I love how Optimized Utima is just something you can shrug off in this fight. It really drives how strong the Warrior of Light has become since A Realm Reborn.
@@TonyBMan Ultima required the Ultima Weapon to stand still and charge it up for a decent amount of time, required a one off artefact that probably isn't easy to replicate, and had some pretty hefty downtime between uses. Even if Optimised Ultima isn't as powerful, making it faster, replicable, and easier to use is worth the trade-off in the long run.

Honestly that’s why everyone was afraid ff14 was going to be replaced by ff16 until it was announced that ff16 isn’t an mmo, ff14 is just hitting its stride and in terms of the quality of its content, player numbers and just amazing atmosphere I would say it’s on par with the greats of the MMO industry, if not the best MMO in existence rn

As horrifying as that would be, it would only (possibly) be the combat data up until we fought Aulus Mal Asina (whom they should've kept alive for this storyline, since he is literally XIV-Hojo.) which is quite powerful, but perhaps not enough to actually threaten us as a whole since it would only be as powerful as Zenos was in Ala Mhigo. A healthy speed bump, nothing more.
There should 3 more weapons to Debut We already got Ultima Ruby Guy with blue hair is gonna be Sapphire (as mentioned in cutscene) Guy with green frosted tips is gonna be Emerald the girl and the guy with white hair (probably gonna be dual pilot team) gonna be Diamond.

Also possible it could be part of the next normal raid expansion like someone mentioned but I think ff7 bosses/content wouldn't be tacked on as part of an expansion to a raid already somewhat established I believe the will make it frontline content for an expansion
Honestly, listening to this one again, and boy I sure do wish this is the version that had been made for Dissidia rather than the version we got. Dissidia NT's is pretty alright, but this still has the flair of the original Weapon theme while still having that specific aggressive tone that Dissidia's tracks has. Still, more cake is more cake, I'm glad to have more variations of the Weapon theme in general.

This might actually be my #1 favorite battle theme in the entire game. Endwalker's version is also great, but for me this song just incapsulates the hype and emotion I've felt since 2.0
Very late to the party, but the part where the Choir goes: "Darkness come, rend the shield of light. Destruction, Salvation, Ultima" literally makes me want to become part of a dangerous cult that worships destruction as a mean to an end and just wants to watch the world burn in glorious bliss. God, it's so powerful.

I’d say if you didn’t think last raid tier had very challenging fights, then come back for this patch. Both the trial and normal raids alone provide a good challenge for anyone that thought the game was two easy last patch.

Very late to the party, but the part where the Choir goes: "Darkness come, rend the shield of light. Destruction, Salvation, Ultima" literally makes me want to become part of a dangerous cult that worships destruction as a mean to an end and just wants to watch the world burn in glorious bliss.
