Hat's off to Southside Guitars for having the balls to make an original shape guitar that resembles nothing else. They really look killer Shane and I think they deserve a revue on your channel, especially as you were the one who screwed up with the microphone.
Awesome shop!!! I don’t believe I’ve ever been to an all used music store!!! So many great items to pick from and a great left handed section! Thanks again Shane for another great GSS!😎🎸🎸🎸🎸😎👍🏾😎
This video was fantastic. It's my local guitar store (and more than one guitar has been bought by myself from here). Thanks for showcasing this superb shop!
Nice to see the Lefty selection. I'm left handed, but learned right handed back in the late 70's. The area where I lived there were no lefties or I might have went that way in the beginning, but I doubt it because my Father always had a acoustic and 1 electric hanging around were I stared. Thanks for the tour of this very cool shop!
Vince and crew are a great bunch, Southside Guitars are a great store to deal with either buying or selling. Great to see them get some Social Media exposure.
Gear envy. I'm maybe 5 years since I purchased my last guitar. Thought I was doing well. Then this comes up in my feed. Maybe I'll last another year. Hopefully. If I make it to Brisvegas I know I'll cave in at southside.
I’m not a lefty but as a guitarist I’m impressed to see (1st) for me a lefty section for all the “Odd Ball” guitarists lol. I’m happy to see them not have to walk around and peek in every corner to try and find a lefty. They spend more time looking than playing. Nice job mate
Looks like a great shop, Shane.👍 As an owner of both the Fender Mustang II and Mustang III (both second hand), I have to agree with you. They are no nonsense , versatile and reliable amps which, so far, have not let me down. Nice reviews of an eclectic mixture of guitars. Great stuff!👍👍😎🎸🎸
Nice Vid Shane. So many gear purchase decisions for me are based on a lot of unknowns. I have often made a punt on a bit of gear, and sometimes I find the perfect fit, sometimes I end up with a piece of gear that is completely inappropriate to my usage. To have someone who has a good knowledge of gear from cheap to expensive guitars, home use and giggable amps, and particularly in the great land of Oz is just great. Love your work. 👍
That's a cool shop! I wish I had a similar shop around me. I am about 1 1/2 hours from Elderly Instruments, so I get there now and again. When I was in Australia, I visited Sky Music. I was hoping to run into you there, lol. I have a late '90's Pink Paisley MIJ Tele. I love it! I also have a recent MIJ Flower Power Tele. Very cool guitar. Thank for sharing Southside Guitars. My daughter lives in AU, so I'll be back. I'll have to make the trip up to Salisbury. The Chile guitars--love it! Making fun of our American accent was funny :) .Cheers!
Great stuff at that shop - but what caught my eye was the Dean ML acoustic that was hanging up on the rack. Didn't know they were a thing - and now I kind of want one.
They had so much great stuff here, loads of which I have never seen before as well. I might release some short videos down the track of some of the other stuff I didn't include in this video :)
Really cool shop! One that I'll have to check out if I ever get down that way. We just lost one of the few like it that we had here in Seattle. I wish you'd played through that Bugera Vintage 22 that was to your left when you were discussing the Peaveys. I picked one up a couple of years ago and it's been a total workhorse for me. Great for pedals and sounds massive when paired with a 2X12 or 4X12. Nice one, Shane!
Been looking at the lefty Gretsch you played for a while Haven’t been able to get up there to play it now that I’ve heard it played. I’m going to have to make the effort now to go and check it out (wife permitting 😂) thanks for the video
I ha that same Peavey Teal Stripe amp. The clean channel is really good. The crunch channel no, but indeed is a great amp with pedals and loud and heavy. Is built like a tank hehe. Was too much for my needs though, sold it cheap cos just wanted to get it out since it was too big hehe.
Nice one Shane :) I’ve purchased a few pedals from these guys! Awesome shop, so much vibe! I Always go there with the intention to NOT buy anything & just “look” 😂 Harha…
Thanks Shane, great video. Really nice looking shop. I have often wondered about the "jaguar" pronunciation that you point out. I'm in the north eastern US and I say "jag-war" I had never heard "jag-wire" until RUclips came along.
I watch other random channels from that part of the world and they all make weird pronunciations and say that's how Americans speak. But if we make comments like "gooday muate" we sound like idiots ( which is true so why not the other guy too? ). Strange.
There are 2 shops - one for acoustics across the road and one for electrics. They are fair and guitar strings are priced cheaper than most shops and repairs by Paul Dalby are good but some may be taken aback at prices for 'vintage' Fenders and Gibsons . Vintage has crept up to include 1980's too. But that's the way it is.
Man if I walked into that shop, I'd max the credit card out 😂🤣 If I ever get up to Brisbane, I'll definitely be checking it out. Those chilli guitars look fun - Jalapeno on a shhhhhtick.
@@intheblues Amazing. As a retired Math and Special Education teacher putting 3 kids through University, we just couldn’t travel. You did an awesome job presenting this! Thank You😍🌟
I was in there yesterday, very nice store. I nearly bought that Gretch you played 😅
Hat's off to Southside Guitars for having the balls to make an original shape guitar that resembles nothing else. They really look killer Shane and I think they deserve a revue on your channel, especially as you were the one who screwed up with the microphone.
🤣 haha thanks mate. It's a wild design hey.
I wonder what they sound like too. Cool shape.
@@jeffv.akaonsjeffke9865 Hopefully we'll get a review from Shane in the near future.
Love some GSS!! There were some very desirable guitars and amps there for sure. Thank you for taking us along, Shane!
Awesome shop!!! I don’t believe I’ve ever been to an all used music store!!! So many great items to pick from and a great left handed section! Thanks again Shane for another great GSS!😎🎸🎸🎸🎸😎👍🏾😎
Thanks, Jamal. This place is pretty impressive. We thought it would have 1/5th of the stuff it had from the outside. Thanks again man.
This video was fantastic. It's my local guitar store (and more than one guitar has been bought by myself from here). Thanks for showcasing this superb shop!

Looks really cool. I'm not too far away so might take a look.
Vince and crew are a great bunch, Southside Guitars are a great store to deal with either buying or selling. Great to see them get some Social Media exposure.
Vince is such a good guy. Does all my work and fixes my bad work 😂 great to see Shane showcase this hidden gem!
Great! I'd love to see more "road trip" videos from you in Australia. This is like a short vacation! 🙂
I love this series. Feels like walking through a cool Guitar store. Unfortunately we don’t have very many stores like this out where I am anymore
You're so right about peavey putting the effects loop jacks on the front, I wish more brands would do that
Excellent vid thank you Shane (&Rhi behind the camera) . Very entertaining!
🎸🎸🎸

Up, working out business for the day, and ready for the great content you always display. 💎💎💎💎💎
Teal stripe bandits were so good, as a kid myself and mates all had one or a peavey rage.
My type of shop! I thought I had visited every shop in Brisbane when I lived there but I missed this one. 👍😎🎸🎸🎸
Great shop. Picked up a few gems when I only went in for a look..😂🇦🇺
Awesome, Jimmy! How cool is this place, it was a one of my favorite walkthroughs in ages. :)
@@intheblues Agree. It’s on the list every time I visit. Costs me a fortune..😂👍🇦🇺

I love shops like this.
I didn't know they existed, but travel to BrisVegas ever so often (3 hr drive) so I'll check them out. Thanks.
We need a lefty chili guitar.
Oh yeah! haha. I can't wait to try one if it works out. :)

Thanks Shane. That Phantom is cool.
Heading to Brisbane in a few months this is on the Must See List.
Nice one Shane! More of the used shops please as they're a treasure trove
Love these shows and this one is veyr special. Really liked those chili pepper guitars. 3 P90s? Crazy!
Thanks for another excellent GSS 👍
YES !!! This makes my day Mate !! Thanks for awesome GSS series !!! Cheers !!!
wish more stores like that, looks like an amazing store and you must showcase the chili pepper guitars
I'm allowed to come to this shop because of the coffee shop down the road, where my wife can wait haha
Very cool store!!!
Thanks for another great episode of GSS! And I´d love to see some hot Bluesrock tunes comming out of one of these 🌶 shaped guitars ;-)
Cool shop. Great vid. Cheers!

It plays great. I thought about ordering it so beat me to it! haha. :)

Would love to hear some of those Aussie amps they have in stock - saw a Maton and a FiSonic

Love the weird chili 🌶️ shaped guitars! 🎸🔥🎸🔥🎸
Thanks, Scott! They look pretty wild.
Thanks Shane, great video. Really nice looking shop. I have often wondered about the "jaguar" pronunciation that you point out. I'm in the north eastern US and I say "jag-war" I had never heard "jag-wire" until RUclips came along.
I think I heard it spoken like that, possibly in Florida or Georgia. I may have butchered it trying to say it like that, too, haha. Thanks mate.
I watch other random channels from that part of the world and they all make weird pronunciations and say that's how Americans speak.
But if we make comments like "gooday muate" we sound like idiots ( which is true so why not the other guy too? ). Strange.
Love to see you do Music Swop Shop in Elgin St Carlton, they might even vacuum for the occasion. I hope...
🤣 It's a great store, but yeah, it's pretty grubby looking in there. 😂
There are 2 shops - one for acoustics across the road and one for electrics. Lololol that American "Jaguar' was great.
Not sure if you know the history of that model Twin but it’s basically a repackaged Fender era Sunn Model T.
That was funny with the Jaguar joke!
GSS. just gets better and better 👌👍
Your American impressions are comedy gold!
Man if I walked into that shop, I'd max the credit card out 😂🤣
If I ever get up to Brisbane, I'll definitely be checking it out.
Those chilli guitars look fun - Jalapeno on a shhhhhtick.
Hi Shane, would you plz suggest some guitar stores in Sydney? Interested in used one as well 🙏🏻
Wow was that a Dime acoustic 😲😲😲
Where the heck is Brisbane? I live in Toronto. Would Love to get there But in my 70’s and health challenges. Great Video!!! Thanks.
Brisbane, QLD - it's in the north eastern state of Australia.
@@intheblues Amazing. As a retired Math and Special Education teacher putting 3 kids through University, we just couldn’t travel. You did an awesome job presenting this! Thank You😍🌟
Oh, yes! These guitars made from reclaimed wood! Yeah!😃
Thanks for watching! :)
Great video! Guitar shopping with a pretty lady what could be better.
Thanks man! Rock on!
“Jagwire” 😂😂 as an American I approve of this pronunciation 😂😂
Man, that was terrific ❤
Thanks Porkchop! I hope you're well man.
Great vidio, and some nice leftys, how great
Mate you aren’t “cursed” as a lefty….we are the selected ones! :)
Americans don't say jaguar like that :) Great tour Shane, and thank you Rhianna! (sp?)
yeah, they do
"jag-wire!" lol
Yes, some Americans pronounce Jaguar "Jagwire". I pronounce it "Jagwarr" but we also pronounce OK just how it is spelled, not "IyyKyyy".🤗🤔😉
How MUCH was that Ashton Blue Tongue going for Shane?
Did I see a Behringer V-Amp there ??
More chilis and more rhiannon please?!
Great show! Most Americans say “jag-wahr” though, not “jag-wire”. Only idiots say “jag-wire.” :)
🤣 haha I tried
Lets come up with a name for a band that plays those pepper 🌶 guitars!😉
