I’m from a town that puts out a ton of d1 lacrosse players each year from a public school. And I gotta say, lacrosse and football goes together so well. Fat guys develop better footwork and become faster. And kids who are skinnier can experience contact and dodging. The one on one dodging is great for receivers who need to learn to create space and beat a man in front of them.
I know this was commented a long time ago, but I couldn’t agree more. I was a DE for my HS football team and was pretty average for my height and size. I was slow. Plane and simple. Joined the lax team with a few other of the football players and I Actually was a goalie so wasn’t moving around much but my god, I never complained about conditioning in football ever again….
You forgot the first - first team All American in both Football and Lacrosse! He did it before Jim Brown....Mr. Redmond C.S. Finney. Princeton Class of '51. Center in Football. Midfield in Lacrosse. Gilman Scool Headmaster. Look him up and add him to this video
David Lohrey thanks for the info- will look him up for sure! Same time, trying to get more 'recent', 'big name' NFL players to use as examples so the content appeals to the younger generation of football players and coaches as well. Trying to help recruit more athletes from multiple sports to play lacrosse out here.
Lacrosse isnt a dangerous sport rn. But when it gets popular and 6’7 athletic freaks start playing. The rules r gonna change and the equipment will change. U think myles jones is big? Nothing compared to the freaks of nature in the nba and nfl. Nothing against myles or any big guy in pro lacrosse rn. But im just saying.
It’s still pretty dangerous, field lacrosse not so much but it’s still dangerous, box lacrosse is definitely more dangerous. Wayyy smaller area to play, and it’s full contact. But It would be crazy if a 6”9 freak of nature played lacrosse
