- In this episode of Tackle Guru’s, The Fishing Gurus Podcast is former England international, Darren Cox.
Darren has an incredible set of match fishing accolades under his belt. He has fished for both, the England Feeder team, and the England Float team. Furthermore, he has also been crowned the Feeder Masters Champion and Parkdean final winner. This is why Darren is regarded as one of the best all-rounded anglers around today.
Aside from his angling, he also heads up tackle giant, Garbolino, where he has been responsible for bringing so many fantastic products to anglers all over the country.
In this podcast, Darren and Matt tell some tremendous tales from their own fishing lives. Including many of Darren’s notable match fishing accomplishments, and quite possibly, the best capture story we have ever heard on the podcast!

What a fantastic man, fantastic podcast . Well done
Always remember meeting Darren at fishing republic Sheffield when it first opened around 2007/2008. We had a club night there where everyone from our fishing club went down and Darren and Neil Machin was there. Darren talked to me all night, got me sat on a seat box and taught me how to sit holding a long pole and using a catapult at the same time. Totally changed how I fished that year and ended up winning my club season at only 13 years old against men. Darren told me to send him my results at the end of the year to let him know how I got on but ended up losing his phone number. Absolute legend!

I remember reading Ivan Marks book on float fishing and there was a chapter titled “Doing it Daft”!
Another fascinating pod case Mr Godfrey. On met him a couple of tomes and Yes Darren Cox is a gentleman and class act.

These are absolutely brilliant always want to listen to the whole thing straight off but often can't but the one thing I have realized as an angler is the amazing amount of hard work and dedication that these top anglers put in and Darren is another superb example. So many people I would love to see in the hot seat keep up the good work this could go on for a long time.

It was so good to hear Howard Robson get a mention . I moved from Lancs to Boston Spa in 2000 having never really fished a river . i was lucky enough to meet Howard through another member of BSAC shortly after joining and he couldn't have been more helpful to myself or young anglers on the bank . I would have caught barbel eventually no doubt but his tips sped up the process no end .
A session trotting for dace and chub with Howard behind you saying "didn't you want that one?" 10 times every run through was enough to drive a man mad but when he let you know you'd done something right it was praise from a man who had forgotten more about catching silver fish than i will ever know . great podcast thanks
I am not yet half way through this Podcast but can say it's one of the best I have watched on RUclips. Darren Cox in my opinion is not only a fabulous Angler and Businessman, but one of the nicest most humble guys I am proud to call a friend. Keep up the great work everyone involved.

Garbolino isn’t the most fashionable of brands but they produce no nonsense,does what it sez on the packet affordable kit!😎💪
What is the maximum casting distance for waggler fishing?Pls advice from your own long distance angling experience.
P. S. I am gonna feeding with spomb, cobra or other carp fishing tackles)). For fish bite- binocular fishing glasses. 20 gramms cralusso rocket float and 17 ft rod with 10-35 grams test.
