I totally agree with this gentleman. Happiness comes from within and one can only rely on yourself. I wish him well 🙏. Thank you for your videos, they put a smile on my face 😊
I think it's great if someone can find somebody they connect with, that can enrich their life, but like this guy said, you can't rely on someone else to give your life purpose, that comes from within. You can see them as a positive addition to your life while still being happy on your own. I think the reason the divorce rate is so high is because people think that if they just get into a relationship, the other person will instantly fix all their problems, but only YOU can fix you ultimately, and paradoxically, you have to be able to be happy on your own to be happy with somebody else.
I couldn't agree more with this gentleman. Putting your heart in other people's hands is a risky business! I love being responsible for myself and not relying on others. It's a joy!
What wise words Michael speaks.. ."Putting your heart in somebody's else's hands".....I've never thought about it in this way. I feel exactly the same as Michael. Thank you for sharing. 🙏🥰
my gosh im 25 and im going to grow to be this gentleman, and im happy with that reality, hardest part is having people ask many questions and express how "its not good" to live this way. I show it thru my energy but still they refuse to believe im happy, daily activities, spending time with nature and volunteering is enough to keep me busy or "sane" for the rest of my existence, but coming home to a peaceful environment and knowing that no one will interrupt that is just the best.
just keep up that energy. I just moved into my 1st apt by myself and being by myself, despite being aware that im an introverted person, was something I needed that took so long to realize. I used to be tied to those ideas of needing another half but I've just now experienced that peacefulness of being on your own.
@@cygnuscraft9544 lengthy text: congratulations on the apt and coming to this realization. For many people their thoughts don't always lead them to a happy place but a dark remembrance of things they've spent their entire lives trying to ignore and forget. Spending time by yourself can help expose these suppressed emotions and address it. So if you're by yourself and you're completely happy and at peace know that you have the ability to share this energy with others and/or use it to help others in need of that glimmer of hope. I'm extremely happy for you if i could give you a tip i learned, some days might be dark but it will pass, to help you thru those times, keep a journal it really helps, its much better to express those emotions than distract yourself or 'sleep it off'. We may be introverts but we're humans first so don't be afraid to try and open yourself to some interaction in the form of workshops, hobbies, volunteering (most times working with animals is ideal), you will be protective of this peaceful space you've built so only surround yourself with the things that align with that feeling. Best wishes to you!
@@nicolad8822 living alone means living alone, if your logic applies across the board then going to work is "meeting people" as well, same as this gentlemen going out for some air would be "meeting people" as well. We are humans first and you cant escape reality or human contact, all this means is you value your peace and you're protective of the space you've built, it doesnt mean no contact with the world it just means you appreciate more time by yourself
I really like your site, it is lovely how you always bring out a smile in people. Thank you for the lovely photos you take and how you always seem to gently pry information from what are sometimes shy people.
I loved when he said: “ going through dramatic health challenges and making it through adds a new joy to life” that is such a true statement! Such an interesting man and I hope he continues to find good health.
What a great channel that I discovered yesterday. It amazes how easily people open up and share from their heart. Probably the most unique channel I've ever seen--enjoyable. I'm going to tell all my friends here in Vero Beach. Absolutely exquisite photos! Thank you.
Thank you! It is so wonderful to hear that people from all over the world appreciate what I do. Your very kind comment has made my day. Please look out for me if I ever decide to come to Vero Beach (sounds idyllic). Thank you again.
I think he has a wonderful speaking voice! He would be ideal to narrate Irish novels on audiobooks and such! Thank you for introducing him to us!😊🕵🏼♂️❤
Michael is lovely, great outlook on life & l'm with him on the bit where he says he enjoys his own company ,bme as well. Always have, never lonely. God bless him & your channel brings me much joy. You always seem to pick such wonderful souls. 🙏❤️🙏
Me too, am very content and happy being alone. Not bitter. Maybe on the autistic spectrum or an introvert. I can be social in smaller groups, but absolutely don't need it. Books are my friends.
Yep, me too. Not all couples though - sometimes you get two people who genuinely make a great team and complement each other, but they're still each their own person. It's those who live in each others' pockets and don't have their own lives and interests, they're the ones I worry about.
"Putting your heart in someone elses hands..." He had his heart broken by someone. I feel that pain. It is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.
Why do people look at being alone as something negative ? Some of you best times is with your own thoughts ! It's like saying it like being around people that you a are needy 🤔 😉

What a super interesting, lovely man. Godspeed, and all the best with your health challenges. I frequently feel the same, and question why I need anyone at all.... (although my children are closest in my heart)
The fear of putting your heart in others hands can make you feel the need to be to yourself. Being vulnarable to the possibility of finding who will cherish you and possibly having true love outways any fear ❤
I live alone, but get very lonely. My grown up kids and biological family are half a world away, and I don't really have any friends. I try to stay busy with work, and hobbies, but miss the connection I had with my lovely wife, who left three years ago. I'd love to know this dear man's secret, to being more content. Is it wrong to desire the company of others?
It takes a while when alone (widowed?) to rethink who you are. Embrace the gift of solitude to learn more about yourself. Stay open to connection in life's small, everyday encounters. My expertise is in happily being alone but am in a stage of life where I need a few more meaningful relationships. I truly feel complete people have both life experiences. All the best to you as you navigate this opportunity you have been gifted.
He is very wise. I learned it too. I never wanted to be alone, that was not my choice. But it is so good, there is so much you can do that costs virtually nothing. You can be so close to God. I think its the greatest secret.
I wish my ex could see (and understand) this lovely man's ethos: I tried telling him but he wasn't at a place in his life where he could recognise that if your career becomes what defines you, when that career is gone who are you then? He's of retirement age now so I guess he'll find out I was right.
He is lucky, being alone is a blessing from God, just needs to settle career, enough money in account, lakh RS per month income, that's all, own house,
Totally agree. The only person you can rely on at the end of the day is yourself.
I don’t believe this. It’s sad that is the case for you.. but it’s not for everyone. It’s definitely not for me.
Yeh I don't agree. My wife has had my back since the day we met and it's why she's my wife.
I totally agree..
