  • Hayden Moreau and Aubree Adams discuss psychosis and the connection to cannabis use.
Hyden has experienced 2 episodes of CIP (Cannabis-Induced Psychosis). He shares his experience and hope for healing on his RUclips channel called “Just Being Hayden” and other social media platforms. He gives peer support to others who are healing from mental health issues too. Hayden states, "My hope in sharing with you would be to inspire your own curiosity, creativity, and empowerment. Sometimes realizing you are not alone and seeing that someone has walked the path before you can give the encouragement you need to take the next step in your recovery."
Contact Hayden at: hmoreau@live.com or @hmoreau19 on Instagram.
Aubree Adams is a former Colorado mom, a mom to youth in recovery who mentors and gives support to other families experiencing mental health issues and/or drug issues. She is director for Every Brain Matters, a community of support, advocacy, and science that calls for a cultural change. The Every Brain Matters logo unites us and symbolizes both "freedom from marijuana" and optimal brain and environmental health. It is possible. It happened to me in my 20's. I had friends laugh at me because I was also getting panic attacks as well. Looking at this presentation is an eye opener. I am in my 70'a now
but I will never forget. Thank you for sharing ❤

Such an insightful dialogue. So grateful to both Hayden and Aubree for the work you both are doing to educate people so that all parties involved can learn to manage the cannabis induced psychosis and reasons people may or may not chose cannabis to escape or work on their anxieties.
So nice to hear that Hayden has learnt so much and he has a supportive community, his parents and his girlfriend that he can depend on has helped him through his recovery process.
Thank you both, once again for sharing this wisdom n life experiences.

Thanks for making this video I am a person who is recovered from heavy deep complex spiritual delusions the onset took years of self medicating with alcohol and marijuana mixed with denial I have saved from insanity by faith in Christ part of my faith is being willing to face today with a sober mind that in itself is scary without a belief that my creator is good and loves me and values the souls of all people if you are going threw this now hold on it’s ok to cry it’s ok to talk to people you trust about it after all it is fear based

If you are schizophrenic you can take cannabis products if you are on a mood stabilizer/anti-psychotic. SSRIs can also affect us, one study showed 8% of all users went into mania, and they only recommend SSRIs for schizophrenics who are on mood stabilizers.

I had to except that I could no longer trust my own thought process and have hope that if I live today sober with a clean conscience I will have done my part in my case I seriously believed there were people who wanted me dead so I excepted that at least if they took my life my soul would be in the hands of my savior this is the foundation of me being enabled to live a substance free life because in my sober mind I’m present to my faults which equal guilt and shame Jesus to me is Grace and mercy wich I am in need of even after 5 years of sobriety I make mistakes in the daily some times I go along with thoughts that are selfish hateful lust full sometimes they become words or actions by my choice if I am sober I can be honest and admit I took a wrong turn ask for forgiveness from people I’ve offended and God and ask to be changed further sometimes living a substance free life is lonely I pray when I pass convenient stores for power to not stumble all the memories of getting the substance step 1 admit you are powerless and believe a power greater than yourself can restore you to sanity

I agree cannabis psychosis is possible but also there is legitimate spiritual awakening , some of which Hayden describes...love and the fight against evil. Cannabis has been used ceremoniously in many cultures to assist in spiritual growth. However that is very different from psychosis that depletes a person energetically

@@tamzar2440 people experience violent psychosis from alcohol, adderall, and especially psych meds. So why can people get prescribed those in every state in America, but weed is illegal? Because a small amount of people suffer psychosis? You know what makes me psychotic, pain. Being in pain so bad and knowing there’s not a damn thing I can do about it. Knowing that everyone gets to walk around with attitudes and self care, meanwhile I destroyed my body working hard and failing in my early 20s.. it makes me grit my teeth and literally attack people. Drugs are the only thing to calm it down, and it’s not psych drugs, it’s controlled substances that help me.
