation is so commendable, and I'm sure none of her competitors had an act that stood out this much. Anyone who doesn't understand the place and purpose of this type of presentation is, IMO, being willfully ignorant in a way that anyone who loves science should honestly feel ashamed for.
