The difference is, if I rush into a job, I am not bound to it. I can go home safe to a family. If I rush into a marriage, I’m intertwining my life, sanctum, and family with someone I only know based upon their very brief maybe trustworthy word. I’ve watched abusive and adulterous relationships result out of that. I’m not saying a quick dating process will necessarily end in disaster, but I am saying on the whole it’s not wise.
Well based on what they’ve said, they love all but would never promote/ encourage behavior that’s against their religion, which yes, includes homosexuality and permanently altering the body/ systems God gave you

This is weird, I have some friends that are Athiests that have lived a longgggggggggggg life and been totally fine, married. I also have Christian friends who've been divorced. This episode is awkward. Why would God allow my Christian friends to become divorced?
Because people don't have to be 'religious' in order to be loving, empathetic, moral, respectful, forgiving and supportive - all things needed to have a successful marriage. I know this from experience - I've been in a loving, stable relationship for 30 years and married for 6 of those years. (I had to wait for the courts to allow us to marry, otherwise we'd have done it much earlier.) And God doesn't "allow" your Christian friends to get divorced - they make that decision on their own.
