I actually wonder whether there was development pressure at this time (because of upcoming Endwalker release), meaning plans for a phase 2 that might have shown Zenos influences got scrapped.

Nero: should've let me hold it 😏
I literally just did this fight and god was it fun.
It is, it is arguably my least favorite of the trials (not counting Sapphire) but it was very fun as a whole. Well okay maybe I like it a bit more than Ruby because I didn't like Ruby's second form.
Ive never been savage before.
Then my first savage was Eden 9 S.
Then they told me - okay today we do a different one, dw its not that hard.
Then i stood before Diamond Weapon Extreme.... :D
Without a warning, without prep bcse no one told me we would go.
Ive learned a lot pain this day XD
It's nice to get an orchestral track for once
I like that Soken at least switches it up quite a bit. Meanwhile, you've got the other big MMO that only ever does ambient orchestral music for everything...
@@BunnychanFarabee There's something for everyone in FFXIV's soundtrack. Do you like orchestral tracks? There's plenty of those. Do you like tracks that totally rock out? There's plenty of those too.
@@MrSpacebar13 Do you like electronic dance bangers? Jazz? Pa-paya, pa pa payaya paya?
So fast.... It hasn't even been a day!
I love how the theme sounds more ancient than Ultima's did
does anyone know, if this theme exists for the orchestrion?
Yep EX drop I believe
Yes, it's from the EX, and it's called In the Arms of War.
@@crystalgoddess4085 thank you!
I feel like gundam Vs zaku
Edit: because G warrior connect with truster platform to fight Diamond weapons
More like gundam stardust memory
its going 3x faster than the other weapons!
i simultaneously love you and hate you for that reference.
@@Loispealz34 that reference being? I'm stupid n curious
@@shissona9572 original gundam main antagonist char aznable fought in a custom mech suit, famous for being "3 times faster" than the basic model.
@@Loispealz34 the best part being that he never actually did. His zaku2 was only about 30% better in specs with safety limiters turned off. It was all about his skill in piloting that made him seem that much faster.
@@Ephra_wangai i completely forgot that. Char the original chad.
I cant say I ever expected to fight Diamond weapon in the sky on top of a pilotable mini ultima weapon using Gundam GP-03's fuck off mobile armor thing.
Dendrobium vs. Neue Ziel
Proud Last Weapons Theme
Okay, now I have got to ask, when does the story suddenly turn into gundam? Like, I think I stopped partway through stormblood, and this looks pretty awesome.
It involves Garleans researching Allagan technology and building from it. If you played until Stormblood you remember the Ultima Weapon at the end of ARR and Azys La at the end of Heavensward which were pretty futuristic; those were Allagan as well.
@Raphael S After getting back into FFXIV after briefly thinking "Shadowlands can't be that ba- oh" I ended up beating this trials series jut a day before Endwalker hit. Instant favorite with me, and I'm now really looking forward to what Endwalker's trials end up being like :3
So far, I've beaten the EX of the 83 trial as well as Pandaemonium(Normal). Looking forward to trying the 89 EX and maybe even Savage in the coming weeks!
My god is the coolest thing ever see GEEZ ORE WA GUNDAM
Man I was hoping for FF7 music, overall though This is a fun fight
Man this song is guuuud
Big Fat Tacos, oh Big Fat Tacos, oh Big Fat Tacos... drama-tic!
So basically another version of Ultima, but now with hints of Infinity (Zurvan's theme) at the start for some reason?
Why is that a bad thing question mark
@@SirMonty_ it isn't. I just wonder why it seems like Infinity of all things is referenced. Also, I'm not entirely sure if that's what they are referencing here. Maybe it's another leitmotif?
@@vaimantobe3034 Its a combination of Ultima and the Azys Lla motif. Or Scale and Steel. especially since the opening cutscene is a direct reference to the Shinryu v Omega fight.
@@DarthXelion Remember that the Ultima Warrior, which we repurposed into the G Warrior, was found in Azys Lla, specifically in Fractural Continuum Hard. That's why the Azys Lla motif is here.
@@DarthXelion @Darth Xelion I can't really hear Azys Lla in here. Maybe it's the different tone and the busy background vocals.
The part i'm referring to starts at 0:27
It goes something like this:
Du du du du du duuu
Duuu du duuu duuu du duuu
(Repeat in roughly the same tone)
And the last part of Order Yet Undecided (also featured in Regula's theme and Scale and Steel) goes like this:
Duuuuuuu
du du duu
du du duuu du
du duuu
du du duu du duduuuuuuuu
(Repeats in different ways)
Sorry by the way, I'm not a music expert so i have no way to annotate this.
My point is that Ihave trouble hearing the Azys Lla leitmotif here.
Enjoyed the story and the fight in general, but...
Tracking mechanics...
I didn't enjoy it with 'Crush Weapon' on "The Thunder God," and I didn't enjoy it here with 'Diamond Shrapnel.' I reeeaaally suck at these things.
One thing that left me confused about this trial was the fact that to me it seemed to have little in common with Zenos, despite using his combat data. Anyone else feel the same way? It was much different than the Emerald Weapon, which clearly did have influences from Gaius (in phase 2 especially). Somewhat disappointing. I actually wonder whether there was development pressure at this time (because of upcoming Endwalker release), meaning plans for a phase 2 that might have shown Zenos influences got scrapped.
Valens thought about using Zenos' auracite combat data but he's too unpredictable and insane, making it useless for his goals. Instead he used Alfonse's mind as replacement.
@@ArCvnDnt that's lame. Literally bait and switch in emeralds ending cutscene.
Hopefully in ultimate we get diamond zenos
@@eW91dHViZSBpcyBjZW5zb3JzaGlw I always saw the armor shedding into a beast-like creature to be Zenos, as he’s a beast
And what were they gonna take from the Zenos fight? (At the time). His aoe? His adds? (Swords) All of his cool stuff was Shinryu (at the time)
How were those Astro macros set up?
Sounds pretty gangsta
This is the song in which i hear the most leifmotifs. Its just leifmotifs, and its PERFECT
THIS SONG HAS NO RIGHT TO SLAP THIS FUCKING BAD!!!
I cried so hard and couldn't tank properly during this fight after figuring out who piloting the diamon weapon.
BIG FAT TACOS
BIG FAT TACOS
THEY'RE BIGGGG
Song reminds me of Unbreakable Chains from KH BBS, love this theme
Big FAT Tacos is back !
I love this track, it sounds like it could've been in Xenogears.
Am I the only one who thinks this piece came out right out of Dai Gyakuten Saiban? Specially the part at 1:13
I had the same feeling ! I love this part
Song from the second half of the 5.5 trailer. It bumps I like it 😁
This song gives ace combat vibes and I love it
Finally managed to get the Gwiber at 230 runs with 14 gwiber drops
Mine was 345 :,) I kept track and collect totem when it first came out
This song while solo tanking since our other tank at the time quit on us was quite the experience I have to say
I mourn the healer having to babysit the dps for getting 2nd aggro
Lol those poor healers having to always on standby for the 2nd agro.
The end of this Side-Story hitts so hard
it does. i just wanna hug Allie
I would pay $30 just a diamond weapon mount

BIG FAT TACOS, A BIG FAT TACOS, A BIG FAT TACOS, SUPREME

Those Who Fight Further or J-E-N-O-V-A Quickening mashed up with Ultima (Primals Version) would be fitting for the Weapons battle for Final Fantasy 7 Remake part 3
BIG CHUNGUS TIME!!!
Bismark's back baby
With no vore this time
am i the only one who hears bits similar to "away" from ff16?
Actual title: Ultima Weapon Gachi Mix ♂
This song reminds me Food War
Why couldn't they have picked a color for the blue platform that doesn't look Grey!
I loved this trial questline though comparing the three I think this was the weakest. With for me Emerald Weapon being the best then Ruby second.
yeah, though have to admit this was the most unique
Nier raid music next please ! - final song is *chefs kiss*
