Thank you for this video! I am having this operation in 5 weeks and am so nervous. It’s obviously going to differ slightly to yours as I live in the UK but seeing another women go through it and discuss it so openly is refreshing and reassuring!x
Best of luck Mikki. I hope all goes well and you have a speedyand healthy recovery 🙏❤. Pillows will be your best friend and get yourself a good book or Netflix series to binge! 😘😘
@@veronicawatling7753 Hello, yes I had it done in November. I did have complications which meant a longer stay in hospital, 4 weeks at home with a catheter insitu, a UTI then an infection in my wound but luckily being a healthcare assistant of 10yr are meant I knew how to care for myself, signs to look out for and what was happening. My recovery was hard but after week 6, I started feeling much much better. Good luck to you, I hope everything goes well and you have a speedy recovery!
Hi Kendra, I’ve just discovered you and have really appreciated your Aussie curly girl tips. I hope that you’ve fully recovered from your surgery and enjoying life once again. Love your positive energy x
Hey Kendra! Hope you're feeling a lot better. Thanks for posting this. Very informative. (ps - you might want to reedit this to blank out your medicare number)
I just did this op last week , my biggest struggle is getting in and out of bed . Already felt a huge difference after my op . Thanks for posting this video .
I am 4 days post op, if I'd have known how hard it is to get in and out of bed I would have hired some kind of crane to lift my top section 😢There's not enough women talking about this. Hope you are feeling better now.❤
Kendra- thank you so much for this video!❤ Would you care to create a brief follow up video to let us know if the surgery worked as you hoped it would?
Hope you are doing well. I always take a thermos to the hospital with me, that way I can ask for hot water for my tea, without having to bother staff repeatedly. I would like to have the same operation, but my Urologist only suggested Butamid, I'm a bit leary about it, so may change my mind. Polyacrylamide has been known to have problems when used for medical bulking purposes.
Hey Kendra how's it goin mate? I've missed ya posts, hope you've recovered ok an ur doin great. I'm hoping we'll hear good stuff from yas soon, take care mate! 🙂❤️
Thank you for this video. I just had this done on Thursday and am trying to gauge how long I'll be feeling this way. It hurts to cough and laugh still pretty bad...I'm up walking day one...was released same day bc my yield was successful. If I may ask, how old are you? I am the youngest patient my surgeon has ever operated on and curious to know how many younger women like us are having this same issue. So happy this was successful for you and again thank you for the vid.
Hi Ax, Im so happy that you're up and feeling well. I felt pretty sore for about 2 weeks and then could function slowly then after. I took a full 3 months off exercise and returned to crossfit after. While I still cant do really high impact things, i can run, skip and jump for the most part!! Hang in there hun, dont rush your recovery and remember to drink LOADS of water. My gyno said I needed to 'retrain' my bladder after surgery. Ps. I was 35 when I had the surgery.
@@KendraWilson Yes, it's been two weeks for me now and I'm feeling pretty good. Back to doing basic things and have been for right at a week. No exercise etc until the 6 wk mark. Thanks for responding. Hope you're well.
Hey! I had this op 7 days ago! I’m still not able to empty my bladder properly. Flow is slow and I need to intermittent self catheterise!!! Did your bladder function return to normal quickly? I’m feeling nervous at my recovery!
Hi Holly, im sorry to hear your worries about your recovery. It did take a little while until I felt I was comfortably emptying my bladder, but dont let thay discourage you. Drink heaps and heaps of water so your bladder can get used to stretching and recoiling again like normal. Best wishes for your recovery 😊
@@KendraWilson Let's hope for the best! I am a candidate for the TVT mesh surgery but it turned out that it is a procedure that can bring severe health problems. Does the Burch Colposuspension procedure have the same risk? Don't talk to me about leaking pee. I can't actually leave the house without wearing at least a pad!
How are you doing now that its beena while? I am having my procedure done on may 5th and I have not found many personal stories with this. PLease let me know!!

Hope your recovery ok. Are you still doing curly girl method. Are you going to do anymore videos

One million dollar question: was the surgery successful? What was your situation before?
