Patience is not ability to wait, is the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting in situation we can't control. - mino baki
For real? This dude just threw a baki at us? 😂
what's your problem? 😑@@Shinclair1987
Fucking Baki 😂

truly love this quote
1 thing for sure that I've learned about Jakarta is that it's not for everybody. But if you can survive Jakarta then you can live anywhere in the world.
That’s very true 💯
No man, jakarta is relatively easy, and the people are friendly and helpfull. There are a lot of place around the world more dangerous than jakarta.
@@revideaperspekta839for real, I can imagine Latin America is much worse
@@revideaperspekta839 man I knew it 💀 imagine Latinos
I survived live in Jakarta for 8 years, but I don't think I can survive 8 mins in Gaza
This is so relatable to me Mino, thank you for making this video.
I’m an Indonesian expat living in the UK and just started living here for a few months
Your point number 3 hits close to home
Being lonely abroad is very different in its entirety than being lonely in your own country
Thank you again for making such an insighful video 🙏🏼
I feel you man, you got this, it ain’t easy to be living abroad far from home, but the outcome is worth it ! Enjoy every step even the toughest ones especially the toughest ones, they will teach you a lot ! Stay blessed and I wish you all the best in the world mate 🙏🏼
@@mino_baki Amen, inchaallah 🙏🏼 stay blessed for you too brother
As an Jakartans, I can only smile through my day:')
Keep smiling
Your story reminds me back in 2013 the first time I study abroad in a small city in Australia which 180⁰ different from Indonesia. The time that I had to cope with the loneliness, adapting with their culture, even randomly met fellow Indonesian felt like finding a lost long lost sibling. It was a memorable experience being abroad not knowing what to expect.
We got the same experience but in different countries ! I’m glad you make it through 🙏🏼
"In order to find the right person, you need to be a right person."
That's so deep, man. It's really hit my heart.
I’m glad it helps you ✨✨
Talk and Ask if U need some help when 🇮🇩, we always open hand to every body
Bless you, sangat appreciate ! Semoga Km selalu suksess yaaa
1:06 Paris metropolitan area ( aire d'attraction de Paris) which has a population of 13 million. Jakarta itself has a population of 10 million but Jakarta metropolitan area (Jabodetabek) has a population of 33 million. The second largest metropolitan area after the Tokyo metropolitan area which has a population of 40 million.
2:11 just Java , Bali , Madura and Lombok men. We still have space in other island
I was born and grow up in jakarta. As Jakartans I feel I Have ability to adapt more, when I move for wander about to other province and other country

Thanks for those wise words you said man. I’m about to start my journey outside Indonesia soon. And it terrifies me, but heard those words from you make me realize that there’s no easy thing we can get when it comes to a totally new strange place…we have to control our emotion so that we don’t get overwhelmed by our new sorroundings.

this is pretty much my experience too being an Indonesian Expat in EU. maybe the 2nd one modified to be "Being more Patient to Other people" or in other words, being Tolerant. you chose one Hell of a City to discover yourself man. Glad you learn something from it.

My parents was struggled when they had me and my brother while still as a doctoral student :") but Thank God, we received infant food aid from the gov ❤
Wow what a story ! Your parents are amazing ! And now are you in France or Indonesia ?

Jakarta = The City that test you to your limit

Me = I'm really thinking hard about moving back to bekasi now. I miss Kuningan City
Born and raised in Jakarta and had to move to Bali for work for my first ever job. Nope, idk why but I still choose Jakarta, moved back to Jakarta and start working here again, happier
Jakarta has a very special energy somehow

Merci beaucoup ! 🙏🏼✨
Awal reformasi (98-2012)
very good video bro,,
Thank you so much bro
The best teacher is an axperience lifes , go go mino will be better
Very true ! Thanks for your comment !
I hope you enjoy living in indonesia the country tourist site is decorated and glitter with fake gold and shiny paper object the truth is indonesia is very harshed for native and for expat god willing you have enough money dude
🎉❤🎉❤🎉
Patience itself won't be enough. You need to be steadfast as well. Well, that's two different words in English, but we might only have one word in Bahasa Indonesia; which is 'Sabar.' But, 'sabar' itself needs more meaning and more energy to practice especially in Jakarta. Glad you survived all this time. Because for me, I need lots of gratitude for Jakarta. I was building up my career in software engineering in Jakarta, I met my future wife in Jakarta, I rented my first house in Jakarta, and I had my first car (well) in Jakarta. Even when I moved away from Jakarta, I still had my commute to Jakarta. There was a time when I had to commute for 5 hours in total (round trip) from Bogor to Slipi (West Jakarta) in 2019. Thanks to Jakarta, I'm able to build myself up until this very moment. Right now, I'm living in Tokyo. While it's obviously a better city than Jakarta. But I won't forget about Jakarta, I won't be ungrateful for all the lessons I had from Jakarta. Once again, I'm glad you found a meaningful life in Jakarta. And thank you for reminding me about Jakarta.
You’re absolutely right ! I relate to everything you said, expect the car and the wife part hahha. Jakarta was and will be forever the playground that help to become a real man ! I wish all the best in Japan ! Stay blessed mate

Yes I am

Aaaaaaah teman dari NTT Apa kabar kalian disana ?
I love it...
Thanks a lot
Thanks for sharing, considering moving after 10+ years in north Asia (China, Korea, Hong Kong). Never visited Jakarta, just east Java and Bali. How much does the daily commute impact the everyday life?
Very nice move, transport in Jakarta is getting better even tho the traffic is still chaotic ! All depends on your location, I would advise you south Jakarta ( top area for MRT accessibility, choice of food)
@@mino_baki thanks for great advice, might go for a small pre-visit in February, heard it's improving! 😊🌞
Mais it’s worth it ! Best of luck !
Anda orang yg pintar ,jadikan lah kita saudar ,kk adik
Next exploring to skywalk Senayan park of Jakarta city ❤️❤️❤️
Why not 🙏🏼
Keren si,,welcome then 👍👍

Thank you so much I appreciate you 🙏🏼✨
I was born and grew up there. We had to move to Surabaya because my father got transferred. I was heartbroken when we left the city. But, little that I know it was for the best.
Jakarta is very special ✨
keep spirit man
Thank you so much
My husband was grew up there for 25 years since early 90s, the Soeharto era, through 98 riot till 2005. Then he moved KL & Singapore then Bali back to jakarta again then now in we're staying in Jogjakarta. He told me "Jakarta today is slightly softer then when he was there. The 90s and early 2000s era. Not much different, just less preman tukang palak and have busway & MRT. It used to be gangsta. You shoot video on street guarantee rob lol" He said again "The most thing I hate about Jakarta is the traffic jam & the air quality. It worsen than 20 years ago." and then "The most thing I love is the food. Been around the world, & Indonesia none beat Jakarta foods" . "I need peace quite & tranqulity, thats why I'm in Jogja now"
Your husband is right, the air quality is pretty bad ! however Jakarta has made a great effort on the infrastructure, for business and work is the right city. But for living I will definitely pick jogja as well ✨
True ❤
🙏🏼✨
The further you go, the richer you will be...about life...👌
So true !!
As a Jakarta born, raised and living in, I only want to say, get yourself closer to God when you're in Jakarta. Because you really need extra strength to live here
That’s very true ! I appreciate your comment
In 1:38 that is where my office is and cross this bridge almost daily
Me too « high five »
Me as an Indonesian actually are still learning until now. Indonesia have a many race and many culture.
We are forever students !
Sekarang jakarta sudah berubah banyak,, met, lrt, kereta cepat sudah aktif
Ya udah lumayan maju !
Me origin Indonesia and grow up in Surakarta can living in Jakarta just no more than 2 years.. so crowd im dying.. back to my city in Solo or Surakarta, live easy and get more chance than in Jakatta
Of all places you choose Jakarta? Life's pretty rough there, competitions on top of competitions..
I ended up there, and I learned a lot, I actually enjoyed it
Even for local people from other region, its hard to live in Jakarta cuz its so Fast
Bener kaya negara sendiri
Hallo brothers❤❤
Hi brother
❤❤❤
❤❤❤
❤❤❤
🙏🏼✨
Bro, same. Jakarta keras
Keras bgt !
I forget my bag with laptop in airport jakarta after 1hours i get back and i find it and police smiling because they see me when i left it tgere to go to toilet i was only me what a night in 2023
I am "anak daerah" 3 decades ago, and i am still having that feeling everytime i am in the crowd in jakarta. This city always throws a curve ball towards you in a straight pitch speed. Sometimes it just caught my by surprise, in a good way or in the bad. Either way, i always try to smile and enjoy the moment
I feel you, Jakarta has a special energy ! You learn a lot from it
Jakarta is called THE BIG DURIAN = Either you like it OR hate it. There is no in between.
Hahahaha and I like durian
It's not because of Jakarta. Everytime you put yourself in discomfort and adapt to it, you would find yourself show gratitude toward life.
That’s true but I think cities and environment plays an important role as well
🔥🔥🔥
🙏🏼✨
