Listening to this song, I think it’s easy to forget that it’s being performed by only two people. With two acoustic guitars and two voices, they created this incredibly engaging and chilling song and there is no sense of it lacking anything at all.

As well as their guitar playing, I love the way their voices harmonize, and the way Gillian's voice is so piercing over their guitar playing. Why aren't these two Mega Legends? You are right. It is not a murder ballad. It's about some drunken loner who tries to rape a woman. She saves herself by slitting his throat with a broken moonshine bottle.

I don't really know if this can be called country, but for the sake of reference I'm going to say this is country. I normally hate country musicians, I think as professionals they lack skill and effort. But this is simply amazing. I'm blown away by David Rawlings. Truly amazing... I've been thinking about getting a new instrument soon. Another guitar was not on the list, until now. Excuse me while I listen to this performance a 40th time.
