He’s laughing at how ridiculous it all is. They’re probably getting paid a good chunk of money but he knows it’s just background music for the models. She’s laughing at the absurdity, but his sound, his tenor saxophone sound for all time, comes through as always.

One has to remember that the French loved jazz from its inception.
Its black origins, its nuances, subtlety, its perfection, beauty, & innovation..
They took to it like ducks to water. Loved The Americans who played it & came to France during the postwar years. & the musicians & the dives which they haunted & loved in Paris & France & Europe.. The French musicians too started to experiment with jazz, loved it..Michel Legrand so many others, composers, artists.. esp when further Bossanova hit the planet, took it by storm.. and Stan Getz was at the heart of both Jazz & Bossanova Going global.. He was a phenomenon !! Like a GOD in France.. They couldn't get enough of him.. So much so that even the1977 movie, Alain Delon, Mort d'un Pourri - ie Death Of a Corrupt Man.. the Director, Georges Lautner, had his special composer for films Philippe Sarde ..write tracks designed to showcase the musical genius of Stan Getz.. centred on the script plot. Philippe Sardet did a wonderful job.. that Stan Getz breathed life into - animated - a tour de force musically.. brooding, pensive, melancholic, dark, light in parts, reminiscent of parts of Paris - it was an exquisite collaboration.. which you can hear on RUclips.. the movie soundtrack..some 49.34 mins in 12 tracks.. Brillant work by Stan Getz - that was so iconic & famous in France & cinema..& globally - that the French couldn't resist having the Iconic guru of the Jazz Saxophone - conjure up his magic in there artistic film creations.
This improv music - for the LANVIN AD Film .. is a part of that era.. that infatuation, insatiable thirst for Stan Getz, Jazz & Bossanova.. especially embodied in the persona of the God gifted Talents of Stan Getz..
Style, verve, panache, design, artistic, topical, zippy, bubbly, rich with double entendre, fizzy, surprising, Sparkling, innovative, talked about, in fashion, full of life, excitement, - embodying ALL these things.. Things that that French loved... & love.. as a culture..
That's what it was ALL about & was .& is..
For those who never lived thru that golden, era.. Peace, Love, Humanity, Woodstock, hippies, flower power, LSD and living it up, discovering yourself & the world..
To understand the free flowing, uninhibited, nature of life's aspirations.. in those sylvan , golden years.. of Hope & Universal Love
    Enjoy amigos & senoritas

Stan Getz est plus concentré sur les filles que sur la musique mais comme il joue des morceaux qu'il a joué des centaines de fois, il s'en sort sans effort. 😆

This is the most ridiculous set ever! Those models are jumping on top of boxes, barely able to take steps; the guy and his entourage look like drugged Roman consul and the dazed attire observing at latest conquest from an exotic land. And the jazz band, obviously exhausted, plays South-American bossa nova while asking themselves are those fashin houses just mad, stupidly rich, or both?
