Ngl, I really dig the Big Bro & lil bro vibes OG Ben and Ben 23 gives where I kinda wish they kept the OG Ben mentoring 23 a little bit longer or kept all together so that the writers could have kept OG Ben's character growth, maturity and development consistent while still having a childish goofball Ben to relate to the younger audience
My theory is that instead of Verdona, Xylene is Ben and Gwen's grandmother. That would explain why Gwen isn't an anodite, and why Ben's eyes are blue instead of green. Perhaps Xylene kept Max active as a plumber, and she and Max continued the fight against Vilgax. The Omnitrix was sent to Max to help, but before it could get there, Max and Vilgax had their final showdown, resulting in Max sacrificing himself in order to kill Vilgax.
Dimension 23 is a Dimension, not an universe or a timeline, the series always says it's a Dimension and never a universe or a timeline and Dimension 23 dont necessarily has its changes related only to specific historical events such as the death of Max
@@miguelbianchi968 it is a universe just because they say dimension doesn't mean shit. It's clearly means universe in this contest this is a universe where grandpa max died early.
@@frankspick7544 But we have no instance of it being called anything other than dimension, so calling it universe or timeline has even less weight. This is especially considering that Paradox has already called this place dimension and never anything else Edit: This is also considering that, for example, the Forge of Creation is basically an alternative universe that (as far as we know) is not derived in any way from the main dimension, and the same goes for the universe that is physically closest to the main one What I think, taking into account everything that was said in the series, is that: The difference between universes, dimensions and timelines is that universes can be similar, but also extremely different, even varying according to the laws of physics (such as Rex's universe, which has extremely similar laws of physics; the universe closest to the main universe seen in The Forge of Creation, which according to Paradox has counterintuitive laws of physics; and other universes created by the Contumelia using other Annihilarrgh). Dimensions are other planes of existence, which may or may not be similar to the main dimension (like the 23rd dimension, which is similar to the main dimension, and Legerdomain, which is very different) and may or may not extend to other universes ( like the Null Void, which extends into the Rex universe). Timelines are alternate versions of the same universe history, but without fundamental changes in their structure, like the No Watch Ben timeline. In which each universe has distinct timelines, which also affect other dimensions (therefore, there is also, for example, a dimension 23 in each timeline, connected to the other dimensions of that same timeline). (although a timeline can also be referred to as a universe (and a set of timelines as a multiverse), they are "temporal universes", not "spatial universes").
@@TheInkTank HEY kuro big fan um sorry 🙏 am disturbing you but is it true rb ben is in the same universe 🌌 🌌 of ben prime because gray matter fanboy thinks RB Ben is the same universe of him because in the episode 16 forge of creation where paradox pont at the blue universe just saying. also can you do a video of the omni-enhanced and the omni-kix please
Ben 23 being a version of Classic Ben who never had Grandpa Max to keep his ego in check is such an interesting concept and I'm glad he continued to appear in the series
@@mayotango1317 it was explored pretty good though, all that could be done was shown and all Ben 23 needed was a spin off but I'm glad they didn't do it cuz good IPs have terrible spin offs (compare Kung Fu Panda movies to their shows)
42:56 It doesn't works for a Galvan, It does work for Blucky and Briba(That, or was a joke like "you tried to activate two opposite poles at the same time", I mean, he use the simplest example of the silliest problem, it's like explaining with apples, It's humiliating xd).
Max giving Ben a hard time about toying with his villains, could be part of ben being brought into the plumbers fully as well as Max actually being around when Ben fights his villains, he usually isn't and is rather off doing paperwork or something
In this case, I think it might be because Liam Kidnapped a bunch of Vaxasaurian Eggs. Liam Straight up Kidnapped a Bunch of Children, and Ben wasn't taking it seriously.
31:20 Ben 23 probably just isn't as close with Gwen since Max is the reason she joined their summer road trip in the first place. The road trip must've still happened in some form since Ben had to get the Hero Watch from somewhere, but probably not with Gwen (maybe he just drove around with his parents or something).
It's a possibility. Maybe after Max died, Ben's parents still took him to the trip themselves to keep him distracted from his grief then he found the hero watch. And that's why he's not close with Gwen, maybe she did other things to keep herself distracted from grief but knowing Natalie ma was probably sent to a summer school.
Strangely enough, Doctor Who actually compensated for the shifting space when time traveling. The T.A.R.D.I.S is said to be a space-time machine, the Doctor had said on multiple occasions that short distances are hard to calculate because of the slight changes in space-time.
44:09 Then there were none would be a great story to add the fact that he turned seventeen Vilgax could have bantered that the ChronoBomb was "His birthday gift to Ben, for all of them." Or something like that
I like episodes of OV where Ben is shown to be mature and not everyone constantly prattling on about him being goofy. For a 16 year old kid with the most powerful device in the entire universe, with everyone knowing who he is, people do forget that Ben is pretty humble for what he is. Ben 23 is a direct showcase of this.
I think OV's strongest attribute is how is shows how Ben's influence the people around him, and the relationships he has with certain people in his life. And this episode is probably one of the best showcases of that.
42:18 imagine if that device wasn't gonna blow up but like, basically knock Ben 23 out, but because Prime put in hundreds, if not thousands of codes in rapid succession, it caused a security measure that made it explode
21:41 I love how Bens showing off their Omnitrixes is like Spider peoples' spider senses syncing up. Or like Wolverine seeing X-23's two claws for the first time. It's cool seeing characters react to there being someone else like them out there. And yeah, I know Ben 23 isn't the first Omnitrix wielder Ben has met, but it's the first time he's met one that wasn't evil or a version of himself from the future or past
12:30 Fun fact about Cow and Chicken: it had a banned episode about teaching kids about smoking is bad. That episode was ahead of its time. In my opinion it's about chicken going to hell for smoking cigarettes and being tortured by the devil until cow save him.
There was also a Controversial episode involving Female Bikers who...... Chew the Carpets of people's homes ....... You can kind of get what they were going with
@@minerwolf13 there is more than one way to make dishes some American tacos look nothing like Mexican tacos that doesn’t mean that the America’s version isn’t a taco. Also all the different ways to make pizza that doesn’t mean a Chicago style isn’t pizza.
43:03 um you remember who azimuth is talking to right? Those two are the simpletons of the Galvan race!!! Lol they’re still smart of course but they’re also goofballs. So 23’s azimuth explaining what to do for them makes sense lol
I'm assuming Tetrax's beard is a reference to Star Trek. In which the mirror universe Spock has a beard for seemingly no reason other than differentiating him from Spock Prime.
The true omniverse is in our hearts, in our AU fanfics. And in time travelling, you forget about gravity. It bends space enough to stay in the same place.
@@yashJoshi-hn6bf yeah, every universe is created by different choices in life. Like don't underestimate how the smallest decisions can compound into significant differences over a lifetime
@@TheInkTank Hey inktank, please make a series on focusing on the lore of alternate bens like you do for And beyond, What incidents (that are not shown in the show) lead up to what they became and simultaneously what future do they hold in 5yl? Also kuro would you make a chapter on danny meeting rex, and ben meeting rex again, also it would be interesting to see Danny's reaction to alternate ben.
@@TheInkTankYou know, I have a suggestion for a solar system with a lot of new aliens. Well, as the classic movie monsters are based on aliens from the anur system in the Ben10 universe, why not do the same with fairy tale creatures like orcs, dwarves, elves, etc..., I already imagined an entire sola system of tales of fairies.
This episode also has the best Max and Ben interaction with that ending. You can see that both care about each other dearly and they have such a warm father and son bond. Probably my favourite episode ending.
I don't see a problem with the Omnitrix coming off easily when it's being removed properly since the only time we see the Omnitrix being removed in a grotesque and painful way it was literally being ripped off by force.
Love it when Ben tells the younger one to listen to Azmuth advices because he doesn’t want to comeback and have to save him or kick his butt. It Shows how Ben prime is smart and knows that Ben 23 is still not skill enough to deal with all kinds of threats and/or that his moral code might go back to crossing the line.
24:06 I always thought Ben 23 said Giant Hamster as a kid My theory for Ben 23 is that Max defeated Vilgax and thought he had killed him at a later date, like say maybe when Ben was around 7 or 9, then Ben not knowing what happened mourned his loss and continued with life, after first getting the Omnitrix, he fights and Azmuth finds out sends Bounty Hunters to take the Omnitrix similar to what happened in Hunted, Ben defeated all of them and stole Tetrax’s hoverboard, went back home after summer and had already revealed his identity to the public and just lived a wealthy life
“Gyro Time” is literally riffing off “Hero Time”, it should count. Its def closer than “Going Hero!”, enough to know that you are supposed to infer that that’s the Ben 23 version of that catchphrase. Up the counter!
I like Tetrax with a beard TBH. Since Petrosapiens can shapeshift their hands, maybe they can also shapshift other parts of their body as well, to some extent. Maybe Tetrax 23 just decided to push some extra crystals out of his chin. Alternatively, maybe they just grow extra crystals passively, sort of like the Creeping Crystals from ATLA (I can’t think of any other examples). If it does grow passively, then Tetrax 23 just decided not to shave, presumably with a hammer and chisel.
For vilgax not being here,it could either be the change of vilgax is a benevolent ruler instead of a conqueror or that vilgax dies in the ship explosion as the watch arrived. Instead of being turned into a cyborg
29:27 By that logic, Tobey Maguire’s Peter in Spider-Man 2 would’ve avoided all conflict and drama he went through the film if he just didn’t stop every criminal he encountered but it was a responsibility of his, to save the people of New York.
i heavily disagree with kuro, but i do think its apples to orranges here. Tobey's peter gets a "green goblin" kind of villan like once a year, while ben gets one every week, so his idea of only going after the major baddies makes sense but i still disagree with kuro
That's terrible logic. Spider-man is a street level hero that's his job. Ben goes into space to save entire solar systems and occasionally the entire universe and sometimes beyond just one universe. Everytime he's off world crime happens that he's not there to solve. So what then? Street crime lile robberies are beneath him and should be taken care of by local police or if he has literally nothing better to do.
I’m probably the only one but I don’t mind Ben 23s alien names because the way we react to them is basically how alien characters in-universe would react to Ben Primes alien names and I just like that Ben Prime isn’t the only one giving his aliens names and that it isn’t the same names
It’s interesting that you and others feel like Omniverse didn’t really embrace its titles concept till this episode onward because I always felt it did. I look at the term “Omniverse” as well as what the first half of the series set out to do and to me I take that term to mean that this show would pull from every corner of the Ben 10 franchise to create a show that honored and paid tribute to what came before it while also doing its own thing. pretty sure this was DJW’s intent as well what with him bringing back so many elements, characters, and stories from past shows and revamping them for this one). That’s part of why Omniverse flip flops between my favorite of second favorite Ben 10 show; it really does feel like a celebration of the entire franchise and the flashbacks to 11 yr old Ben play into that imo. With that being said, I can definitely understand how others might view the name Omniverse and interpret that to meaning there should be stories playing into the alt timelines and dimensions aspect of the lore, which I also love and I loved how we got that in the back half of the series as well
Maybe I’ve been watching too much Regular Show, because at 22:58, when Kuro asks, “you know who else does that a lot,” I was fully expecting a Muscle Man style “my mom!”
24:33 I find it interesting that Ben 23 does not have the Random Selection problem, since it is precisely the type of function that would be useful for its marketing xd
I can listen to you talk about Ben 10 24/7. Please NEVER stop! And if ever do stop, just recruit an alternate dimension version of you to take your place. Perhaps blue tinted Kuro 23? Though no one could ever replace Kuro Prime!
It was foreshadowed in “Blukic And Driba Episode” Good to see to Tetrax, even though he never appeared in the original timeline, again. “No buts. You're gonna start acting your age 'cause I know you want to be, a hero more than a mogul. That quote reminds of what Ben Tennyson is from Alien Force, Season 1-2.
I swear the bike Ben uses in the episode dimension 23 was supposed to be built in the episode rules of engagement which aired in season 3. So is this supposed to be an error?????
32:19 speaking on being disappointed that ben23 doesn’t have unique alien designs. I think that’d be an awesome video series where you redesign Ben 23’s aliens to suit him better👀
I think Max 23 died fighting Vilgax. But before the life-changing summer road trip that Ben Gwen and Max took. Maybe the first time he used the anti-Vilgax weapon he killed Vilgax for good but died to the feedback or something. With no road trip Ben and Gwen never became close either, explaining her absence. It's entirely possible she IS an anodite and just doesn't know.
I just noticed that when Ben 10 mentions Vilgax to Ben 23, the gyro store guy yells "who ordered the calamari". Calamari is fried squid, Vilgax looks like a squid, so Vilgax definitely got fried
@@krspaceT1 No, that's dave filoni, my friend. Also, it's Jango Fett, not Mandalorians in general. Although, he certainly did ruin the Mandalorians with TCW.
At one point in this episode's production, the Dimension 23 counterpart of Kevin would have appeared or been name-dropped, working as a busboy in Mr. Gyro, where his last name would've been pronounced as "Leveen" instead of "Levin".
The whole thing about time travel and not moving through space only works if there's a definitive universal reference point, but relativity refutes that. You're only moving if you set your reference point to something moving relative to you. So using earth as their reference point, they really havent moved through space at all, only time.
24:50 Your theory about Ben 23's Max is exactly what I was gonna say, so I'm glad I held off on commenting until I got far enough into the vid. Brilliant!
I had always liked Ben 10 beforehand but these episode reviews are really making me appreciate how special this series really is. Thank you for making these😂
Even though this in a later episode my favorite meta joke with Ben 23 is that the only alien that they both named the same was eye guy implying that they didn’t like the name.
I actually don't mind Azmuth being able to remove the Omnitrix so easily because it seems like a logical feature he'd build into it. Kinda like how he ripped the dial and core out in SOTO without even trying, I imagine that the Omnitrix automatically unlocks itself when Azmuth interacts with it. Doesn't make up for the other times it gets taken off so easily, but this one time I'm fine letting it slide. I also think they could've gone a slightly different angle with this episode, where Ben Prime essentially takes on the same role Max did for him but for Ben 23 instead. It would be cool to see Ben realise how much Max has done for him, and give him a chance to mature into more of a leader role as he passes Max's lessons on to Ben 23.
@@pickedceasar1216 Exactly. Azmuth's voice is literally the "root password" of the device (he unlocks Master Control just by _saying_ to do so, no auth code needed, whereas he had to tell AF Ben a voice _command code_ to activate self destruct), it'd make sense that his DNA would also be for merely touching the device to override it. It could also be that Ben 23's Hero Watch is in the _Recalibrated_ phase and no longer needs to be literally fused to his skin the way the Prototype needed to be, so that combined with "oop, that's the Creator's genetic code, [sudo su Azmuth]" meant taking it off was as easy as, well, a normal watch.
Yes, but if it was that easy then why didn't he use the voice command to at least turn it off/disable it and catch the boy? I would have preferred to remove the Core as it is much simpler than the entire watch.
28:25 I can only imagine how Ben Prime felt hearing Ben 23 talking about just casually not using Feedback (his favourite alien which was almost like an imaginary friend to him) and treating him like a character in a brand/tv show. a thing and not a person. while Ben Prime had to deal with the loss of what he considered to be an individual and a separate part of himself. I think it really showed him how misguided this alternate version of him became.
With the countless AUs people make, its highly possible there's a version of Gwen 23 who is an Anodite that uses the persona of Lucky Girl to express herself.
I really did enjoy how Ben Prime acted like a Big brother to Ben 23 when it came to giving him some guidance. I wish we got more of that but I’m glad we got another episode dedicated to their dynamic
41:00 Fair enough the dimension travel wasn’t really a necessity, but I think that getting an episode where Ben learns the importance of Max’s wisdom and how it affects his growth and makes him an overall better person was something we as the audience really needed to see. Especially considering that when Omniverse started a lot of new fans started watching Ben 10 for the first time without any context behind the previous series’s. Though I definitely agree that it shouldn’t have been necessary to use Dimension travel as a subplot in order to get an episode focused around this. This type of theme deserves its own full episode. Much Love, Kuro ~ 💚 Keep up the good work. 👍
I used to get mad when I was young when I hear Ben 23 names for classic Ben's aliens like Techno Bubble I'd be like "IT'S UPGRADE!" Nice looking place kuro. Edit: 12:42 His name in the show is called The Red Guy and he looks like the Devil. Edit 2: 21:42 I like the Dark Blue Gold and Cyan color scheme on the 23 Omnitrix
I feel like the scene with Ben 23 almost brutally killing his Azmuth doesn't get talked about enough. He was even casual while on the verge of RIPPING THE GUY IN HALF!!!
I think that the "It's Gyro time!" counts as a "Hero time" cause it has the intention behind it, like when Gwen said "It's Heroes time!" it had the same meaning behind as the original phrase so it counts, just my opinion tho.
Okay hear me out here, I think it shouldn't qualify because Ben 23 actually doesn't use "Gyro Time" with the same intention behind it as Main Ben's "Hero Time". Main Ben says "It's Hero Time" at the start of an encounter in the context of him jumping into action and Ben 23 says "It's Gyro Time" at the end of an encounter in the context of confirming that the action is over so now he can go relax and eat.
38:57 it’s my headcanon that the omnitrix comes off as easily as Ben or Azmuth wants it to. That’s why it was extremely painful when Kevin removed it but seamless whenever Ben or Azmuth willingly remove it
25:00 Maybe he died in the first encounter with vilgax. When he trapped vilgax to the rocket maybe it happened in a different way where max had to go up with it. But maybe that is too far back in the timeline for ben 23 to even know who max is.
About Azmuth just taking the hero watch, for me it doesn’t bother me because it’s Amzuth, the smartest being in five galaxies and the creator of the Omnitrix. This is the reason I’m not bothered in Primus either because while he didn’t take it himself, Azmuth wanted the Omnitrix to come to him so it obeyed. (Clarification I know outside the show the people who write these episodes stoped caring and they just wanted to tell the story without any dramatic way to remove the watch) It’s always frustrating when an episode shows how easy it is to remove the Omnitrix but the only times I don’t get frustrated is when Azmuth is the one to remove it.
34:59 see, here's how i perceive this scene now: ben is trying to input every code in to the device as fast as he can, but the device cant keep up with the speed of a Kineceleran. This results in the device short-circuiting and being removed that way. However, i also know that there may be flaws in my theory.
7:37 "What do they have to worry about?" Their lunch. 11:31 I don't think this was intentional on Hokestar's part. It was mentioned that the story shows up in different locations, so I think he just phased into a building. 12:38 Basically, they just do wacky hijinks each episode. They're what you call "An 'And' Show." 31:37 Actually, that's SevenSeven... Or would we need to add twenty-three to that? 36:25 I know the gag is that Ben 23 gives his aliens really lame names, but I love the names he gives his electric aliens. Elrctric-Yet, Lightning Volt, Jelly Fritz. They all keep the original spirit while putting a new spin on it. Heck, I think some of them are actually _better_ than Ben Prime's names. *Edit:* 46:14 "We're gonna finish this off with a 23/25!" Blukic: Hmm. 23rd Dimension, 23 on the delineator, store 23, Ben 23, rating 23, episode 23.
31:36 I’m like 90% that’s SevenSeven, not SixSix because his armor looks more like SevenSeven with the similar color layout, besides the purple being replaced with white. Plus that gun he just uses resembles SevenSeven’s arm gun and he also makes the exact same noises as prime SevenSeven does when he shows up later in Omniverse.
I was not even aware a Ben 10 MMORPG existed. The only MMO I knew of that was Cartoon Network related & had Ben 10 in it was Fusion Fall. I mean to be fair, the idea of Max dying against Vilgax could still technically/maybe apply, it just being tied to when he fought Vilgax the first time when he was younger.
Love it when Ben meets up with Ben 23. He’s a great cautionary tale, his aliens have cool alternate designs and horrible names, and whenever Ben prime is around him he feels the need to step up as the mature one. Which is always great, I love it when OV can mix the quips and sarcasm of OV Ben with some of the mature it AF seasons 1 and 2. You also see some of that in And Then There We’re None, but we’ll get there when we get there-
So a friend of mine pointed this out to me about how Atomix in the series looks like Azmuth's robotic biosuit, which is based on the ancient machine gods worshipped by the primitive Galvan.
Yeah I definitely agree with a Ben’s 17th birthday episode. I doubt that this idea would’ve happened in omniverse given how strict Cartoon Network became with how serious Ben 10 could get. But I think it would be great if the episode was about Ben pondering if he’s worthy of one day getting master control over the omnitrix since Asmith said that he might give him access for his 18th. So with him now being one age closer to gaining access he reflects on all of the stuff he’s done and begins to question himself about if he’s worthy of that kind of power
breakdowns have come back!! on the topic of "onniverse", i feel like it was the demo title or the working title (if you know what i mean). it really reminds me of metallica's 2x4 or dyers eve, placeholder/demo/work-in-progress titles that eventually had stuck.
I love that detail of an alien civilian pulling out a cellphone to record Ben’s heroics We’d all do the same thing and it shows how they’re just like us Edit: “You’re gonna give that to Hokestar and trust him with it?” Yeah no way he’s not gonna sell that thing. It’s priceless among fans!
about the omniverse title Kuro, i think its more talking about the universe then multiverse (like of course we get multiverse stories in OV) but im also talking about lore and universe expansion OV made for the franchise
47:05 having a episode where ben 23 fights his version of vilgax's would be fire, im supriced they didn't do that it has so much potential, I would imagine it go somewhat similar to what happened in a reboot (Excluding the vilgax transformation).
39:24 I still think Max died Fighting Vilgax but due to different circumstances... Maybe he died during ep 1 when Vilgax ship got hit? Maybe the final blow was from Max using something to finish Vilgax off hense why he was still alive for Azmuth to consider but was too late
But I wished that before he passed, Derrick would make a model sheet of Gwen 23. Since she's shy, maybe design her kinda similar to Fluttershy from My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic and Equestria Girls. Idk, I'm sure Kuro could come up with a design if he wanted to.
44:04 y’know what episode I would have wanted to have Ben turn 17? *This one!!* I’ve always thought that this episode would’ve worked a lot better if grandpa Max was fed up with Ben’s attitude because he was turning 17, and with that age Max would have wanted Ben to take on a little more responsibility.
To be honest, nostalgia aside, if you REALLY think about it, og series Ben was almost just as bad at naming his aliens as 23. Like him calling a big red alien with four arms "Fourarms" is about as on the nose as calling a blue ice lizard "Freezelizard". Like not saying all of the og alien names are like Ben 23 levels but names like "GhostFreak" and "Benwolf" really tow that line 💀
12:00 this caught me off guard as a kid. I wasn't a fan of cow and chicken, nor did I really watch the show, but I do know about the characters. So, this was a surprise.
This should have been a two-parter, maybe tease some of the other alternative Bens or show off more familiar characters, heck showing Ben23’s parents could have been neat
Loving the motion comic and breakdowns and other projects u guys have I know u guys all are very busy but would love for kuro to complete the Ben 10 games (whenever u have time of course)it feels bad leaving things unfinished
Trivia: • Dimension 23's Gwen is shy. Unlike her Prime Timeline counterpart, she is not an Anodite. • Dimension 23's Kevin works as a busboy in Mr. Gyro. • Dimension 23's Jimmy Jones is just a little kid. • Dimension 23's Billy Billions is on the Ben 23 Inc. board of directors and is growing up fine. • Dimension 23's Dr. Animo is an evil scientist who works with vegetables and is named Dr. Vegeto. • Dimension 23's Will Harangue is Ben 23's biggest fan. • Dimension 23's Sandra Tennyson and Carl Tennyson are similar to their Prime Timeline counterparts but a little more lax and lazy because of their lifestyle. • Microchips such as Teeny-Weeny exist in Dimension 23 as a sapient species known as "Nanomites" with their own civilization in the galaxy. • Dimension 23 does not have a counterpart to Malware or the Nemetrix. • Much like the Prime Timeline, Dimension 23 has Magic. • There are definitely alternate versions of other Cartoon Network characters living in Dimension 23.
I feel like an explanation of why Vilgax isn't in Dimension 23 could be seen in the flashback from the classic series (Season 2 episode 1). Where a younger Max and Vilgax fought. If the writers didn't want to write a whole new backstory for 23's Max then they could use this scene. In that battle both could have died, maybe as a result of the nuke that Vilgax stole exploding. Resulting in why Ben 23 is so different since you could argue that both Vilgax and Grandpa Max are what helped shape Ben. One teaches Ben his morals while the other challenges it and helps push him to become a better hero.

The Omnitrix was sent to Max to help, but before it could get there, Max and Vilgax had their final showdown, resulting in Max sacrificing himself in order to kill Vilgax.
interesting idea, that might explain other differences under "butterfly effect"
Dimension 23 is a Dimension, not an universe or a timeline, the series always says it's a Dimension and never a universe or a timeline and Dimension 23 dont necessarily has its changes related only to specific historical events such as the death of Max
@@miguelbianchi968 it is a universe just because they say dimension doesn't mean shit. It's clearly means universe in this contest this is a universe where grandpa max died early.
@@frankspick7544 But we have no instance of it being called anything other than dimension, so calling it universe or timeline has even less weight. This is especially considering that Paradox has already called this place dimension and never anything else
Edit: This is also considering that, for example, the Forge of Creation is basically an alternative universe that (as far as we know) is not derived in any way from the main dimension, and the same goes for the universe that is physically closest to the main one
What I think, taking into account everything that was said in the series, is that:
The difference between universes, dimensions and timelines is that universes can be similar, but also extremely different, even varying according to the laws of physics (such as Rex's universe, which has extremely similar laws of physics; the universe closest to the main universe seen in The Forge of Creation, which according to Paradox has counterintuitive laws of physics; and other universes created by the Contumelia using other Annihilarrgh).

My theory for Ben 23 is that Max defeated Vilgax and thought he had killed him at a later date, like say maybe when Ben was around 7 or 9, then Ben not knowing what happened mourned his loss and continued with life, after first getting the Omnitrix, he fights and Azmuth finds out sends Bounty Hunters to take the Omnitrix similar to what happened in Hunted, Ben defeated all of them and stole Tetrax’s hoverboard, went back home after summer and had already revealed his identity to the public and just lived a wealthy life

She's only not one because Wyatt gave out the trivial bits and Wyatt is the Traviss of Ben 10, just replace Mandalorians with OS callbacks
I just noticed that when Ben 10 mentions Vilgax to Ben 23, the gyro store guy yells "who ordered the calamari". Calamari is fried squid, Vilgax looks like a squid, so Vilgax definitely got fried
Or maybe being Anodite works differently than just genetics? They're energy beings so maybe the powers have to be active to be considered one?
@@krspaceT1 No, that's dave filoni, my friend. Also, it's Jango Fett, not Mandalorians in general. Although, he certainly did ruin the Mandalorians with TCW.

The whole thing about time travel and not moving through space only works if there's a definitive universal reference point, but relativity refutes that.
You're only moving if you set your reference point to something moving relative to you. So using earth as their reference point, they really havent moved through space at all, only time.
Huh, I actually didn't think there was a logical rebuttal to the whole space-time fallacy but that honestly makes sense.

I had always liked Ben 10 beforehand but these episode reviews are really making me appreciate how special this series really is. Thank you for making these😂
Ben 10 and Ben 23 feels like a cool way to do a sidekick scenario in a show that doesn't really lend itself to that.
If there's someone who can remove the omnitrix easily, it should be azmuth.
@@N.I.A23 yeah I don’t get why he’s so butt hurt about the one time it makes sense 😂
@@pickedceasar1216 Exactly.

I can only imagine how Ben Prime felt hearing Ben 23 talking about just casually not using Feedback (his favourite alien which was almost like an imaginary friend to him) and treating him like a character in a brand/tv show. a thing and not a person.
while Ben Prime had to deal with the loss of what he considered to be an individual and a separate part of himself. I think it really showed him how misguided this alternate version of him became.
With the countless AUs people make, its highly possible there's a version of Gwen 23 who is an Anodite that uses the persona of Lucky Girl to express herself.
That'd be way better than just "She's shy and NOT and Anodite".

Gotta give Kuro credit for enthusiastically gesturing with a gyro over what I’m sure is a normally immaculate keyboard
23:44 if he's supposed to be 13 I kinda like that they had his voice cracking at times.

Edit: 12:42 His name in the show is called The Red Guy and he looks like the Devil. Edit 2: 21:42 I like the Dark Blue Gold and Cyan color scheme on the 23 Omnitrix
The joke is, that the Red Guy IS the Devil. He was confirmed to be so in the pilot episode, "No Smoking".
I feel like the scene with Ben 23 almost brutally killing his Azmuth doesn't get talked about enough. He was even casual while on the verge of RIPPING THE GUY IN HALF!!!
Yeah no just from that alone we can probably infer, Ben 23 probably did kill most of the aliens he ever fought.
I think that the "It's Gyro time!" counts as a "Hero time" cause it has the intention behind it, like when Gwen said "It's Heroes time!" it had the same meaning behind as the original phrase so it counts, just my opinion tho.
Yep same as Ben saying “it’s hero time, way big hero time” in Destroy All Aliens, it should definitely count
Disagree. Get that shit outta here
Okay hear me out here, I think it shouldn't qualify because Ben 23 actually doesn't use "Gyro Time" with the same intention behind it as Main Ben's "Hero Time".
Same thoughts if it's Azmuth doing it I'm fine anyone else however I'm like why?
34:59 see, here's how i perceive this scene now: ben is trying to input every code in to the device as fast as he can, but the device cant keep up with the speed of a Kineceleran. This results in the device short-circuiting and being removed that way. However, i also know that there may be flaws in my theory.
Nah I actually think that's a great explanation!

31:37 Actually, that's SevenSeven...
*Edit:* 46:14 "We're gonna finish this off with a 23/25!"
Blukic: Hmm.
Always nice to see a Kuro the Drawer video in his iconic vest. Another banger as always
43:28 Shazam reference moment for Max
AYE! Nice!
I love that detail of an alien civilian pulling out a cellphone to record Ben’s heroics
We’d all do the same thing and it shows how they’re just like us
Edit: “You’re gonna give that to Hokestar and trust him with it?”
Yeah no way he’s not gonna sell that thing. It’s priceless among fans!
Fun fact electricyeti was shocksquaches beta name and the producers reused it
about the omniverse title Kuro, i think its more talking about the universe then multiverse (like of course we get multiverse stories in OV) but im also talking about lore and universe expansion OV made for the franchise
32:51 very cool, always love the ideas talk
47:05 having a episode where ben 23 fights his version of vilgax's would be fire, im supriced they didn't do that it has so much potential, I would imagine it go somewhat similar to what happened in a reboot (Excluding the vilgax transformation).
39:24 I still think Max died Fighting Vilgax but due to different circumstances... Maybe he died during ep 1 when Vilgax ship got hit? Maybe the final blow was from Max using something to finish Vilgax off hense why he was still alive for Azmuth to consider but was too late
3:23 blud talks like Way Big and Four Arms are good names 😭😭😭
Better than handy buddy
Honestly its just like a youtubers YT name. Like they are kinda stupid when you think about it but they get so popular that it's just normal.
better than vomit man
@@levievil9220or big manster
Better than Ben 23 names
Happy one month anniversary to supporting this amazing channel. Many more months to come
Thanks for sticking around! Happy to have supporters like you
But I wished that before he passed, Derrick would make a model sheet of Gwen 23.
*This one!!*
I’ve always thought that this episode would’ve worked a lot better if grandpa Max was fed up with Ben’s attitude because he was turning 17, and with that age Max would have wanted Ben to take on a little more responsibility.
AHHHHHDAMNIT! THAT WOULD'VE BEEN PERFECT!
I honestly have no idea what'd I'd name a ghost alien if I had that watch. From four arms to Handy Man is just like huh?
@@kermitgotthesickkicks4265 no exactly like brainfrog is pretty along the lines of something young ben would've called an alien
They do make a joke out of that later with Eye Guy having the same name.
@@theking8347 no exactly like Ben 23 gets so much hate on his alien names it's so silly
But Four Arms is a pun on forearms
Also, when Ben talks to Tetrax and the omnitrix faceplate slides down, you can see the symbol is oriented wrong.
Trivia:
• Dimension 23's Gwen is shy.
Wish that the No Watch Universe and Mad Dimension had this level of trivia
I am sorry, I can't take the name Dr Vegeto serious because it makes me think of Vegito from Dragonball the potara fusion of Goku and Vegeta.
Hmm well damn if magic still exists in Ben 23's dimension, there's hope for Gwen 23 yet!
But, Ben 23 knew Max and remembers him, and I think that flashback was before Ben and Gwen were born.
