      That said looks brainy. i subscribed because he looks rational. but i need to listen more before i judge his biases and agenda. India need its own deep state. That is my goal. India cant survive with OPEN RAID setup. Country is divided in so many pieces. India need its own shadow state which stay beyond election and it need to be secret.
      Also one thing i find is terrible is central govt dismissing local govt on corruption etc. Unless the guy committed genocide or murdered ..central govt should stay off. BJP behaves same like congress before
      India need more enlightened people. This is about business and jobs. More factory opens more roads can be built. India lacks investment.
      Chinese gets so much investment and whole country benefitted. India need to improve their construction business. I also think indian cement industry should buy off foreign cement industries with mines.

    Great conversation ..... Abhijit nailed it. Indias current positioning in world geopolitics

  • @LearTrough
    @LearTrough 3 месяца назад +28

    India does have the idea of not trying or aiming to become a hegemon or a great power or something like that. It could pose as a leader of some bloc of nation but mostly has never postured itself in some self-procalimed role of leading the world or anything. It does mostly keep to itself, unless something tough arrives. But due to its population size, good demographics, favourable geopolitical position, etc. and the way with which it has been growing, if standard or favourable global conditions hold in the future, the country will automatically become very powerful even if it does not want to become so. It will be interesting to see what decisions it takes after achieving that position but to take a neutral stance despite wielding great power is something I find very fine and mature and unique too because most other nations or empires till date have had quite the opposite disposition.

    • @LearTrough
      @LearTrough 3 месяца назад

      @@SodiumSyndicate Modern India, I feel, is not only a mix of the original Indo-Aryan and Indus people belonging to the Indic or Dharmic religions but even as the Parsi and Jewish immigrants arrived to the subcontinent fleeing persecution in the Middle East and the later Muslim invaders and the British colonizers, the subcontinent is essentially a land of immigrants and megadiverse and multicultural. This is a very unique feature as most countries are not like this. Even today, it is the 10th or 12th largest destination for immigrants, mainly from its neighbouring countries, Africa and also from the West recently as I am learning. This brings both a unique set of opportunities and challenges as India needs to create a framework to allow all communities to peacefully co-exist whilst also benifitting from their talents and contribution to the country.

    India's world view emanates from Sanatan philosophy that 'world is a family'. No aggressiveness towards living things/beings as they have aatma(conscience) which is part of Paramatma(Super Conscience - i.e GOD). Unfortunately, its does not gel well with abrahamic thought processes. Example Israel/Palestine wars .... NATO/Russia war in Ukraine war.

    Also, India under Modi governance is trying to get permanent seat at UN and being a net security provider in and around Asia Pacific/Indo Pacific.
    Also, the GDP per capita is still low. And talented Indians leave India and settle in USA. Research and development is still lacking in India. And reservations are leading to Indians migrating to other countries for career opportunities.

    India needs to know itself again. During the Indian Prince "Buddha" India was a non-violent empire. The Indian Prince Buddha colonized the Orient, created the Indo Pacific, hence the Indian Ocean. Asia is Egypt, Turks, Arabs, Israel, Persia, India. It is India that is related to all. Asia was a separate civilization, which at the beginning had nothing to do with the Europeans, Africans, Orientals. All the teachers of all the faiths are from Asia because it was Asia's spiritual history, Asia's narrative. Asia went corrupt "Babel" and was separated. Eventually "Babel" will be put back together.

Many centuries ago---people came from other countries to study at our universities---because we were leaders in various fields, even now--as you said --India is the global South leader. Although there are certain disputes between China and India on the boundary question, the two sides should resolve their differences through peaceful negotiations and consultations.

    Therefore, keeping calm and exercising restraint is an important principle in handling bilateral relations.

    This guy is all talk, too biased and ignorant. If china attacks Taiwan or blockade taiwan, India is going to give them everything they want other than weapons and India is in some anti China bloc with USA?
    Hahaha. India has never done anything to goo against China or supported western lies or allegations like at the UN.
    This Indian guy over rates not just indias capability, but Indian will itself. Or rather the lack of any will.
    India too weak to stand up and go against USA and west, and also too scared to go against China in a real forceful way and display of strength and show it's 100% independent and autonomous. India always has excuses and plays victim and tries to play all sides against each other, since it's not strong enough to do anything else and stand up by itself to do everything it wants. And even if it wants to, it does not have the ability.
    Like India "sanctioning" or punishing China by banning a few useless apps. India still needs China more than China needs India. India needs China to be strong and to be Indias shield and leverage so India can do deals with USA and West etc.
    If china was not strong, India could never even do things like keep supporting Russia and buying oil and making polite snarky comments about EU being hypocrites etc over Russia but India can never talk like that to USA.

As you said correctly we both have nuclear weapons so what is the point of arguing or having any animosity? Just trade, that is all.

    • @JohnDorian-j7x
      @JohnDorian-j7x 2 месяца назад +1

      Its because of standards. They were designed on different standards. And since they're very complex systems, any sort of "adaptor" to make them properly and effectively operate with one another will run into the almost exponentially increased risk of errors or "bugs" between the systems scaled to the complexity of the systems (which gets even worse depending on the environment/regime they're operating in). It can be done but it'll just be very difficult, time consuming, and costly, and, more importantly, dangerous.
