What a fitting tribute. This is the full and complete picture of Bill Belichick, not just the man on the sidelines or answering the press post-game. The doubters, which included myself at times, should be converted after watching this. As for his losing seasons, a coach can only do so much. In the end, the players have to get it done and the talent has to be there. Belichick had the talent for many years and he coached that talent to excellence and championships.

Although Walker was a great player Edelmans play on the field justifies the way Welkers legacy was kinda diminished but for good reason.. WW lost both SB’s he played in for the Pats and he dropped a perfect pass from Brady that basically lost them that SB against NYG and then Edelman making one of the greatest/most clutch catches in NFL and SB history to keep the 28-3 comeback alive, catching the game winner 2 years earlier in SB 49 against SEA and then wins SB MVP against the Rams in 2018.. Edelmans shadow looms large in Patriot history and at least in my personal opinion, he is the best embodiment of the Patriot way outside of Tom of course.. JE11 was my favorite player to watch play for this team, like Kraft told him before one of the SB’s.. “heart and soul, your our heart and soul man..”

He coached greats like Tom Brady, Chad Johnson, Randy Moss, Vince Wilfork, Richard Seymour, Corey Dillon, Junior Seau, Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, Rodney Harrison and many others. I’m glad Robert Kraft was able to bring him to New England to win Super Bowls. He did just that. Thanks for everything Bill! He may coach for another team, but nobody knows where he gonna go next season; wherever he goes he’ll take them to the next level
