I 100% agree I always come back and listen to it every once in a while.
This is the type of playing and music that is keeping guitar alive. Gen Z and Millennials dont care about rock and blues anymore. This lofi/ prog metal stuff is what is going to get the younger generations to play. Aristides making these cutting edge instruments is helping drive the movement and keeping the craft alive.

We have one of these Aristides and I’ve literally never played a better feeling guitar in my life. The necks are SUPER thin, and the thing sounds amazing. Many people dislike the crevices in the body. The little pockets in the guitar do not hinder playability, but make the instrument lighter. As well, the thing sounds amazing and looks beautiful.
This demo is nothing short of pure beauty. Wish it was on spotify so I could listen to it whenever I want!

Just bought Guiding Lights and I have to tell you, wow, am loving it. Great guitar work. Reminds me of a metal/heavier version of the band Yes. I hate to make that that comparison but you guys do have the excellent musicianship and melodic content that is missing in much of today’s music. Excellent work!
Go for some solo in upcoming Skyharbor releases. Sound so good.

Hi, do you do custom forearm contour? or the forarm contour/body thickness comfortable enough?
+khoirus sobri I am not affiliated with the company. But I seriously doubt they will or can offer that at this point cause of the nature of the construction. They use aluminium molds to create the body, so those shapes should be set in stone for now.
That being said, the top is lightly curved. If that is comfortable enough? Only you will be able to tell if that would be comfortable for you. there might be some info on that out there though.
Thanks for the info :) i just a little worried because i tend to gravitate towards a guitar with forearm contour recently, and shying away from archtop guitars, because live, it is a much more comfortable guitar to play. However i know that there's some exception out there, such as Ibanez RGA i recently tried. so i just need to try it i guess, but that's a problem haha
+khoirus sobri I would just mail them. They appear to be very good with that. Perhaps they can provide some measurements or a guitar that might have similar dimensions, and one that is more widely available to see if you'll agree with the contour.
Although I would guess it not being completely strange in comparions to an RGA. Both seem mild carves with a linear slope instead of things you would find on a les paul.

Lars høk he would've recorded the song with that guitar so what's it matter? It's just convenient to record audio and video separately. And considering the intention of this video is to show off the way the guitar looks and sounds it really doesn't matter. This is a promotional video for Aristides guitars.

A flat noise, "in the push-up in Manic depression (Hendrix), I can not find / hit the Manic Depression effect. Everything sounds static.
The guitar does not cry anymore. Maybe chemical but not by the flesh.

bridge pickup is way too far from the bridge. it doesnt work for 7 stringers. sounds wooly and unpronounced,
Awesome guitars. Super lame song and guitarist lol. Sorry that was so cookie cutter and boring. Why dont people try to make their own music anymore. The few bands that do are great. Chon is a good example.
Kramer has tried it with aluminum.
Carbon has been tried.
All these guitars have failed. Also these guitars will be forgotten in a few years. You can also not build a violin or piano or gypsy or Spanish guitar on ufo material. Nothing can affect the quality of a living piece of wood, when can one understand this for once and for all ..
Well it's all preference, so if you like wood better, get a wooden guitar. If you like an aristides guitar, get one. Whatever floats your boat. Everyone has a difference taste.
Wood has the ability to transform varied structures into diversity, anything can affect this diversity. Oil the temprature the strings. A piece of wood consists of cells.

Freddie Iersel Yes you're very correct about that and I very much agree with your statement, but some people may like their instrument with the sound that an Aristides guitar gives, and they may want that same exact sound in 10 years. I think that we should both embrace the sound of both wood and plastic for they give different sounds, and that people may like their tone to have the tonalities of wood or plastic. I both love wood and plastic.

I think that although wood has great sound and it gets better with age, plastic is also great too because it's consistent with the same exact sound for a number of years to come. I believe what Aristides is doing is a great experiment in building guitars.
