The Every Brain Matters community educates about the health and environmental dangers of marijuana and the drug culture expansion by providing support for families and advocacy, all based on science, including lived experiences.
The public is being deceived regarding marijuana products and their effects, like cannabis use disorder, cannabis-induced psychosis, and cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome, which has led to a public health crisis. No matter how much the drug culture expands, we will “Keep On Keepin On” because we wholeheartedly know that Every Brain Matters.
We believe policy should be driven by science, and the best harm reduction is drug prevention.

Parent Recovery Through Son’s Addiction & THC Psychosis
Thank you for sharing. Great information. We are experiencing this right now in our family. I am sick to my stomach and feel so lost.
i am looking for a treatment center in nashville for THC induced psychosis

I hate that you’re always putting these people in medication to get off pot. They all have black box warnings. I’d take pot over an antidepressant any day. With that being said I don’t use pot.
Heartbreaking and Beautiful. What a warrior!! Thank you for sharing this. Btw: I love his button!
The hose people who tell you to do it, tell them to fuck pff and walk away from them. They are evil and want you to suffer. Good job with everything else. I smoked once when I was a teenager and I was paranoid for a year after. I’m 51 now and never touched it again. You will get better but stay away from it and stay away from second hand smoke. No friends who smoke either. By the way I am a super cool and healthy 51 year old. 👍🤓🎯
Ethan. I would love to talk to you if given the opportunity Thanks for sharing your story. Keep spreading your message. You are truly a gift to the world. Your unfortunate experience is helping many others in so many ways.
People keep saying it’s not the weed o f the 60s. Weed of the 60s caused psychosis too. It’s always been a problem. THC is a problem, period.
I’m definitely going to send you all an email and talk about my experience and share my story because it’s SO IMPORTANT to spread awareness and get this education out there. I just wanted to say that that was also what caused my psychosis. It was a gas station “legal” THC vape pen that I purchased in White House, Texas, actually. After going into psychosis, they sent me to Shreveport Louisiana and put me in a mental institution for two weeks. Unfortunately, they tried to say that I was bipolar with psychosis. However, what they did not do was test me for drugs. So now I have it on my name that I have bipolar with psychosis, which is just untrue. You cannot diagnose somebody with that unless they have no drugs in their system, per the DSM-5. It was so horrific and I had a violent experience while in psychosis, as well as tried to commit suicide. This is a very serious matter and needs to be spoken up more. Thank you for doing programs about this subject, you are changing lives. What’s sad, that I also hope the parents can understand, is that yes, he will probably keep trying to use. It’s honestly the most addictive thing I’ve ever used in my life, and I’ve tried some drugs in my lifetime if I’m being honest. But nothing ever sent me into psychosis besides cannabis. That’s saying a lot. Nothing ever also kept me coming back like cannabis. I’ve been using cannabis regularly for 21 years, and daily for about 11 years. It never affected me like that (psychosis)… Until it did. I’ve been in psychosis twice from cannabis (yes I know it was from the cannabis, I wasn’t using any other drugs at the time), and I still continue to use cannabis because it’s that addicting. Knowing what could happen to me again, or that I could be schizophrenic for the rest of my life is really scary. I hope I’m able to quit soon. And I also pray for their son and for whoever else is going through this. It’s SO scary. The best way I can describe psychosis is like taking 25 hits of acid and having a bad trip. Everything that’s not real suddenly becomes VERY real. It’s so terrifying. I hope this helps some to understand. 🫶🏼
Hello , i really need help with this , my brother is exactly how you said you were , his relying so much on the “W” and so deep in the conspiracy theories, talking about killing himself and killing my parents ,lost all his friends because of this , he lost his sense of humour, his smile , his happy go lucky demeanour , i really want to help him and dont know how to begin

I had psychosis like this except it turned violent unfortunately and I was institutionalized. Praying this never happens to anyone 🙏 I also would love to share my story! HIPAA has been the Bain of my existence. There is an exemption in the case of “eminent danger or death.” I’ve handed copies of that law to psychiatrists, marijuana Doctors, lawyers and judges and was still not able to get help. They just say no, we can’t do anything because of HIPAA.
Thank you for sharing your story. I was smoking since 2018. I experienced weed induced psychosis in 2021 I had multiple episodes of psychosis from the weed initially then the bunch of antipsychotics I was put under from a horrible hospital in my area. The psychiatrist talked to me for less then 5 minutes and diagnosed me schizophrenic, put me on antipsychs that messed me up, and then I quit cold turkey with no symptoms. later around june 2022 I started smoking weed again and then in feb 2023 I had psychosis episode and got sent to a different hospital who took better care of me and diagnosed me with acute psychosis substance induced. But when I got back to the area I lived in I was still acting up and my fam sent be to that same horrible hospital that diagnosed me schizophrenic. I was on quite a bit of antipsychs that truly messed up my brain and made me made me feel like a zombie walking around and having a lot more delusion. I tapered off my pills this time and have since stopped weed. I got a job in feb 2024 and have just been working and coming home and slowly starting things I enjoyed before wishing to feel the sense of joy I felt before my psychosis.. But I am currently struggling with forming human connections & knowing who I am; I have since lost all the friends I had in 2023 and am feeling hollow/empty. I am hoping to feel like myself again I feel like I lost my joy.
I was never hospitalized, but I’m still struggling to quit.

Maaaaan I got chs. 🤦🏻♂️. I smoked everyday for prolly 10ish years. Outta nowhere I started cyclically vomiting every 10 minutes for 24 hours. It was too much for me. I’m done. I wanna be able to use this ish if I get cancer or something (which most of us will). Anyway, stopped cold turkey like 3-4 months ago. Something like that. I’ve withdrawn from much worse tbh but, I know ppl are addicted and that’s what it is. So, yeahhh it’s just not worth it.
Some people have a reaction to the sun. Some people cannot take aspirin. So? Your attempt to demonize marijuana is laughable. Spoken like a true big pharma shill. Pills he prescribes are 100’s of times more dangerous. 😂
Lady.. you’re presenting a personal gripe as scientific fact. Not sure what’s in the rocks you are smoking, but it ain’t weed
I know someone was watching an old video from a group of strikers agaist abortion..and he kept showing it to me with comenta like it was the end of the world..and i thoght he was just dumb..because i just remeber telling him..this strikes are getting old..that they just want attention..so i didnt put attention..to the weirdness...but once i found a small containers with green stuff that id never seen before. But yeah same behaviors this person also had a self sense of grandiosity and also commenting that even school staff was not to be trusted..i was so busy with work and dealing with All hes lies..that i didnt see the difference..

Great convo, great info. Doing the Lord’s work! 🥂
I was getting cannabis from a dispensary. I'd never touched it prior to getting my medical card. At first it helped. A lot. However, within a couple of years I was experiencing what I now know was psychosis.
Thank you so much for sharing your story. I relate to your experiences so much and even though I would never wish this on anyone, it's nice to know others understand on a deep level and that you're not alone through it.
I've lived through cannabis / stress induced psychosis twice in my life. Both times I wasn't aware of what was happening to me and experienced really scary, spiritual, demonic things. The second and most recent time put me into rehab for 6 months and has left me picking up the many pieces of my destroyed life. The rehab I went to is known as the toughest, strictest rehab in Australia. It's Christian based and I chose to admit myself there because I truly believed that Jesus was calling me away from my family and everything I knew for a better life as a disciple. There's much more to it but that's an important part of it, was the religious delusions and weird synchronicities that felt so deliberate and impossible to ignore. I was a heavy user for most of 6-7 years and have now been sober 7 months. I will never, ever EVER touch marijuana again. Or drugs of any kind, even alcohol. Once you go through those types of experiences, it completely changes you and is not worth the potential ruin it can bring you and your loved ones. STAY SOBER. X

I happened on this story and it is very moving. You are so eloquent and honest. The commentary from the gentleman regarding the polydrug driving is so clearly an aggressive clarification that I feel was so misdirected. The amount of people on "poly-drug" driving is a huge amount of the American population...and a person could get in an accident for a million reasons. I think intention is important and there are impairment issues where drivers are using neither weed nor alcohol and can easily qualify as a poly drug user. I've been pulled over for a speeding ticket and asked what medications I'm on. Technically, I'm on a few, prescribed by doctors, for health reasons regarding depression. In Idaho, you can get a DUI/DWI for driving while on one of the medications I take even though I've been on it most of my life. I think the lines are so blurry as to which medications or substances contribute "more" to impaired driving. I empathize with the families that have lost loved ones, regardless of how they die. I think this person is trying to help to share an honest opinion of his drug use to help others identify their problems so that they can help themselves before a situation like the car accident in this story. Accidents don't feel like accidents to every party involved especially when there is a sense of injustice. From personal experience, I know how helpless a car accident can feel. I've had my own anger to contend with, but blaming anyone that reminds me of the accident in my life... it would ruin me as unjustly as well. Advocacy can't be from a place of hate.
Do you do testing on the weed that parents confiscate from their kids that go into psychosis? I confiscated the weed, didn't throw it away because I think this should be lab tested to see what the hell is in it that caused my son psychosis besides the high THC.
My son has weed induced schizophrenia. We had a terrible weekend of psychosis after trying adderall for adult ADHD. I had to involve the pokice after he started waiving a loaded gun at the imaginary people in my dressing room in the middle of the night on Saturday. He stopped his schizophrenia med 7 months ago because it made him so sleepy. He refused treatment over the weekend and narrowly escaped an involuntary admit this morning only because I am a nurse and got him back on his meds. He was back to his somewhat normal self by this morning.

Towards the end of this video there was discussion of Toxicology reports. It’s very important to understand that in cases of chronic cannabis induced psychosis the psychotic symptoms can last for months even after cessation of use. In fact, sometimes the symptoms worsen dramatically during withdrawal. The psychiatrists should know that but many don’t!
I’ve read over 400 cases like Bryn’s, all very similar, horrifying and gruesome. 540,000 young people were hospitalized for Cannabis Induced Psychosis according to the 2023 CDC Morbidity and Mortality Report. Most end up in local mental facilities or in jail. All the studies, large and small, domestic and foreign, laboratory and field studies, all show the same results: 10 to 15% of users become psychotic! Please check out my video “The Horror of Cannabis Induced Psychosis - a Silent Epidemic.”
I agree w Judy - it was extremely hard for me
You can’t usually get them to Florida when they are in an extremely dangerous cannabis induced psychotic state, because they can potentially kill you on the way! It’s incredibly dangerous - and yet the local authorities will not and often cannot deal with it.
In which type of facility are the young going to ?
@@francer4149 usually a dual diagnosis.
One thing I’ve noticed in all these videos is the patient ends up on meds…meds are just another band aid. Cannabis actually helped me get off meds that made me basically manic. The best option is to let your brain heal itself not medicate. These parents seem concerned that the meds aren’t working for their children and they are absolutely correct. Medications aren’t NOT the answer.
... Bro wtf? You just wasted my time. Your psychosis was not induced by cannabis which is what I wanted to learn more about. You did DMT and likely have susceptibility to psychosis due to genetics. Make the title match that instead of wasting people's time...
