This is what all young kids visualize when someone says "science"
3:57 is where it actually happens

HOW IS THIS CHANNEL NOT HUGE I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT COUNTRY THEY'RE IN
Hi Admiral Percy,
Thanks! We are located in Toledo, Ohio, US.
Feel free to share our channel with your friends!

ImaginationStationOH OMG HE KNOWS I EXIST *swoon*.
.
.
What country is Toledo?
United States
It definitely sounds like a variety of cheese
I live in toledo.....
This is what I am doing for my science fair project
Great idea! If you are you should make a plan on how to vlean it up
yoit same
Me too
Good luck cleaning that up
Lost brother potato josh? Is that you?
I love elephants toothpaste, and the food colouring makes is so much cooler.
3:57 Me on 1st December
Yo is just said the same thing😂😂😂
Is the same colour? If so you should see a doctor
@@SaltyDude lol
@@tylercuthbertson7657 this isn’t a laughing matter, B G could be in serious danger
@@SaltyDude 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
oh man I would love to work there, so fun and engaging for the kids. And newscaster Tony seems pretty down to earth!
This was exactly 4 years ago today
“It is. Its like GhostBusters 2”😂😂😂😂
3:59 af satisfying
I very much enjoyed this experiment. Thank you. Also, do you recommend sodium iodide or potassium iodide?
4:31 he called the woman a sir
Her name is Sarah....
2:36 he called her by her name, Sarah
Lol I don’t know if he was talking to the scientist or the woman but it looked like he was pointing at her (Sarah) when he said sir
Dylan Carter he said sarah
*triggered noise plays*
Cleaning up be like 💀if there’s a drought
Agreed...
The rainbow blast looked like many fruit flavored jets
shutup and take my money
Nate thanks
i'd love to go there someday! as of right now i live in florida, but i can still enjoy the youtube channel though!
3:57 When its been a while
What kind of soap do you use? Thank you, lots of love, Serena from Austria
4:17 Shameless plug
What do you need to create this mix?
Hello
If we used pottassium iodide as a catalyst, what would be the concentration of it ?
Very interested.
What are the another suitable catalyst?
Who had to watch this 4 Science in quarantine
Me 😩
Me 😓 it looks fun tho 😃
Me
Me I also had to write questions
3:57 I WANNA DO THIS AT OUR SCIENCE FAIR THIS SCHOOL YEAR! THANKS FOR GIVING ME AND IDEAAA
Where can I purchase the ingredients to make this?
Jamia and Tiffany:three, two, one, boom!
How long does it take to cool off if even
How do you clean it?
“What the heck is Toledo”
- Someone in a movie probably
where did you buy the catalyst from? and is there any other materials to use other than catalyst and detergent and hydrogen peroxide? for the hydrogen peroxide is it fine 6%?
I'm not sure, but at least in Sweden(ik maybe not the country you want to hear from in this matter) you need a licence for a catalyst that strong. Highly concentrated hydrogen peroxide can probably be bought from some sketchy website.
Where do i get the stuff to do this
Hey Aunt Sarah!! I loved science camp. And you!!! And my name is Sarah Gulch too!!!! Go Sarah G Club!!!!
how do we clean it??
What is the catalyst?
So cool! We just did this as a 3am challenge and had a blast!
What happens when u light. The elephant pasta will it burn or no?
Wow amazing I love chemistry🤗
What are the ingredients to it in exact measurements
if i use 3% hydrogen peroxide would it still work?
Question is, what happens when you toss a lit matchbook into that mass of O2 bubbles?
Hi Thoralmir, actually, not very much happens. While the bubbles are filled with oxygen gas placing a burning match, or even a burning matchbook into the foam causes only a momentary increase in the size of the flame. --Carl Nelson, Chief Scientist, Imagination Station
Who’s just watching this when it’s like from 6yrs ago
What is the concentration of the sodium iodide?
Hi Daniel,
We used a 4 Molar solution for this demonstration.
-- Carl Nelson, Chief Scientist, Imagination Station
What are the quantities for this reaction? How much potassium iodide is used? How much water to powder/crystals?, How many mls of hydrogen peroxide and dish soap?
I want to try this In a small scale. Is it poisonous to animals or children even if you wash the foam away ?
3:54 rainbow
No
Can I use 40 volume?
is that stuff dangerous? i mean like toxic or something?
can it burn skin once it is catalized?. Can it splatter & bleach clothes? How do you clean it up?
What happens if you put elephant toothpaste in a vacuum chamber?
i wanted to do this for a science class but I cannot seem to find 35% H2O2 anywhere .The best i can find is 30% and its in such a small quantity that it would be extremely counter-productive to perform the experiment. Any idea where I can purchase 35% H2O2? NaI I was able to find from my chemical supplier. Thanks
How do you clean that
probably hosed it off, or just waited for the rain
"It's like Ghostbusters 2"
Which catalyst is added 😑
What would happen if you held a flame to elephant's toothpaste. Would it all vanish in one sudden burst of fire?
Hi David, that would be impressive if it were possible. The bubbles are filled with oxygen, but there is no fuel to combust. If you insert a burning object it will initially combust more rapidly from the extra oxygen. But, the bubbles burst pretty rapidly and then there is not a lot of extra oxygen around.
-Carl
@@ImaginationStationOH Thanks!
Where do I get sodium iodide
So if the bubbles are made with Oxygen then are they flammable?
You'd need something for oxygen to react with.
+Theo0x89 time to spit that steam into hydrogen and oxygen then XD
yes very much so
No its oxygen gas, meaning that it is O2, just like our atmosphere, so it wouldn't be very reactive
high concentrations of oxygen can combust if you have fire around. it's pretty explosive. like that's a risk of astronauts in space stations because the air we breathe is only what 20 somethign percent oxygen. on space stations (american ones manly it think) its like 80% lol
Notice how he said sir 4:30
The yellow one looks like a scoop of ice cream.
What volume of H2O2 was used?
Hi Courtney,
We used a 30-35% concentration of hydrogen peroxide for this demonstration.
--Carl Nelson, Chief Scientist, Imagination Station
Chris Kelly Would potassium iodide work as well? And where can we find 35% h2o2? Doing the demonstration for VBS but I’m having trouble find this concentration.
3:57 how I came out
this is an underrated comment
Where can you buy flasks
The black market
Anyone can tell me where I can get catalyst from?
Try dry yeast with warm water.
So... you gonna brush an Elephants teeth with that or what?
Would it work with a 3% H2O2 ?
Not very well, it will just dribble out of the container. 12% will bubble out like at the end. They are probably using 35% or higher, this isn't really safe for home use.
@@rjbarbour Thanks!
Where is the elephant toothpaste?
Sooo. if you don't mind me asking... what sort of "Catalyst" did you guys use for the reaction? We all know yeast wouldn't decompromise the peroxide that fast. lol
ihatestupidpeople264 sodium iodide or potassium iodide.
ooooh ok so just a simple iodide tincure would work for this demonstration then?
ihatestupidpeople264 I think yes
Because you only need the iodide from the potassium iodide, or sodium iodide.
Oh ok thanks! :D
He clearly said sodium iodide. I however would’ve used potassium iodide.
I love this!😍
Where can I get a lab coat with flames on?
The Ste doofinshmerts

omg i love rainbow toothpaste
So awesome!
We can't touch it??????
Back before rainbow was ruined
How to clean 🤔

I hope the food colouring isn't harmful to the environment
NO.
excuse me ImaginationStation what is a catalyst?
A catalyst is a substance that increases the rate of a chemical reaction without itself undergoing any permanent chemical change.
Carl, Chief Scientist, Imagination Station
thanks :)
Where is toeldo?
oh and can't forget Carl

For those of those that don't 'science' what is a catalyst? Just saying the word "catalyst" means nothing to me.
The most simple explanation is that it triggers it
