Nice. I use my adidas powerlifts as a hybrid shoe. I prefer the high density foam to the polyurethane... especially when going through an entire training session
Love the idea of having a hybrid leaning more towards the weightlifting side. Pricing also is very fair! So basically it comes down to heel slip (Romaleos 4) vs limited heel height (Savaleos) if you compare within the Nike line-up if I see it correctly... I currently still own metcon 4xds (don’t like the look of the newer metcons) and was contemplating on buying the romaleos, but I think I have found a better alternative here. How do they compare fitwise with metcons? Also small?
I would say the sizing is pretty similar to Metcons, probably closest to 5. I’ve had 4xds that fit pretty tight and some that fit perfect so that’s kind of a mixed bag for me. My call is that if you’re looking for a dedicated WL shoe, go with your normal Metcon size and if you wanted to train in them, half up.
Thanks for the guidance and quick reply! I ordered both sizes now and will update this post once I have decided in case it is of interest to anyone else.
Received both pairs yesterday and in comparison with the metcon 2 and 4xd I would def. go half a size up. The actual sams size does not fit at all in the toebox as it is very narrow. Solid shoe though! Lots of more stabilisation preventing pronation of the ankles.
The fact that the insoles aren't removable means that I can't replace them if I need to. I have flat feet, overpronation and having arch support is critical for me. What is the arch support like in these?
Any thoughts on the Anta lifting shoes? I'm looking for second pair of heels to go with my Romealo2 and they seem to look ok. I'm still hoping to find a size 13 Romealo2 in bright green to match my orange ones.
Hey man I was just curious. Are you still able to get your hands on Rom 2's these days? I started weightlifting recently and am trying my hardest to find a pair, size 42,5 (9US)
Are these a buy at 79 bucks at the outlet? For background I’m still using my do wins that I bought three years ago as a beginning power lifter but they’re heavy and I don’t like carrying them around in my CrossFit bag. Basically, just looking for something to wear at the box for squats and Olympic lifting days not gonna be doing wods or metcon s in them.
Just got those on my size and they fell tight on my toes even though i got narrow feet , should i try break them in or order half size up ? Im just using them for squat
I'm trying to order them, I can't seem to have them mailed to my house. Do I have to go to store's to order them ? How to get them online seems like a limited on orders
12mm heel height would not seem to make much sense. With the Metcons and the hyper lifts you are at 12mm with a fully functional shoe. Whats the point of this shoe if its only 12mm?
Is it 12mm total height or heel to toe drop? If it's drop, that's squarely between a Metcon (4mm drop) and Romaleos (20mm drop). That'd definitely be a hybrid.
So looking forward to the full review. If it’s a good then I’ll pick a pair ups. Thanks for your time in educating us.
Legit review! Those Metcons are gorgeous.
Hi when is the full review coming?? Really looking forward to it. Keep up the good work!!! 💪💪

Thanks for the review. I might pick them up soon.
I really like them. I did some heavy snatches in them, then did a 5RFT 30 Dus 10 alt DB snatch and wore them and they felt fine.
Would these be a good powerlifting squat shoe for those who want less of a heel?
Thanks!
Yeah they should work well for that too
I’ve got Romaleo 3 (regular) and Metcon 5s. Feel like I don’t *neeeed* anything, just FOMO! :) Great review bud!

Antas are my absolute fav WL shoe right now...and they have a bright green coming out!!
Its possible to get rom2s still, I just got 2 new pairs
Any updates on how your experience has been with the savaleos ?
I have the metcon 6s and Romaleos 4s . Should i get these for power cleans and snatches ?
Not unless you hated your Romaleos

Any rumor on the release date for the Metcon 7s?
on july
Do they run wider?

For that price they’re okay. I’d rather shell out a little more and get Legacy 3s for 100
Are they good for squat lowbars or powerlifting
Yes if you wanted a lower heel.
is fit like a metcon or romaleos?
Romaleos vs savaleo for wider feet?
Neither would be great. You’ll definitely have to size either up but if I had to call it, probably Romaleos.
Nike is narrow

Try box basics
savaleos are good for heavy squats?
Savaleos or Foost Lifter?
Hello! Do you think that for the sole this shoe can also be used to play on tennis court? Thx.
Metcon yes, savaleos no.
Sorry, out of topic, what’s he wearing on his right wrist?
Whoop
i had the black Sal.
I use to wear a 9.5 of Metcon, what size I should to get for a savaleos?
I would go the same...it'll fit tight initially but break in.
If you wanted to wod in it, I might go with the 10 though.

Which is why it’s probably 15mm, but also the heel is a lot more rigid than a standard trainer.
@@AMRAP I would hope at a minimum. I’m sure marketing might have something to do with it. 😎

@@Emilyspace_it would be drop, but even then 12mm would still be short for even a hybrid shoe since it's like having metcons with the hyperlift.
@@AMRAP Agreed! I like a shorter heel, so just wanted to make sure we're talking about the same thing
These or romaleo 4s? For squatting
For just squatting, Romaleos
I really like the design. Could they be worn just to hang out?
I'd buy them if they were black and gum ;)
woohoo first!
Okay I’m soled
Those calves!
The Chinese English 🙄
The fuck are you talking about? I’m American and I speak English.
Hahahaah what the fuck 😂🤦
