    The best thing about LR is that is soo easy. But that's also where the danger lies. I've been using it for many, many years and have my routines set up. But I still missed the 'colour' option with the radial filter, for instance....... ahhaha :)
    Thanks for showing us your methodes!

    Really great approach to that and it really makes the whole image. Great job.

    hello Yuri. I am not exactly sure what is happening when you go to the color/saturation pallet to adjust these lights. however, the result is clear and impressive. thanks.

    Nice. How do you erase away a mask that you apply. There's a way to fine tune a global mask like a gradient with an erase brush. Saw it once somewhere.

  • @StevenBrener

    Do you feel that you should also add some local noise reduction when boosting the exposure that much?

    • @YuriFineart
      @YuriFineart  8 лет назад +1

      +Steven Brener I haven't found noise to be problem if I go that far into the plus exposure on an already bright lantern. Noise usually is more visible if you just go 0.5 or 1 stop into the plus exposure but I would recommend you to just zoom in 1:1 and play around with the noise reduction slider in the radial filter and see if it works better with or without :)

    super video sir. Thank you very much. how about turning on light in videos in after effects. Can you do one of those?

    • @YuriFineart

      Thanks! I'm not using after effects currently, maybe if I'll pick it up someday in the future when I get more advanced with video, then I'll do a video about it :)

  • @allandavies1187
    @allandavies1187 8 лет назад

    Thank you Yuri' excellent it looked so simple yet a very effective technique. However, you did not show how you selected the colour orange and also how you increased the saturation of the colour. Am I correct in assuming that you chose the colour from the split-toning palette ? May I suggest when tutoring beginners that it may be a good idea to show all applications. But once again thank you...

    • @YuriFineart
      @YuriFineart  8 лет назад +2

      +Allan Davies No, I actually choose the color within the radial filter but my screen recording setting was set to only capture lightroom and the color palette in the radial filter was considered as an external window which it did not record... anyways the color option is right in the radial filter itself, the split toning tool can only add color globally :)

    how do i do this when i got no light in like the lamp is full black ?

  • @ravir5686
    @ravir5686 6 лет назад

    you make the photo in stunning beauty & art. I really loved the photo.
    1) Can this be done on any other semi-transcluscent martial butility without losing its texture e.g. paper lamp, plastic, acrylic?
    2) and hoe to add colour cast of that lit material to surrounding (walls(?
    3) How to add cove (indirect ceiling light?
    Can you do some tuts on real estate interior?

    • @YuriFineart
      @YuriFineart  6 лет назад

      +Ravi R thanks a lot :) 1. Yeah you can absolutely do that as long as you don't push it too far. Try working with the whites slider additionally to exposure. 2&3. use a larger radial filter witha bit of color and exposure over the rough area of the lamp

  • @MpchBrwn
    @MpchBrwn 8 лет назад

    Nice tutorial, but IMHO to make it look more natural, you have to take care about the light that those "fake lamps" project on the street.
