@@aflashfloodofgear no worries, I am old. Your Guitar Hero reference cracked me up. If you want to watch an interesting guitar focused YT show, check out Chris Shiflett’s “Shredding with Shifty” episode with Mike McCready. Chris one if the guitarists in the Foo Fighters and he does an awesome job with that show. I catch it when Premier Guitar reposts it on their YT channel.
Interesting bits that denote our current era and generational touch-stones: doesn't know McCready but when referencing perfect pitch references Beato. (Beato who would know McCready). Love these videos. Keep them coming.
Yo! That was my pink novo you picked up at Carter! I got excited. Thought you might like my 61 jazzmaster in the same shop, but the Novo will suffice! It’s killer. Love this type of video
I think of Nashville as a town flooded with gifted guitar players which makes me wonder how there could be any good guitars left over for the average Joe?
Those tweaker amps aren’t bad to be honest. I had a head version and quite liked it. On another note I was born in 1985 and I 100% know who Mike McCready is. Haha
Need to get myself back to Nashville soon, new Carter location looks great. Did they take the Orville Gibson made early mandolins and guitars off display at the Gibson Garage?
Really enjoying your channel. Hey Alex that white Explorer you had at the beginning that thing was sick. Of course all the guitars at the Gibson garage are way out of my price range but not out of my taste range😂. Great video as always look forward to the next one thank you
Honestly, for the markup on j customs here in the USA, next trip to Japan I would go full profit mode and find as many rock bottom prices on j customs as possible, bring back as many as one can carry of them, walk away with a nice 100% markup back home, go back to Japan and buy all the expensive stuff I couldn't afford last time.
@ Rumble Seat, what was that 335 style guitar with diamond holes, instead of f-holes? I know it wasn't my dream guitar Trini Lopez because it had a conventional head stock. And two more at Gibson Garage! Those blue and black Les Paul's looked sweet too. Once a year I'd like to see a compilation, something like April Archtop fest for July Jazzbox jubilee
Never thought I'd be that guy, but I did cringe a little when you said you didn't know who MM was. And I don't even listen to PJ. *edit - I still gave a thumbs up. Thanks for the tour!
Jimi Hendrix? 🤔 Who? 🤨 Oh yeah, wasn't he was the drummer in Led Zeppelin 😅 Led Zeppelin? 🤔 Pearl Jam took them out on their First Support Tour in 2005/2006 way back in the old "Free Love Hippie Days". That's actually where Mum & Dad met, before they had me." 😂
No no Jimi Hendrix played drums for Steely Dan everyone knows that!! They debuted with The Doobie Brothers supporting Ronnie Montrose on his first solo tour 🙄
don't you find it difficult to find any good deals these days to "arbitrage" as a dealer/reseller? i mean, with the advent of the internet, most sellers sort of know the going rate of their guitars. margins must be quite thin taking into consideration cost of carry, repairs, shipping, etc.
Lots of material for an excing video there. Unfortunately it's all going way too fast so that we don't really get to the the guitars or get to know much about them. Just too bad.
LOL back in the 80s Gibson guitar not the hot thing. I bought so many crazy Les Pauls for cheap 1959 Les Paul Custom for $125 bucks. I paid $6K for a 1960 Les Paul standard in 1986. Can't remember what I paid for my 1964 SG special like $2,200 bucks. Now days there are worth a fortune. If you come into my studio you can play them.
This Mike McCready thing needs to be addressed in the next video.
Wow, you don’t know who Mike McCready is. Damn, I’m old.
I know Pearl Jam courtesy of Guitar Hero just didn't know every band members's name 😅

@@bldallasyou don’t have to be old to know that. Pearl Jam are not elderly.
That cracked me up too.
@@Utube-s8min the 60s range my friend
Mike McCready is one of the guitarists from Pearl Jam, FYI.
Yes! We starting talking about that off camera!
😂😂😂😂
Really?? How young are you...
No, it’s not Mindy’s brother.
He also played with Lane Staley (Alice in chains) in mad season
I had to stop watching after he said he didn't know who Mike McCready is. I just can't condone that.
Pearl Jam used to be cool…. 😢
What caught my eye was that '73-'74 sunburst Strat you breezed by.
Good thing for my wallet that I didn't know about some of these shops when I was in Nashville.
My favorite place in Nashville to get gear is Paragon Mills Pawn on Nolensville Road.
I really love those Gibson sg guitars which they are my top best guitars that I ever played in my life.
New to your channel but really enjoyed the vid. I was moved by the Gibson Korina bodied Moderne at Carters (@12:18) an saw scads of amps to drag home.
Nice! Thank you so much for watching!!

This episodes was for me by far your best one. Gibson garage is absolutely the bomb 💣. My bucket list store for sure. Keep the good work going 🏆❤️

6:40 Y’all usually have too many Fenders and Gibsons, but I do love the colors on that Lead II…
The Gibson Theodore as pretty cool!
What a fantastic video, you guys are getting good at this…KEEP THEM COMING!!
Need to get myself back to Nashville soon, new Carter location looks great. Did they take the Orville Gibson made early mandolins and guitars off display at the Gibson Garage?
That red vintage esquire was insane! Mojo for days!
I love chilling and watching these vids 😀
I loved the '58 reissue that you played. Judging from your reaction, I guess that I do not want to know the price.
So many beautiful shops in this one😍
A great day 🙌
RIP Sam Ash
Super bummed to hear the news! Played my first Gibson at a Sam Ash store in Orlando
Why couldn’t it have been Guitar Center instead?!

I seen a friend of mine when you were at the Garage, Shane Rivers coming and going into the Custom Shop room!
That’s awesome, small world!
..and some amazing guitar stores in the neighbourhood!
Did you get to Drummers World on S. Church in Murfreesboro? They have usually have some used gear.
Cool video...have to ask, what is that sweet jacket you're wearing?
Concert Music is my favorite store
The 58RE Junior sounded nice and bright, they are expensive in the UK.
Wow so many shops with huge inventory. Oh by the way I’m Albert from Facebook.
Big fan of 64, 68 and 69 strats.
Spotted a moderne. Fantastic shape. Shame about the head stock.😎
Some sweet gear we saw !!
How was the traffic around Nashville?
So you are in Nashville and did not stop at Gruhn Guitars? You missed lots of cool guitars!
Did you get a case with the Fender Lead II? I have one.
Damn!!! I missed you guys by a week!!!
Lovin, the lead II.. had one sold it regret it
Have you tried a 2001 Peter Frampton Custom Shop? I love mine. The Richlite fingerboard is so fast : )
I haven’t yet!
11:06 is that Mike Bloomfield’s tele?
You’ve gotta check out Gruhns, while you’re there.
Favorite part was watching Alex drool over the guitar train.
How can you choose from all those?
Love your work 👍
I like that SG in Blue 👍
Yessss
What was the Mike McCready strat $$,,,???? Please reply.❤
The Mike McReady strat is bad ass!!
Yes!!!
Hotel cookie for the win. carters seems rad.
I like your honest opinions, there's something for everyone out there but it doesn't all gotta be your thing

DC is sick - how much was it?
What was your intro song?
The guitar player's curse: "I love this, that's the problem."
Jimi Hendrix? 🤔

Pretty sure all Fender Lead IIs are hardtail unless someone has had them routed for a tremolo!
A 73 explorer? Gibson didn't re release them until 76
Fuck yeah king park what a riff
What’s the ID on that Les Paul @ 16:43?
12:19, 3 guitars down. What on earth was that guitar with the wild headstock?🤷
Looks like the Moderne. I cant get jiggy with that one
The elevator music is about to run me off

Whats a Mcready?
Tremendous
Ummm he was in a little band called PEARL JAM!!!
Doesn’t know who Mike mcready. Probably has heard his playing a million times.
So happy to follow a channel that doesn’t constantly bash on Gibson like all the the others do
Ya!! The double cut junior was da bomb!!
Yessss
You've never heard of Pearl Jam?? Wow....
I know / knew Pearl Jam! Didn’t know their guitar players name until this video. Good memories playing Pearl Jam songs on Guitar Hero as a kid
Simi hollo Jag please. Whoa!

ha I loved you dont know who mike mcready is. saw them live 2 years ago in Nashville and the guitar was too loud and harsh.
Alex, I might have to unsubscribe after that McCready comment..
That blew my mind as well. Haha
I know Pearl Jam just didn't know every members's name 🤷♂️😭
I’m not subscribing just for that. You run a guitar channel know ur guitarists. Geez.
@@aflashfloodofgear Followup video with you playing yellow ledbetter and all will be forgiven bro.
I got the mexican mccready stratocaster. Fantastic guitar, but mccready is one of the most overrated players!
Considering your dealers, why try guitars wearing a jacket with a zip? Take it off!
You don’t know the guitar players in Pearl Jam? How about Taylor Swift or Lizzo?
I know who Mike McCready is, but really don't care. He's no Allan Holdsworth. 😁
Pearl Jam , Madseason! Wtf bro
You know who Billy Joe Armstrong is but not Mike McCready! Peace...out.
I think the Les Paul junior is too bright
Pearl jam !! Where have you been!!
