I'm going to give it another test refill and deliberately use it less to see if it holds fuel without being used, and to discount the possibility of me filling it inadequately the first time; I'm using a Newport gas adapter and it isn't a perfect seal. After a few tests I'll either get a service kit or send mine away for a complete overhaul. I used to work with wristwatches so I'm fairly confident about changing seals and taking care of delicate parts.

Your lighter still leaks gas, but the amount of gas leaking is not big, so you will not see it in 3 days.
