You seems so chill while working. I'm just running all over the place, trying to get everything done in time when I'm at work😂
Hahahah.. Because it’s actually pretty chill in here :) I can’t wait to make a cafe vlog when we get back to normal state, it’d be quite manic..
loved the fact she always said 'thank you hot water!' before throwing them away. It's a nice touch for things often taken for granted
I'd say both barista's and chef's have some of the most demanding, stressful and underpaid jobs in the world. You need to love the work and what comes with it, as a succesful venue is a busy one. No easy days. I love your energy and spirit!
Thank you :)
Great energy, that coffee must be delicious.
I don't know what surprises me more, the fact that I started watching a cafe vlog or that I chose to keep watching cafe vlogs. All this multitasking is sort of mesmerising. I'd murder for a lunch like that. My home office canteen is shit.
barista must multi tasking any condition, fast, focus, and team work exactly
I love watching your videos so calming. Especially the early morning ones when it's still dark outside!
bruh i seriously can’t explain how relaxing this is
working in a cafe seems to be very challenging yet relaxing as well. isn't it ironic? or am i just the only one?
i recently worked in an independent coffee shop nearby my house as a barista. I struggled a lot because it is my first time working anywhere and my first coffee making experience so i am trying to improve my work flow to be more fast and competence. thank you for making this vlog, it reassures me a lot when you said it took you a long time to to multitask like this. hope to see more from you soon! -your fellow barista 💕
I want to become a barista when I retired and enjoy the rest of my life making coffe for everyone 😁
These vids are so chill I love them
Thank you Tommy!
This type of job, working as a barista, in the kitchen, in the galley, and any similar scenario entails a lot of experience. You have to be really systematic, organized, focused, patient, willing to adjust to any changes, and open to improving oneself. This job is physical and mental. You have to be one step ahead. But if you master it, it will come automatically, as if you are playing! Learned a lot as a flight attendant working in the galley, sometimes being asked to help in the cabin, chatting and being friendly, diffusing an unpleasant situation, running to the back to check on a sick passenger, monitoring that passenger drinking his third Scotch, watching out for a possible smoker in the lavatory, selling Duty Free, doing inventory, and taking care of the flight deck crew! It was exhilarating, but very, very exhausting due to the time zone changes and ultra-long-haul flights. Point is, I like watching you work, Laura. You are very hardworking, organized and clearly a very optimistic person. For some reason, your vlogs entertain and calm me. Perhaps I miss that rush, and I feel less stress being on the other side of the screen lol! If I were a barista, I would have loved to work with you. Keep smiling (too bad we have to smile behind our masks nowadays, though). New subscriber here!
uuuh... Yeah. If you work in a factory, and are not "systematic, organized, focused, patient, willing to adjust to any changes, and open to improving oneself", then you'll be missing an arm or a leg in no time.
Sometimes you're asked to help clean a machine, load up another one, resolve another's error state, help out your new coworker that doesn't know the machine yet, and so on.
And I'm not even a factory worker; I just noticed that when I walked through the factory floor at the place I work at.
I love to see you working in the middle of the rush! I used to be as skilled as you. I loved my job. Now I only teach the barista workshops, But I miss the rush!
Excellent work!
After the lockdown, I’ll pay you a visit to have lunch & coffee on the weekend. Love the professionalism of you in coffee. It’s people like you to make others starting a good day.
as a coffee lover and seeing how you're so careful making it, makes me want to grab some coffee there.
I was house cleaning and saw your vid and just seeing how you multitasking during rush hour made me be captivated. I lost track if time 😅
These vlogs are ao addicting! I know that coffee making is one of the more complex beverage making process, but going inside the cafe makes my head hurt because of the things baristas need to prepare, there are so many. Makes you feel grateful for every cup, you know. Thank you for the dedication!
Thank you, I appreciate it so much!
I like the way you look enjoying what you're doing 🥰& nice latte art too 💙👍🏻
5:55 the BGM beat together with the taps of the froth pitcher
Nice vid, subbed.
What skill should a barista have?
I'm not a barista but I worked as a concept store/coffee shop manager and the first thing I noticed, like 5min after entering the job the first day was the lack of organization and planning of the employees AND the boss.
The ability of multitasking comes after the skill of planning meticulously everything. And you clearly prove that in your video. You arrange every little detail so it makes multitasking easier.
The employees of the shop were trying to multitask but they were failing, in fact they were failing to even single task efficiently. So it was my job to show them how to do it by coming up with processes like you do. And I'm not only talking about the coffee shop but also the shop and eshop/web/communication parts.
As a concrete exemple, so many times the barista was doing other things than pulling shots, latte art and serving while I was bringing the dirty dishes and he was not cleaning those as I was bringing them so the counter was a mess, a real dirty mess and it would stay like that the whole day. It drove me crazy especially that customers would see it. When it was my turn to be the barista (including latte art) everything was pretty fluid, every task has to be managed to the end because interrupting it is in the end a waste of time. So I was able to be in the same time the barista, the commercial, the manager and the communication manager.
So yes first skill (and you clearly have it) --> organization+planning every little detail.
And to be honest seeing you working was a joy.
Thank you for this :)
Hahah..hardworker laura..🙂and her smiling face as alltime.....go great girl go...👏👏👏
you inspire me to have good mornings! Sending love!

Thank you so much!!
Pretty helpful to watch, thank you for sharing your routine!
You're so welcome!
I can feel you, here in our lobby Cafe at the Hotel in Dubai, around 200 - 350 order of hot and cold coffee drinks are being prepared during peak hours only, starts at 5pm to 8pm, and we open from 7am till 11pm no break
as a barista myself I think it's very important to love your job & not do it for the money because being a barista seems easy but it's not & if you ront live what you're doing than you're just gonna cause a problem for yourself & everyone around
and second I think having good social skills & knowing customer service is also very important as well as always staying clean:)
I’m also delicate in terms of cleaning areas specially with we’re serving foods!
i loves coffee and coffee shop vibes , loves from coffee lover 🤗
When i look your videos, i would love to start as a barista directly ☺️
Love watching a barista in action, even better when you explain what you’re doing! Will have to drop in one day, maybe after stage 3 is over!

This brings back a lot of memories! I was a barista and manager for about 3 years in the early 2000. I love those protafilter handles!
Traits I think a barista should have: multitasking, friendly, pays attention to detail. Gotta keep your area clean, totally agree!
Love this one!!! ❤️❤️❤️
The best cafe vlog I have ever seen!!!!!

Fellow barista here! I loved watching your technique on the coffee machine and I love the way you operate, might steal some of your techniques to use when I work next!

I can honestly say these style of videos is nothing like I’d typically watch, but something about yours makes me not want to look away! Great job with this one!
You’re too nice, Nick! Thank you so much! 💕
@@laurangelia you're welcome! lol and maybe talking to camera vlogging can help you make more small talk with customers!😂
Thank you for the great video clip. Your smile looks happy :)
Setengah jam, satu jam juga asik ditonton. Sekalian belajar mempelajari proses flow kerja barista, karena kadang masing2 barista beda2 multitasknya, dan itu yg menarik. Thank you. 👍
Makasih :)
Your Rosetta looks so good! Latte art is so hard. I'm not a barista (nor will I ever be one!!) but I loooove coffee. I tried latte art once and the fact that you have to focus on angling then lifting the cup at the same time as swirling the milk then doing the art is something I don't think I could ever do! By the way I love your vlogs :)
Thank you Mary for your appreciation! Indeed! This was something that I never thought I’d do too, but then again here I am :) Trying my hardest to master it, haha..
Thank you so much for making these! I have an interview to be a barista this coming week and it's really nice to see what I can expect
Good luck to you!

Muy buen vídeo de rutina saludos desde Bolivia 🤗🤗
I was watching another cafe vlog video and the RUclipsr wasn't communicating very well with her audience as she was making her drinks, so I got kind of bored. But with your videos it's so full of personality it keeps me engaged and I enjoy knowing what kind of person you are from what you show and what you tell us 😄
When will the Q&A video be up by the way? I've been waiting for it!
Thank you so much! :) It will be up soon!
As much as it is important to talk with your customers, it's also more important to stay focused and enjoy your work
