I'm not sure if you read the comments this far out from the drop but I'm curious about the gameplay of your brew. I have been tinkering with my build almost nonstop for a week now and I'm not sure about the levels of my creature types. I have all my card draw in my creature slots, as well as my ramp as well. I'm just not sure I have enough game enders in the deck. I would love to hear more about the deck if you have some more gameplay.
Finally a commander that lets me put in one of my pet cards…Norin the Wary. I know it‘s an odd one, but I run a pinger build with Agate Instigator,… and the triggers with welcoming vampire really push Norin :) Ever thought of Duplicant and Solitude?
I find that Arabella, also from Duskmourn, is a great card to throw into this deck too! If you're able to make an infinite amount of balloons, simply attacking with Arabella drains all of your opponents life. What a fun commander Jolly is!
if you have infinite balloons then you already have infinite damage hahaha, I guess she would get around a fog. I think Jolly Ballonman is better in Arabella than Arabella is in Jollly Balloonman but they are both super powerful cards. Duskmourne had awesome Boros commanders!
@OnlyLands-MTG That is true, I got a bit ahead of myself there 🤣 Maybe if there was another player who had a ton of creatures, it would be a way to get around actually fighting those creatures or something. You brought up a good point!
Aiden, I just saw the backup commander from the Death Toll precon named "Rendmaw, Creaking Nest," and I instantly thought of you Grismold commander giving out tokens that are goaded for the rest of the game. He doesn't get a buff from them dying unfortunately. But there has to be a way to pump those birds send them at each other and then on the 1v1 just sac all of their tokens to ruin their day.
I saw him too! looks really interesting for sure. I sadly don't think I have enough cards with 2 types to slot him into grismold but I definitely think you could do a similar false gifts style of deck that leans harder into the aristocrats side of things instead of voltron! Maybe I'll throw a list together :)
Had someone on MTGO use this and would have won. I only won by luck since I was able to burn down the other two opponents so I could swing the birds at him on my turn. Didn't help that I had JBM deck and had token doublers so I had way more birds than everyone.
so with agrus kos, if you have nesting dovehawk and your commander out, you use jolly balloon man to target agrus kos, you pay the 2, now you have a token copy of everything that needs to be sacked at end step. 2 nesting dovehawks, both target agrus token on combat (whether original was sacked or the legend rule not applying with cadric) so now you end up with 2 more copies of all creatures you had before and now those ones dont need to be sacked. That's GROSS I LOVE IT
@@OnlyLands-MTG smack on your trigger doublers (throne, delney, panharm, elesh) etc and it just becomes a kill on siight or concede. Fucking love it building my own jolly balloon now
@alexliang1040 yes I actually brewed around using him on other people's turns originally but then realized that and had to edit the vid. Guess I missed one part whoops!
yeah it was so funny because I was thinking wait this guy is just better in every way than the other copy style creatures where is the catch? the sorcery speed was the catch hahaha just forgot to read the whole card.
@@OnlyLands-MTGYou and me both lol. I got so excited when i saw all but the last line. I still think he's very very strong though. I'm having trouble deciding between him and Zinnia, i almost feel like this is stronger because Zinnia is so freaking mana intensive (even with your strategy of artifact creatures), and without something like Cloudstone Curio out, you're getting 1 token max without doublers, whereas if this sticks around, you can get many copies. I'm really having a tough time deciding though :( I'd love to run things like Ancient Gold and Copper Dragon here but they seem expensive mana wise. I also want to run things like Fury and Solitude. Both seem so hard to settle on lists for :(
I’d actually really love to see your take on a NON budget (not Cedh) version of this deck. I think it’d be quite strong but I’d really like to see some other ideas before I try to settle on a list lol.
@@anthonybalista7421 Yeah it's probably a lot easy to get value the turn you play the Ballon Man. Zinna you have to play then get value from the next turn most of the time. If you wanted to add high cmc creatures include stuff like sneak attak!

oh yeah solitude should de be in the list hahah
Great video! Definitely really interested in running Balloon Man in all sorts of decks.
Thank you! glad you enjoyed! He is super versatile

I built this deck on Arena day one. I love it. The synergy is insane.
It can really pop off! pretty nutty commander! I wish it didn't have the sorcery speed restriction but that would probably be too good hahaha

Marvin?
marvin would be a great include

You can’t activate The Jolly Balloon Man on other people’s turn because it sorcery only.

you're all simps if you subscribe to my OnlyLands
