Matt, I recently lost a friend to suicide this past July. He introduced me to you and your band around Shogun. To keep his spirit alive, I purchased my first guitar. The first song I'm going to learn will be one from Trivium. Even through the darkest of times, music is a huge release for me. Keep influencing the next generation. I appreciate you more than you'll ever know.

Been a trivium fan since I first heard the song blinding tears something something. One of the few songs that got me into metal core n all sorts. When I found out that you guys were like 17, 18 during the recording of the ember to inferno album, it blew my mind. Awesome guitar riffs, crazy drum tracks. Anyways long live trivium

It shipped that quickly?! Goddamn, that's nuts. I ordered a floyd rose bridge set for a guitar rebuild I'm working on and it's been sat in New York for the past four weeks. Dread to think of how long it's going to take to finally get to the UK
Also ordered a set of Hetfield EMG's and just got told a few hours ago that the EMG Warehouse in the UK don't have them so they've gotta come from the US so it's anyone's guess as to when they'll arrive

Asking insignificant bits, how do you like the Arium stuff compared to traditionally wooden guitars, Matt? I'm curious to hear your thoughts.
I mean, from weight perspectives, sound, feel on hands, etc if you could possibly give 1-10 rating perhaps.

I agree with that. I certainly can see the convenience and it's possibly an objective *upside* to not having a headstock; due to removing something that's prone to breaking and keeping the strings much straighter could improve tuning stability but... A guitar just looks so... Incomplete, without a headstock.

Personally i love the look of a headless. Hated them before but whaddayaknow they grew on me. Especially with 7 and 8 strings
@@iconiconiconiconicon yeah 7 and 8 strings are prety cool but man you have to stretch your hands a lot to reach all those strings it would take me awhile to get used to playing those kinds of guitars whatever you like or are used to playing is cool that's why I love that there are different guitars for everyone to choose from and play
@@BEAVISKORNHOLIO69 Yeah I hear you, it definitely takes some time to get used to the "extra" strings. The smaller form factor with this guitar and lets say Strandbergs makes the 7 and 8 strings seem more accessible since I don't have huge hands

Oh, and absolute beauty of a guitar, but not going to lie, I will forever be weirded out by guitars missing the headstock.
I talked with you at your merch table in Orlando at House of Blues New Year party with Sevendust and Blacktide in 2012. I didn’t even know who you were. I used to skip out on opening bands and just come in for the headliners. Glad I saw Trivium and Blacktide that night. This guitar sounds like death coming for us. Great job capturing such a ruthless tone.

What's the easiest trivium song to play? I'm slowly learning and can play a few Static X and System of a down songs so far. I can play small parts of rhythm on a 7 string to Chelsea Grin too but nothing major. Would honestly love to learn a whole Trivium song though. Been listening to you guys since your first album and your music holds a special place in my heart.
Dying in your arms and Built to fall are kinda easy, good song to start with in my opinion !

What's the difference between H/07 and H/07R?
The R means that there is no finish on the guitar. Aristides just builds the guitar out of their special sauce called "arium" and they can apply pretty much any color you want to it. I'm getting an H/07r cause the finished models are really expensive.

Right, it's a carbon and glass fiber "shell" filled with a kind of ceramic/glass foam that more or less gives you the resonance of a hollow body with the tone of a solid body.
Aristides guitars are known for how loud they are when not plugged in. They're just insanely resonant.
Also, the shell is one piece, so it's not like a bolt-on neck or even a neck-thru design, it's all literally one piece.
Prices start at 2,600 euros. Beautiful but you can get a fully custom guitar made for $1000

Dont like it. His sig epihpones are hella nicer and sound amazing. I this sounds like cheap mudd. Dont get me wrong, Matt could make a piece yarn and a box sound incredible, but not this. Too muddy, clarity sucks (imo). Im sure they ask some ultra ridiculous price too. I hope he sticks with his signatures. Way better investmet.
