- Recently I have been receiving requests from many viewers for an updated tour of a tiny house converted school bus skoolie that I filmed in June of 2017 at the Tiny House festival in Augusta New Jersey. The video I filmed with Michael Fuehrer from Navigation Nowhere since has reached over 3,000,000 views. I decided to reach out to Michael for a new tour of his awesome rig. Michael reviews some of the upgrades he has done to the 2004 Thomas Freightliner school bus and how he has been using it over the last 2.5 years since we visited him previously. Michael also tells us some big news for future plans and projects. Check out this awesome Skoolie tour.

So awesome to meet up again and do an update video ! Thanks for stopping by and filming again !
You are welcome. You are one awesome dude. 👍🏽
Navigation Nowhere amazing!!! Truly awesome and nixe guy!
Thanks for letting him speak this time 👍
Thank you for appreciating
Amen lol
I came straight from the original video and its super obvious Michael is much more comfortable talking about his bus. He's much more cogent of whats important to mention and talk about.
Thank you very much.
Michael's comfort is also the result of Patrick's growth in interviewing technique... that is to allow those he interviews the time to think and express their thoughts. The first video interviewing (interrogating) technique created a sense of pressure that was not conducive in allowing the smooth flow of ideas.
Mike hasn’t changed one bit. He was a good talker back then. He just couldn’t finish a sentence without being interrupted and that put him on the defensive. He was anticipating being interrupted.
I like the fact the table is hidden away and can be used when required.. proper chill out area as well as dinning area..
Very thoughtful
Loved that he actually gave Michael a chance to speak this time!!!
Thank you for the support
So glad you did an update video and well done on listening to suggestions from the last one about not interrupting. The old video was the first on the channel i watched and was going to skip over your channel due to the style of talking over, under and around people. So glad you suggested in the comments to check the updated video.
Thank you very much for taking the time to watch the new video. 👍🏽
The Navi is definitely one of my favorite bus layouts .....I know some people like TV etc ...but I liked that he thought about people ..talking ..dinner ...games etc .... and handing it over to his parents in pristine condition edition is beautiful....I am sure they will have great adventures ad well ....Loking forward to the new build ...Thanks Patrick ..🌟
Thank you Clark. He definitely was mindful for others
Nice update and GREAT bus can't wait to see the "short bus" completed. Thanks Patrick
Thank you Tim
I think l've seen Micheal many times on Dean's channel. Wow that bus is amazing. Big & beautiful. Will follow on the new project. Thanks Patrick.
Thank you Kat

Thank you Rita
Rita, your the minimalist expert. Your an amazing women.
Rita Rocks. 👍🏽
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures Awe Thanks. I want 🏕🔥 at 500K🤩
We will get there. Then we will film an update video this Spring.
Definitely a beautiful bus! We fulltimed for over 10 years, but all in travel trailers and a Class C. No Solar. If we had it to do again, we'd definitely go with solar and possibly with a bus. Inspiring!
Thank you Lisa.
Shit the bed!! Justin Timberlakes gotta skoolie lol 🤣🤣👍👍 Seriously what a charming & humble lad, his done an outstanding job 10/10 sir!
Thank you for checking this out

Thank you for checking this one out
ive been following this young man for awhile now < he is a DIY Skoolie building genius !!
Nicest bus I’ve seen.
Thank you Barbara. More bus videos here
The fact that you did not interrupt him this time and actually let him speak made me subscribe.
Thank you very much
Love this bus! If it had a handicap door near the front, I would jump up if he ever sold it. Smart guy and amazing job for any bus conversion, let alone the first one flying by the seat of your pants. Thanks for the update!
Rebecca thank you for watching the update video
Hey Patrick! Absolutely love your channel man! Thanks so much for sharing this video! I remember watching your first review on this bus...you did a great job! My wife and I really enjoy that you show New Jersey...keep up the fantastic work!
Thank you very much. It was important to reshoot this to wager feedback on what worked and what didn’t
I'm so impressed with this build and with you also young man. Good job, enjoy your beautiful home!
Thank you 🙏🏼
Wow congrats! Just watched the old video and this one! The transformation is amazing!
Thanks so much!!
What an awesome bus...he did a great job....I’d love to be his parents, and get to drive and live in that thing for a while.
Thank you Robin
Great update video (even though I saw the first one two months ago). Can’t wait to see his new bus.
Thank you very much Colin.
I love Michael's videos. Been watching them for awhile.
He does a great job.

Thank you very ,much.
Absolutely gorgeous great job
Thank you! Cheers!
He is now converting a smaller schoolie, Navi Jr. which I look forward to watching soon!
Yes that is mentioned at the end of the video
I just realized who you sound like .::
Ray Romano. Just bought my bus!! Starting build this month.
Awesome bus! Love the deck! My suggestion would be to add a fence around the deck to prevent an accident of falling. Besides that, outstanding job! You really put a ton of work in your school bus home! :)
Excellent presentation. I love your electrical sourcing. Build me one with lots of wood. Lol.
Thank you very much
Thanks for sharing. Love the bus.
Thank you very much Barbara.
Awesome! Thank you Patrick for having Michael back for an update on how his bus did after a lot of miles and the ware it had on the many upgrade structures. And, hello from Tucson here. I was born and raised in "Jersey", and you look familiar, but maybe I know your father or something bc I'm sure I'm more his age. You are probably one of my son's ages. And since I don't know where in Jersey you're from, maybe not. But!!! Michael is from my neck of the woods! And I just happened upon your vid, so when you said in the beginning, that you were in Augusta, N.J., well then I just had to watch the whole thing! Hey, no offense, I usually have been checking out mini homes, container, mobile home stuff, but you know what, you peeked my interest along with my 3 sons. So, thanks so much and I'll be following you now that I ran into ya. Oh, by the way, I guess I can say I went to High Point Regional H.S., class of '74. Maybe your parents know someone from that neck of the woods in Sussex Co. Catch ya later!
Thank you for watching. My parents were from Nutley class of 66. Please check out the update video of Michaels bus in my channel
Really beautiful home. Love it.
Thank you Valerie. Did you know we have many videos like this here?
New Jersey Outdoor Adventures Yes, I’ve been watching !
You remind me of Ray Romano so much lol! Love the bus, love the channel, great job 😁
Thanks for watching!
other vid is at 4.2 million views, grats!
Thank you 🙏🏼
Awesome bus. The only thing what I would change to swop the toilet with the shower space.
Thank you for watching and for the suggestion. Please subscribe for more videos like this video
excellent video!
Thank you Mark
Nice build 👍
Thank you Keith
I really like this kind of videos. I hope i can build one in the future.
Thank you for watching
This such a great build.. love it!
Thank you for watching the update video
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures you do a great job! Please keep it up.
Thanks Jay
Love it.
Thank you very much
Much better 👍
Thank you very much
Very nice. I really enjoyed this video. I'm glad the cameraman was more quiet this time 🤭
Thank you Jon
Michael you did an awesome job on that bus renovation. The only thing I would look into adding would be some sort of kitchen exhaust above the stove / oven. This would definitely reduce odor, smoke, and fumes buildup while cooking. It would also go a long way towards keeping the wood ceiling from getting discolored by airborne grease particles and smoke etc...
By the way, I watched the original video of your bus just a few minutes ago. Not sure if y'all realized you had a trespasser walking through your house bus while you were on the roof talking at 21:40 - 21:41. You can see him through the skylight lol
Thank you very much
Dude is a vet, the first video the first time I watched I thought he was an asshole. I rewatched thought he was an asshole, then I realized he just knew what he was talking about, and wanted to get the important info fast. Either way awesome making an update, cool build.
Thank you for giving me a chance
Great build! Wondering what type and color paint you used for the exterior? I'd like to use this exact color.
Cool video! Looks awesome!
Thank you. Are you considering a Skoolie?
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures not really, but always wanted to see one.
👍🏽
great!
Thank you 🙏🏼
The clock on the wall by the stove needs a battery :)
Nice catch.
I want you to build one for us! Probably couldn't afford it. But, that is just a wonderful build, so talented!!
Thank you Susan
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures you know, I think you are a very good videographer as well.👌
One small you outdid yourself great video my thing is how much does a bus ride that cost to buy used can you give us a frame Let It Snow.. because if you go to RV with looks like a boss like that for the loaded you look like $250,000 that same bus same size do it yourself 15,000 you save a ton of money.. this is why I can't stress it enough DIY is the way to go guys DIY clear and simple..
He did save a lot of money doing his own build
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures that's exactly what I'm talking about this is why I was pushed DIY on my channel heavily..
Very cool build. But how did he get the oven inside? The main door doesn’t look big enough. Maybe the rear before it was finished?
Yes, the rear door.
Nice rig . So how are your tanks heated. I'm new.
I am so ready to get on the road I just need to finish my van and we'll find someone to go with
Thank you for watching. Good luck
Very cool bus conversion but why is it actually 100 percent empty??
Really really nice 👏🏻👏🏻 Thanks For video.
We want like this caravan🙏🏻 is it possible to share this caravan's project?
Yes, sure. Check out Navigation Nowhere.
He reminds me Joe from You on Netflix.. lol
(Style & how you talk)
I’ll have to check it out. Please subscribe for more videos like this
Follow both of you
Awesome Leslie
What year is the bus ?
That's the cats meow
Thank you Todd for watching the update video
جميل انيق جداً. ياليت في ترجمة 🙏🏻
I’d be interested in knowing what brand of dry flush toilet is in the bus.
Me too.
Great video! Im on Long Island any idea where used buses are sold?
Check gov deals website
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures Many thanks!
👌🏻👌🏻
I forgot to ask, What was the water he said was getting on the floor? Thanks!
From the kitchen and bath area from normal daily use.
👍
Thank you for checking this out
It still looks new even after 2 1/2 years of use?
It does
PARICK hello, so you did another not, on this bus, Do you know how much propane he has ? The stove & I believe the heat ? Thanks again , BTW THOMAS school busses are owned, by the same company that owns FREIGHTLINER,,,, BERCEDES BENZ , I see regular license plates, do you know how it is registered/insured here in NJ ? Cheers From NJ 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you for watching. I am not sure of those specifications
Do you have any information on legality in full time living in a converted bus in New Jersey? Is it legal to live in a converted bus full time in new jersey?
There is no law that prohibits living in a bus full time. The law dictates where you can park it
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures thanks! would one have to visit local coutrhouse to find out about the laws on where you can legally keep it?
Can you tell me when next tiny house festival will be in New Jersey???
I don’t see anything on the schedule for 2020
Thank you
Greatly appreciate
If you see anything in our area please let me know
❤❤🚞
Thank you
I love you
Thank you for watching. Michael loves all
I've had this notion for 20 years. How much was the total cost of the conversion, including the purchase of the bus?
Thank you Mike. Costs average about 20k plus the cost of the bus. Many more tour videos here
According to the original video posted 3 years ago (ish), this build cost $20k which INCLUDED the price of the bus (which was inexpensive as it had a lot of rust and engine issues).
He changed the faucet
Why is he not living in the bus anymore?
Cool! How tall are you? What's the height of the roof?
5'10". Got it. But how high is the center ceiling?
6’1” is the believed ceiling height
Was wondering where he went too
He is very active in the Skoolie and tiny house community
I turned my school bus into a workshop
I miss your voice Patrick
Visit OakLakeTrails just west of Tulsa nude country club
Sure
Notice how quiet the interviewer is on this video after he got roasted on the first one . Lmao
Notice how many videos I did sine the first one and how I was willing for improve
Well that snide comment says so much more about you than Patrick who strikes me as a hard working you tuber, learning his craft and producing excellent videos.
Dude, fix your basketball hoop!
Needs some work. But the bus is coming along well.
Put a door in your bedroom
Ah
Seatbelts for passengers? Assuming nothing..but...then again... School busses never have em anyway...
Oh you talked alot less. Just an observation
Yes, thinks progress and improve over time
you need a new shower head
