@Mihaela I grew up there and watched as the tent cities slowly started taking over every patch of grass next to the roads. I've worked in businesses while a random guy is urinating on the front window. I've been threatened by random lunatics who thought I was following them when I just got off of work. The police don't show up to deal with crime, but they will definitely pull me over 7 times in 3 months for no discernable reason. My family forked over more than half our income just for rent in some of the worst parts of town. We couldn't save. The daily crime was getting out of control. The city was literally watching us because somebody complained that we were always doing repairs on our cars, so of course they had time and resources for that. Thankfully, we managed to get out before the riots, and everyone I talk to that moved out of there after I left has told me things have just gotten worse.
