Ew Harry being deemed 'brand safe' yet Tana not be that is just another example of complete & total sexism, the gap, & the double standard we as women face in a society where men still have the advantage. It's not a debate or opinion, it's facts.
We easily get taken advantage of for our strong sense of nurturing once we become mothers, caregivers, which is the hardest full time job I've ever had-and it's a job that I got paid for to watch other children b4 I had my own, yet we're expected to be great as raising our own little ones without it being recognized as the most important life changing job we could do, or a paid job at all.
Tell me why then is being a caregiver to an elderly parent something you can get paid to do? Bc a man once somewhere had to do it or wanted to, and got it covered. Made sure it could be something they could make money doing that job even tho it's the same thing with the same people just reversed.
They still by large run things in our country, and turned the ability to take a moms kid away into a job a man could do instead of give them the help they need or consider that a worthy job. It would change the entire country. The kids would benefit & most women would feel more appreciated & recognized for what they do and therefore be happier and kinder to men, who'd benefit from an intimate, equal relationship where all parties are commendable, not taken for granted. There are always rhe exceptions for the horrible parents out there but either gender is capable of that and when intentionally hurting their kids, should not be allowed to do so or be supported but it happens now and would happen then but I'd like to believe maybe less so since stress would go way down. Anyways, Tanas being discriminated against as a women who's expected to behave & be more ladylike but hey boys will be boys am I right? 😉

Man I agree really with everything you’re saying. And I understand why you’d be angry. I’m not a straight man so this doesn’t really affect me. But I just think the tone and language has got to change if we ever expect to fix the gender wars. Men aren’t out here saying “muuahahahaha we control everything, I’ll get paid to take care of elderly people and women will rot for free while raising children” the energy is far too adversarial. If you talk to straight men about this with a level head I think you would be surprised with the amount that would hear you out and even agree with you. But when you’re straight out of the gate with the “men are all shit, burn them alive” energy- you immediately put those men on the defense. I’m saying this just because I see it CONSTANTLY. Men on one said yelling things about women and women on the other side yelling things about men. When in reality gender roles negatively affect both genders. Men and women are being oppressed by the same gender structure we have in society. And while it’s true that men set society in this way- no man living today set up the patriarchy. And in order to solve anything we need to start acting collectively rather than adversarially. I can guarantee you most men who work while their wife stays home would be ELATED to have their wife receive an income for the child care and home rearing they do. But we’ll never get a step closer to that reality as long as we use reactionary language

As women we don’t have to speak any type of way to appease anyone. We are allowed to be upset. We are allowed to be angry, frustrated and overwhelmed. We are allowed to be all of those things and show those emotions. It is not up to us to speak or comment in a “tone” that is appropriate to you.
The comment “no man living today set up the patriarchy” is crazy. The patriarchy lives because people continue to participate. It’s not up to the people being oppressed to fix the issue. This is applied to any situation where a group of the population is being oppressed or discriminated against for being who they are.

@kate-ec4pj I had my son at 19yrs old, kids are hard work, but then I wasn't rich lol and couldn't afford a nanny. But still, it's a lot. Enjoy your freedom while you have it. Once you're married with kids, life gets meh, lol.
Have a relationship for a few years and see how bored you get first.
But also if you want a kid go for it! Some people like to be young mothers.
The people who say this are always people that are blessed and already have children.
I get it. It is hard. but like there’s no need to say this. We DO run out of time to have children as women. It’s a fact. 25 is a perfectly reasonable age to feel like you need a kid. It’s natural.

Hi! I’m pretty sure the eye-movement therapy you mentioned is called “EMDR” (unless you’re talking about something different). My mom is a therapist and has been trained in EMDR and has actually had me through multiple EMDR sessions. It’s very gentle so long as you sort of reset yourself in the end, and it’s meant for desensitizing traumatic experiences and memories so they don’t harm you anymore. You actually don’t even have to remember the memory you’re working through and you also don’t have to work through anything specifically. It’s all done through your brain networking! It’s absolutely amazing and it’s done wonders for me- I am completely free of my ptsd and it only took like three months! (I love you both btw

I have been on suboxone for opioid addiction since I was 18 years old and I’m 30. Addiction is a life long journey and thank you for somewhat speaking about your addictions. If you speak on it and be real about it I bet that can help one or more of your viewers to get the help they need. On a lighter note: I do always say, “don’t do drugs, just smoke weed!” Lol😂 love you guys. You make my night most of the time! ❤

Ok EMDR (the eye movement thing) genuinely works and helps with the right therapist. It has helped me, my trauma, and my ocd SO MUCH. I was a huge skeptic and was like 'this isn't gonna work' but you literally start remembering things you forgot and think of things you weren't actively thinking of
Yes same! Helped immediately for my major trauma. Heals the root
same ive been doing it on and off for years when i feel its necessary id recommend it aswell...the only thing is its super draining and u will be more emotional after but thats just ur emotions being processed after being supressed.
EMDR is the best thing you ever happen to me. It has helped my PTSD so much. Anyone suffering from PTSD should definitely try it. You won’t regret it.
The therapy y’all are talking about is EMDR, it helps move memories to the part of your brain where they’re supposed to be stored instead the part where you’re reliving them. I did it for my PTSD and it immediately decreased my panic attacks.
I had a very very hard day and this always helps with my anxiety and sadness thank you both

I did the eye movement therapy! (EMDR). It was super helpful with the severe physical trauma symptoms, which now allows me to work in regular talk therapy on some of the relationship, social, and emotional issues related to the trauma! I highly recommend!!!!

I think Brooke was talking about EMDR therapy. Tana and Brooke both would heavily benefit from it since it's specifically for trauma and cptsd, which both of you have. It is life changing if you trust the process, and understand how it works.
