FF 15 would have been even more crazy if the other 3 planned DLCs had released. They build on the "Resist" ending of the Episode Ardyn DLC (as opposed to the "Accept" ending which leads to the canonical ending). We would have gotten to play as Araneia and Lunafreya, we would get to fight both Diamond and Emerald Weapons, we would have been able to finally summon Ifrit, and the final boss would have been Bahamut. There would also have been an alternate "happier" ending. They made a book out of the DLC story if anyone wants to read it. It's called "The Dawn of the Future."

Creating an expansion in order to apologise for flaws in the base game is ambitious but isn't it easier to just release the base game in an acceptable state in the first place?
I agree but i feel like you have to cut the acc devs some credit, they're rushed constantly to realease games for a company that ultimately just wants to make money, so they never learn and the devs don't have a chance to show their efforts a lot of the time
That's the thing, contracts exist. Ideally a developer wants to put out a perfect game, it's human nature...but more often than not they have a publisher who is paying for it, who expects it out on a deadline or with things that the developer might not necessarily want in there but have no choice. If the developer doesn't meet these deadlines or puts its foot down against something, the publisher pulls the funding or cancels the project or sues the developer for breach of contract. Ergo, if that means the game has to be put out with a bug or two they can iron out after that's fine by the devs, they can fix that. If it requires a whole expansion, you can typically follow the reason back to the source, the publisher or whoever is holding the purse strings.

Top 10 video video game main characters that deserve to be in a fighting game. Any series: Mortal Kombat, Injustice, Tekken, Street Fighter, or Killer Instinct.

As a huge fan of the soulsborne series and obviously playing Elden Ring, I think some games can just have a set difficulty so everyone gets the "same experience"
This. The game is designed to be a certain difficulty, progression is tailored that way. And in Elden Ring's case, the difficulty emphasizes the need to explore (and stay out of herpes land) the gigantic map to find gear updates, and/or let you get more practice. Having a difficulty setting option for a game tailor made for a specific experience just sounds silly. If it's just too hard or frustrating, move on to a different game. Not every game is for everyone, just the same for movies, books, or television.
Jules, I just want to say you are amazing for positively addressing emotional and mental health at the end of your videos. Just knowing that little segment will be there is an amazing little feel good moment in the day, if only for the reason you're helping to chip away at the stigma surrounding mental health bit by bit. I may not know you, but I know you are a kick !ss individual, and let no one tell you different.

Top 10 MetroidVania games that aren’t Metroid or Castlevania. I personally feel Apotheon needs to be highlighted as that game went under the radar and was absolutely amazing.
Mass Effect 3 got 3 essential updates: update to the base ending, explaining the Reaper history in Leviathan, and really emotionally sticking the landing with the Citadel DLC. Maybe it's more a case of "Most value added via DLC" than anything.
7:20 I love how this implies Jules killed kimself for not winning the award. R.I.P. Jules Gill, you will be missed. I look forward to seeing your clone, that WC has been growing for this possiblity, next video.
Here is an idea. About times when you thought you couldn't access some areas or quests after reaching a specific point, but in actuality they are always accessible. Some examples: In the game Pokemon Colosseum you have to catch specific Pokemon of your enemies. There are those bosses with Entei, Suicune and Raikou. I thought if I defeat them on the two encounters I fight them, I would never get them in that playthrough. In actuality I can fight them as much as I want later in an unlockable area after the main-story. Another game is Tales of Symphonia were you have to get right before the final boss to unlock every end-game content in the game. I never missed out on some content. I only never unlocked them.
I'd add Borderlands 2 on this list, based solely on Jules' caveat/criteria. Now, don't get me wrong, Borderlands 2 is an AMAZING game and definitely in my top 5 of all time, but 2 DLCs took an already amazing game and made it god-tier for me: the Mechromancer additional character and Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragonkeep. Not everyone will agree that Gaige was all that great, but to those people I say, "look up her backstory audiolog here on RUclips." It's SO clever and funny and sets her up as SUCH an amazing character. But regardless of your feelings on Gaige, the Dragonkeep DLC is arguably the best DLC ever created for a game in history. Funny and clever, it manages to maintain the feel and a reverence of the main game while simultaneously combining a completely different genre. And then manages to tell a gut-wrenching story of loss and grief. It's unarguably the embodiment of perfection and brilliance!
Suggestion: 10 best [insert elemental power]-using characters. That may sound childish, but it would be nice to see who's the best Fire / Water / Wind / Earth / Lightning / Ice / Light / Dark / Time / Death / Sound / Magic-using character... and bonus points if Jules paints an Avatar [The Last Airbender] arrow on his head for the video XD

Perfect time for a video like this as I recently started playing Undead Nightmare on my Series X and really missing a time when single player dlc actually mattered and had care and effort put into it
I think that Mass Effect 3 and while yes the "extended cut" was important I feel the Leviathan DLC was much more so as it explained where the reapers came from.
FF15 needed dlc? No offense but the dlc is like the majority of the game, the vanilla version had barely any content besides driving for 20 hours in the car and play the few hours of story. 4 Story DLC, 1 Multiplayer DLC, a fucking Movie and a stupid book that rewrites everything. it got enough DLC. Also what enix says barely matters since "ofc they didnt cut out any content to sell it later as DLC" ... the season pass was announced together with the game.

On Sekiro let‘s be honest - Hirata and its bosses feels like a dlc level which is part of the main game, as it is entirely optional and not really physically connected to the main map, also supported by the fact that it is a mere memory. We have received so much value and content, it would be unthankful to ask „but where‘s the dlc?“.
why are we gate keeping? well we didn't want to at first but then a loud of minority keep demanding that all their wants are to be catered to. i thought games is supposed be an art form so why do people keep demanding that the art needs to be change for them? some games the difficulty is part of what the developers want their players to experience changing that would change the entire experience of the game. yes, by adding a difficulty setting it will sale more copies but if all games would be like that then it will stop being an art and just becomes another product.
Hey Annoying Jules, 99% of the world, including Sakurai, KNOWS Kirby is a badass! He attacked the main antagonist of Return to Dreamland with the Ultra Sword Super Ability, vaporized Queen Sectonia with her own laser with Hypernova, drilled straight through Star Dream with the Robobot Armor, defeated Void Termina with the power of friendship and rammed Fecto Elfilis with a truck! And an actual challenge for DLC for Kirby Star Allies? Does the highest difficulty of The Ultimate Choice which is Soul Melter EX not come to mind for you?
Why has Fallout 76 never cater to there gamers i as well as thousands of others have wrote in about how difficult the game is and now its one of my favorite games but completely unplayable cause evrything is my lvl i get 10 supermutants on me im dead heck i had 6 star ghouls on me at the airport right before the supply drop! 8 Video Game plot twists that happens at/near the beginning. (Examples include the Animus from Assassin's Creed or that you played as a templar in Assassin's Creed 3, and we can't forget Raiden from MGS2, you know what I mean.)
Have you ever done a video on best comedy games/best comedy moments in games? Maybe funniest pro/antagonists? The book from It Takes Two or Glados from Portal come to mind straight away!
Can see the whole issue of radiation immune allies not entering the chamber in F3 being annoying, but doesn’t the narrator basically subtly call you a coward and not worthy of heroism if you send in Fawkes or Lyons? Probably a little nit picky but I can’t be the only person who noticed that. Also late to the video but if you’re reading this Jules, great work as always!
I'm tempted to say Pokémon Sword & Shield, since the expansions added missing Pokémon. Also, one of the extra features was Gigantimaxing your starter... when it felt like Rillaboom, Cinderace and Inteleon should have gotten their G-Max forms in the base game.
Remnants of Ashes is not Darksouls with guns Remnants is its on game and if you played Chronos you would know this but yes it could use more dlc. An some crying cause the bosses summoned hordes if you a ok group you shouldn,t of had a problem no wonder i can't find people to play with other than my brother i sad when a girl gamer had no problem here!

I think Warioware get it together needs dlc characters like Megaman exe, Hatsune miku, Sal out, 13 amp, Vanessa from touced, Syrup, queen Merelda and Ochako from my hero academia.
I'm still here for the Pokemon Legends Arceus DLC where we head to the islands, find new regional pokemon, and hunt down Volo so that the end of our entire deal is on *our* terms not his. Yes, I know it's unlikely at this point. But I'm gonna sit here with my sign and my dream anyway.
Me at the 4:42 point: ZOMG IT'S THE BIG BIRD COSTUME THAT WAS STOLEN AS A PRANK IN ADELAIDE BACK IN 2021!!! (For context, I live in Adelaide, Australia :P and I found the story for said theft hilarious)
They should have had a DLC for Red Dead Redemption 2. The ability to see what happened on the river boat that caused the death of so many gang members. Also DLC on Charles Smith and all he did for the Indian Tribe, and how he escaped. Also DLC on Sadie and what happened to Karen. Perhaps also who is GAVIN???
Great list, and Aliens v Predator would be one that I think could use some TLC, also will always comment for the positive words at the end of your videos!! Rock on Mate!
I didn’t think the Marauder needed to be tweaked when it first appeared as a boss. It was an interesting duel and mechanically fun when all your attention was solely on it. However as a regular enemy it was ridiculous as it actually interfered with the frenetic run and gun arena fights. So I will take the Nerfing because that trade off of getting an easier boss fight while losing an unnecessarily frustrating regular enemy is a good choice.
It’s a shame that even after all its free updates and reworks that people still won’t give BF2 a second chance. There’s a massive amount of people that still think it’s still in the same state as it was at launch, which couldn’t be further from the truth. Those that I have convinced to either come back or pick it up for $5 on sale end up genuinely enjoying it and having a great time with it
Dragon Age Inquisition's Trespasser DLC completely reshaped not only the entry itself but the entire series as a whole with its implications on the lore of DA and the fates of prominent characters involved. Definitely one of those DLCs that should have been included in the main game with how impactful it is.
I really appreciate James for his editing. This needs more James and Jazz. Loved the video as always.

why are we gate keeping? well we didn't want to at first but then a loud of minority keep demanding that all their wants are to be catered to. i thought games is supposed be an art form so why do people keep demanding that the art needs to be change for them? some games the difficulty is part of what the developers want their players to experience changing that would change the entire experience of the game. yes, by adding a difficulty setting it will sale more copies but if all games would be like that then it will stop being an art and just becomes another product.
But everything is supposed to be for everyone......but then again these are same say "it wasn't made for" when you start criticizing things they like.
When are they gonna fix that??? Honestly i was not finished the og game so the Dlc screwed me you should be able to play beat og than go to Dlc like every other fallout game. thanx for listening to me have a great day.
8 Video Game plot twists that happens at/near the beginning. (Examples include the Animus from Assassin's Creed or that you played as a templar in Assassin's Creed 3, and we can't forget Raiden from MGS2, you know what I mean.)
Top 10 Characters you wish could team up with Crash Bandicoot.
Any character like Mario or Banjoo.
Nice try. Any suggestion you put in is an automatic nope. Just unsub and pester other channels instead
"I can smell purple" I don't think I have heard anyone else say this besides myself I laughed so f%%kin hard. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 🍻
FINALLY, another musical interlude. thank you for making my year.
Got one: Top 10 tropes we love in (genre) video games vs Top 10 tropes we hate. Honestly, this could be like 5 or more lists given all the genres.
Have you ever done a video on best comedy games/best comedy moments in games? Maybe funniest pro/antagonists? The book from It Takes Two or Glados from Portal come to mind straight away!
Love the use of the big bird costume picture.
That was from when it was stolen here in Adelaide from the sesame st circus!
I’ve always been interested in the stories of games that were completely changed and therefor ruined by producer/company interference.
Because its getting a remaster but Dead Space. First 2 games were amazing. And Resident Evil
Jules’s and James’s chemistry makes these videos.
Remnants of Ashes is not Darksouls with guns Remnants is its on game and if you played Chronos you would know this but yes it could use more dlc. An some crying cause the bosses summoned hordes if you a ok group you shouldn,t of had a problem no wonder i can't find people to play with other than my brother i sad when a girl gamer had no problem here!
in accordance with this ep. Games that need continuations..lost franchises that were great and need another part..Suikoden, Space Empires, Freelancer Kotor Dragon Dogma
4:40 🤷♂️ I mean the original novelization of Stuart Little did say he was a human who was born with a defect that made him into a mouse.
Thoroughly entertaining 👏🏾
The Crown Jules of the WhatCulture family does it again.
Not sure if anyone suggested this, but I f this video was made a year later, cyberpunk would be on this list.
My suggestion for a video is the top 8 games or video game franchises that generated more interest from TV shows or movies based on those video games, aka Pokémon, The Witcher, or Cyberpunk edgerunners.
Big ups for referencing sonic for hire. Great RUclips series
FF 15 needed the emding with the princess DLC that was made a novel maybe. Ok, Jules make a video of game needed a dlc to fully flash out the ending
Please do a best multi player/ co op games love this watch it every Tuesdays
Stellar editing in this episode, well done lads. Thanks for embracing the chaos.
Keep spreading the love Jules. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Those that I have convinced to either come back or pick it up for $5 on sale end up genuinely enjoying it and having a great time with it
That was genuinely one of the best ways of describing the Chaos Gods.
Gotta know where Jules got that sweater/jumper…very nice. Info appreciated 😄
Dragon Age Inquisition's Trespasser DLC completely reshaped not only the entry itself but the entire series as a whole with its implications on the lore of DA and the fates of prominent characters involved. Definitely one of those DLCs that should have been included in the main game with how impactful it is.
Nice Skeletor impression with the Sekiro intro Jules!
12:01 13:17 No! Fallout 76 is not salvageable even if it was possible to bury it into the desert.
Literally watch these for the motivational speech at the end. Love ya, jules!
