I always wondered about how you deal with sharks , have you e countered a great white out there ?
They are prevalent around nz , on the positive what a great show you have here , you got a lot off courage like all kayak fisherman, I'm old I prefer a boat haha , tight lines and thanks for your videos.

yea usually i just yell at the sharks lol. have had a run in with a small white pointer years back but it was relatively tame, just towed the kayak around for a bit before i cut the line.
thanks mate, tight lines for yourself as well

Nice Slimy Mackrel! Good work mate. Do you even bother bringing fresh bait for the hooks?

Thanks mate. I very rarely use dead bait, I almost always use lures and refuse to buy frozen bait. If I plan to use deadbaits I try to catch them fresh. Hope that helps

nice video man. livebaiting hasn't been easy. tried myself only to get a hammerhead. i would like to get a big blue/slimy mack haha would b great fresh bait especially for surfcasting. ur tip on the jighead sink rate is handy although i'll have to figure that formula out wen i'm out there again

Hammer heads can be like the plague when livebaiting, I've had days where I've caught over 10 in a row. Cheers bro
