Gold Rush looks like a very photogenic coaster if you ask me. Perfect for professional photography. (Especially that end shot God that looks beautiful)
Before I rode it last year, I thought it looks fine but my expectations were not too high, so I was quite impressed by this coaster: First of all, the theming is great and the ride is short, but with a nice intensity, especially the dive loop provides cool hangtime after the backwards launch. Overall, I enjoyed Gold Rush (and some other Infinity Coasters - Kärnan and Karacho, which are also great fun!)
I remember seeing an interview with one of the engineers at Gerstlauer, where he said that the team that worked on the Gold Rush was a bit puzzled as to how they were going to fit this rollercoaster roughly into the same space as the compact made-for-travel Thunder Loop. I think they did a good job though!
YES!!! I would love to see a lot of smaller parks get these... They're compact, thrilling, and will have a great capacity for parks with not as many visitors. Also the triple launch system could be marketed well and would attract many visitors... I'd really love to see the concept of Gold Rush taken a bit further with a non-enclosed circuit and/or a beyond vertical drop. It's very doable.
For the small Themepark of Slagharen, it is "expensive" and I consider it a massive succes! the hangtime in the dive loop is pretty unique and makes re-runs worth it.
The top speed isnt 90kmh its 95~96kmh. When they where testing the speed came out higher. Yes they should build more unique triple launch coaster. Also thx for the laugh. More dutch coaster plz cuz the pronounsiation is just funny to listen to.
@@autogolazzojr7950 I'm a bit late but oh well. and yea that's true but for smalled parks 800 guess per hour is actually pretty good, and it's a fun coaster. I dont see this working for bigger parks though
I love Gold Rush! :D I rode it 10 times in a row two days ago :). I love the way the second launch feels in the back row, cuz you are almost completely over your head when climbing the hill. The soundtrack is also amazing, but you can't really hear it in the queue, they really need to turn it up hahaha
It's definitely a front row ride. In the back it is very rough. In the front it's also shaky, but less. The launches also felt more forceful in the front. The first two launches are pretty forceless, but the third is very good and has a solid sense of speed. The top hat, helix, drop and slingloop/sidewinder are forceless. The bunny hill should give air, but it doesn't, because the ops staple you. The dive loop does give some wicked laterals. It's good ride, but it's not enough to be a top tier Gerstlauer.
I did get air on the bunny hill though, maybe you where holding on too tightly? That’s the reason I didn’t get air time on my first ride there either, because I was too tense, hunched over in my seat and holding on too tightly/bracing myself too much. Edit: Sorry, I read that wrong, didn’t read they pinned you into too much. But even the times I was strapped in tightly, I still got air time (not including the first time because of my own fault).
Hahaha you must be joking. The front is so much better. The back shakes you around like riding a bull. I guess it is a western themed park though, so theming?
@@DaanBruins nah, I enjoyed it more kn the back. Difference is really only in two elements but that still makes the back my favorite. And the slight rattle just adds to the ride
@@CoasterTopia Yeah i rode Formule X at Drievliet in the Netherlands, it was tiny and short. But overall a very good ride with a fun launch, a good airtime moment and lots and lots of hangtime.
Pretty cool. The 5 car trains look sweet, good their upping the capacity even though for this ride it was a must since its only 1 train. I hope the line isnt too bad
it really depends. if you're a park like cedar point than no, but if you're a smaller park without a lot of space then these types of coasters are very good
Appeantly SW8s name is K - Hole, I read it on a article, but it might've been written by a GP because it had a picture of the corkscrew from the park. I hope its a troll tbh. But Great video bro!
Thats a great addition for many smaller parks giving the cheap price and small footprint. But i could see them struggling at bigger park such as Cedar Point or Portaventura as the throughput on top of the sheer amount of guests will not work well. Maybe they could add a duel station away from the launch just like in Mr.Freeze blast ride at Six Flags.
I'm not sure exactly for this one, but "4D Roller Coasters Explained" took 14 hours to produce from start to end. This one was probably closer to 10 hours. :)
That's a good suggestion. However, there is a lack footage for some older roller coaster that no longer exists. This makes it difficult to produce videos on these roller coasters. I will continue to look into it though. :)
Joris en de draak is on the list of roller coasters to cover in future videos. De vliegende hollander is also on the list too! Thanks for the suggestion. :)
I'll think about creating a video on that coaster when it is open, as it's difficult to get footage and information on a coaster that hasn't been built yet! :)
No more triple launches. They seriously limit capacity and the launches are boring. I'd rather have one awesome, forceful launch and a higher capacity then 3 mediocre forceless ones.
From what I've heard, the final launch on Gold Rush is quite forceful. Many have rated this ride extremely well, especially when factoring in how small and compact it is. SRIIs I understand the hate, but this is something more exciting. Capacity is an issue that is dependent on the park. 800 riders per hour is a good number for Slagharen. :)

Mike Veenhuis yes the coaster contains two spikes (with a highest point of 43meters) a top hat of 40meters a dive loop some airtime and two more inversions where i don't know the name of, i believe the speed is +/- 100km/h and it contains two switch tracks to run two trains at one time. YESS! A new Dutch Roller Coaster :)
Whoooo! :)

I have to agree, the colour scheme and train design are fantastic. As well as the general theming, it's a great looking coaster. :)
It's got one of the best colour schemes ever if you ask me. I really love it
Nice pronunctiation, you keep nailing the Dutch names :)
also, great quality video

Fury in Bobbejaanland bring you this, two years after you wrote this comment.
This was actually a pretty kick ass ride!
Awesome, it definitely looks it! :)
It’s like a Skyrocket II, but better
Awesome! Thanks for the shoutout at the end :)
No problem, thanks for allowing me to use your awesome footage! It's really fantastic Tibor. :)
Was there on the opening day! Amazing ride for this short layout! Everyone who visit the netherlands should check it out!
Awesome to hear! I'd love to give it a go. :)
It makes my day when you post a new vid. Thanks Harry!
No problem! Thanks for such a nice comment. :)

this is the fourth dutch coaster now, you must really like the Netherlands
I have a lot of Dutch friends, so it's very easy to make videos on roller coasters in the Netherlands. There's quite a few hidden gems over there! :)
If you do a video about a darkride, yoy have to do it about Symbolica!
I'll add Symbolica to the list, thanks for the suggestion! :)
Would you ever like it if Maurer did a triple launch coaster using their X-Cars?
Kenepo4u why not?

Awesome video Harry!
Thanks Aron, how bad was the pronunciation? ;)
COASTER BOT Pretty good! It's a difficult name to pronounce but you pretty much nailed it for someond not familiar with the language :)
You are too kind ;)

You don't want that, trust me!
But I want to. I want to hear Harry say Joris en de Draak and Vliegende Schatkist and Kikkerachtbaan.
Oh no, that doesn't sound good... Ha ha :)
it really depends. if you're a park like cedar point than no, but if you're a smaller park without a lot of space then these types of coasters are very good
A larger version of this ride without the triple launch, and just one launch, would be very interesting for any large theme park I'd say. :)
Harry: What is gold rush
Me: a great coaster
It certainly looks it!
Waiting for Nova to comment something like 'Harry, you can stretch out my sidewinder' or something like that .... nice video btw!
