I remember these coming out, and I was disappointed that BL had made no effort to style it as a Triumph. But, that aside, it was a very good car, probably the most reliable car that had that name on the boot lid.
Actually , my mistake. That interior finish is Leyland. The Honda Ballade had a very nicely finished off interior . All seats were velour trimmed and so were the door cards. This car looks very cheap inside compared to a true Ballade. So I guess Triumph dressed it…of you can call it that.
Honda engine made it the most realiable car to ever wear a Triumph badge
It was the Triumph 1300/1500 of the eighties.
What a little gem! Always wanted one but could never find one as good as this 👌

It was my first car, a dark red colour I have had more high-end cars since then but, great memories of it like your first love you never forget it
I owned one of these back in the day , mine was the CD in Oporto red. Thoroughly reliable and well made.
My first car . In Gold with chrome bumpers. Loved it 😊
My young brother had one for a while in, if i remember correctly, gold and it was a beautiful car
Learned to drive in one! Nice little car.
Stunning Triumph Acclaim, It's registered in NI , Bangor Northern Ireland not Bangor Wales
Was this car registered in Northern Ireland
Certainly an N. Ireland number plate, had one in red, great engine!
0:35 you can see the rust at the top edge on the inside of the arch and its spreading.
👍👍
some of those "tiny" and "little" scratches are somewhat larger than described...🤔
Nothing to write home about though given the age of the car .... A decent paint correction at a detailer will have it looking better than new
What a desperately ordinary and boring car. Thank goodness they didn’t last long!
Much better than the complicated unreliable plastic boxes of today.
@@piledriverpotter9847 well, simpler anyway..
Looks like Honda civic 1981
It's a UK-built Honda Ballade with Triumph badges.
Yup, nothing Leyland about it.
Very reliable because it is a Honda Ballade and not a Triumph ….
